I have actually thought about this for a very long time now. Our oil that was initially thought as a form of blessing to me is actually a curse in disguise. Base on my own POV(point of view), our over dependent on this black gold has caused us lots and lots of problems. And worst of is that we had selfish and greedy leaders back then when this oil was seen as a source of revenue. They had the chance and power to diversify our economy but refused. These leaders kept eating stock piling their accounts abroad at the expense of the common man. Since we refused to diversify back then when we had the money in excess why do we think diversifying our economy now when even our source of revenue is at its worst stage.
Come to think of it, imagine we never had
Oil, I believe we would have had other mineral resources to look at & depend on. Which to me would have been better of this black gold.
Now, Nigerians are insulting Buhari, but they forgot those that were in power back then. To me, Buhari is just so unlucky at the moment to want to govern us now at this perilous time. We know Buhari has the interest of this country at heart but our present situation has actually tied his hands. Our prayer is that God sees us through this trying times in this country and let God give Buhari the wisdom to lead us to the promised land he said he would during his election period.
