President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that 113 crude oil vessels should be banned from doing business in 27 oil terminals of the Nigerian territorial waters. Group General Manager, Crude Oil Marketing Division, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Gbenga Komolafe, conveyed the directive of the president via a memo dated July 15, 2015. A copy of the memo made available to Premium Times states that the vessels are henceforth prohibited from engaging in crude oil and gas loading activities in any of the terminals in Nigerian territorial waters. Copies of the memo signed by Komolafe were addressed to all terminal operators: Director of the Department of Petroleum Resources; Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency, and the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, mandating them to effect the directive immediately. The motive for the ban was however, not stated in the memo but Premium Times gathered that it may not be unconnected with certain discrepancies between the volume of crude oil lifted by the affected vessels from various Nigerian terminals and the volume eventually discharged abroad to buyers. The source explained further that NNPC discovered huge discrepancies between the volume of crude oil lifted from Nigeria by these vessels and what they actually delivered to customers abroad. There is a speculation that these vessels engage in high level of connivance to steal crude oil. The affected vessels include MV Eliza, with international maritime organisation registration, IMO, No. 9387578, MV Happines (No. 9212905); MV Progress (No. 9180152), MV New Harmony (No. 963207); MV Cosgrace Lake (No. 9294587) and MV Plata Glory (No. 9172674). Others are MV Humanity (No. 9180281); MV Scf Shanghai (No. 9325968); MV Tenyo (No. 9222443); MV Astro Challenge (No. 9237072); MV Maran Thetis (No. 94214427); MV BW Bauhinia (No. 9315070); MV Dream (No.9356893); MV Xin Dan Yag (No. 96140048) and MV Desim (No. 9395305). Yommiefish:my brother it wont work that way. ok let me give u an i dea of what im saying, natural fruit is the new trend in the market, from a research i read, it cost 100k$ to purchase a full production machine from china that will peel , squeeze, filter and package an orange. you know that business idea can become a reality once you have the cash, what will be left is importation cost of machine, sourcing of oranges, nafdac and factory. so my point now is how can we add value to fish products and what will be the cost |
Yommiefish:That is like the last phase.what is needed now is product development, what are we going to market? who is our market target, what are the competitors not offering that will differentiate our products? so over to you |

In management there is what we call culture identity, dress code in any organisation has several advantages 1. it gives an identity (branding)( dont be surprise that its not only about what you wear , companies go as far as choosing colours of what you should wear) 2. its helps separate business from leisure( the way you dressed will determine how you are been addressed) 3. Its also shows a level of discipline. 4. It identifies different professions without even interaction. ( i know a police man or a soldier through uniforms. There are other reasons but this should do |
Editor1:That's not even the point. you cant mention your fathers name ! yet you call a president of over 200million people a dullard. I can proudly mention my fathers name and its well known and respected in my state and beyond yet i will accept Buhari is a great man. All you local razz children that just hide behind the internet world . |
Editor1:can we know who your father is then? if he's recognized in just your local government i promise to load your phone with 1k of any network of your choice. |
@The mention of PMB 'name the system is working |
Yommiefish:.. well i appreciate your thoughts and its really sad we haven't exploited the big market in Nigeria, most agric produce/live stocks have been straight from rhe source to the consumer . There is a big market for value added services, product development and preservations. I will like to be part of this if you can come up with a plan. I'm new in farming/live stock buisness but experienced in management, marketing and logistics . |
Yommiefish:well with what i read i believe its a product development, which is to start making local canned fish (i.e sardines) a platform should be opened for interested investors , the truth is that there will always be enough supply of fish and once the project is up and running all other stakeholders will form a network automatically. |
with all this grammar i dint see any link or contact of how the stakeholders will come together |
chibuto:i have 1200sqm in karshi (rofo) residential. you can quote me if interested |

Dont try and convince a tanoid about this administration. let them display foolishness at will, they have no choice than to live in bitterness until 2019. |
