gidgiddy: Recovery of stolen funds has been happening since the days of OBJ, nothing special
Calmness in the North east, since when? Everyday you still here about fighting there. The violence may have reduced but it is still far from calm.
Blocking avenues of stealing money: Tell us what these are because money is still being stolen every day
Biggest budget in history: Don't make me laugh. Who will not have a big budget after borrowing from China? Guess who will be paying it back and at what rate?
Bottomline is that Buhari has no track record of being a success at anything except coup plotting. He was faliure as a Governor, he was a faliure as a Minister, He was a faliure as Military head of state and as PTF Chairman. So anyone who is hoping that he will be a success now as a civilian president better double up on prayers because if Buhari's disasterous one year in office is anything to go by, everone is in trouble From your write up I have come to conclude that you are either under 18 or suffering from amnesia so tell me which is true? under buhari as the minister nigeria built the oil refineries . since 30 years plus nobody has been able to build 1single depot yet u call him a failure when he was a governor he chased the maitsaini from the north until he got to chad and had to be cautioned by obj not to start a war because he passed our boundry Travel to the north and see how fantastic the road is compared to other region due to ptf (plenty classrooms were built and book s was shared. if sure-p or nddc did half of what buhari did as ptf chairman nobody willl be crying about 2nd niger bridge Read your history book next time boy |

lagosrd: Oga ooooo. Anyway I think I need to educate you on this one. You can have uniformity in construction and zoning is however used based on population density. Where you want low density you can zone blocked of duplexes of not more than 3 bedroom per lot .on the other hand where you need high density you can equally build/ zone block of flats and 4bdrm +5bedrm and so on there. So what government need do is to provide the land, do simple buildable designs put in infrastructures like electricity poles , maybe central sewage system, tarred roads and allocate such land to beneficiaries with strict monitoring on construction methods and standards. Hope that is useful brov. All you just wrote is known by all, now lets be practical. mention areas that were build by individual s ( not companies or fg) that has all the infrastructure you just mentioned in nigeria |

lagosrd: Bro I quite agree with you but in this situation is Nigeria going towards that direction. Government have no business in business. Let them just regulate. So you want people to die again from collapse buildings and pls tell me what does a lawyer knows about construction excel that they poke their nose everywhere. Meanwhile check well USA doesn't do this trash china and their likes is a communist country. when they empower you what will you build? probably a bungalow, your neighbors build duplexes another one builds blocks of flats. where is the uniformity? who will do the infrastructures like road, water , electricity etc? my point is that mass housing is always a win win situation |

bejeiodus: Lamido has shown himself as a committed party man. He's one of the few politicians who were angry at the way Jonathan was handed the Presidential ticket without a primary. He could have left the party like some of his colleagues in the New PDP but he didn't do so. I like the fact that he has made his ambition known so early. But I don't see him as a man whose candidacy can get the PDP enough northern votes. The PDP must lure either Atiku or Kwankwaso to the party with its presidential ticket. These are the two men who have a fair chance against Buhari in the North. All we do is to give some politicians imaginary reputation. atiku that barely has a say in adamawa will now beat buhari? unless something happens to buhari or pdp wins tinubu over so as to regain south west. North will always give buhari 10m plus voters . No northerner can unseat buhari |

obailala: The comparison is usually started by deluded supporters of the last administration.
If they must criticise, they should criticise and ask for improved governance. But when they base their criticism on a comparison with the past, claiming that the past was excellent but things are now getting bad, then they leave people no choice but to clap back by opening threads like this to remind them of what they selectively chose to forget. And then in embarrassment, they always come up with this very line of argument of "things are supposed to be done differently."
Of course things are supposed to be done differently, but you can start by not telling us that things were rosy and perfect before now. Apt! no one can say it better . God bless you |

freeze001: If the change is to maintain the status quo then what's the point? Note that the previous government did not watch the economy nosedive to the pathetic level we're at now in the name of non-passage of budget. We were never inundated with incompetence in even presenting a coherent budget.
I don't even understand the reason for defending rubbish! What is bad is bad in its own right and not in comparison to another. Change is supposed to mean doing things in a different and better way. If you are going to rejoice over a bad situation then of what use is the change? if things aren't done differently you wont have heard about all the budget padding or are you telling me the budget padding started in this new administration? Because I will glady quote the head of appropriation committee who said " constituents"project was a norm in time past . we all know who to blame for the delay in budget passage and as such people ranting about budget passage like its the first time it has ever been passed in april should find another thing to cry about |

I had to put some facts right so as to stop some ignorant people from using the budget issue to score a cheap point. Gej was the vice president and eventually became the president before his term so the last administration was all about continuity. Below are the dates that budgets were passed in the last administration. 1 2011 budget was passed 17th of March www.nigerianeye.com/2011/03/senate-passes-2011-budget.html?m= 17th march 2011 2 2012 budget was passed 13th of april m.thenigerianvoice.com/news/87809/a-comparative-analysis-of-2012-fgn-budget.html budget passed 13/april 2012 3 2013 budget was passed in october 2012 (The only time the budget was passed early) www.vanguardngr.com/2012/10/jonathan-presents-2013-budget/ october 2012 4. 2014 budget was passed 24th of may www.premiumtimesng.com/business/161390-jonathan-signs-nigerias-2014-budget-defence-gets-20-per-cent.html may 2014 5 2015 budget was passed 25th of april leadership.ng/news/429220/senate-passes-n4-4trn-2015-budget ...april 25th 2015 From the above write up, why are the opposition wailing like it used to be better? My point is that what is worth doing should be done properly. How can a budget make provision for 100 percent completion of a project and nass cuts it by half? ( No wonder we have plenty abandon uncompleted government buildings , roads etc People that live in glass house dont throw stones Long live nairaland Long live Apc Long live Buhari Long live Nigeria. |

GreatSE: Keep quiet whats the economical value of this rail line..... with this rail line Major sea port in SS and SE is dead....they will have every excuse to tell you to import and export from Lagos, we know ur antics..... Northerners sell their food to Lagos, what do Lagos want from SS and SE, nothing but crude oil, then sell the finished product from Lagos Dangote refinery back to SE and SS when those old FG refineries have packed up...Rubbish common sense is very scarce in ur head. what is the economic value? Do you know the amount of jobs the project will create for locals in the communities the rail will pass through? do you know it automatically open up business opportunities for these communities (hotels, restaurants, tourist sites etc) It reduces road accident and gridlock along the expressway thereby reducing time wasted to buy goods ? i can keep counting but since ur brain is slow try and assimilate the few economic values i just listed |

themosthigh: This is an example of missplaced priority...why build a lagos to calabar rail when even 20% of that money can be used to build a world class port in calabar and port harcourt..who want to travel from lag to calabar on a train....or of what do you hope to bring into calabar from lagos that cannot be brought in through the sea. The yoruba oligarchy have decided to ensure that the south south never get a port so that people will not leave lagos and the innefectual buffon after 6yrs in power could not even build one port in his home region. The only way for igbos to leave lagos is to build a port in the south south, complete the onitsha inland port and all industries in lagos will move with it and lagos shall cease to be no mans land and go back to the binis or yorubas and it will join the degeneracy of the rest of the waste..
Rather than wait for manna from the fg do u know the governors of that zone can do a joint project and build the sea port? it will be an additional internally generated revenue source for them , but no they wont do that but rather cry of marginalisation |

LUKINGUY: On a contrary to some post here. Catfish Business is indeed a profitable business considering the following 1. Good and unlimited source of Water quality. 2. Your Young stocks. 3. Your pounds 4. Farm practice.
It's certain on no matter how much you invest with good farm practice you will earn 100% profit. Your initial capital cannot be considered as your initial investment because 60% goes into fixed capital. Your inital investment is your stock and feed cost. If you intend to stock 1000 fingerings you add 200pcs for mortality. Prompt change of water, feeding and souting can reduce mortality to the bearest minimum. If you think is not profitable so be it. We stock 20,000pcs + 2000 mortality and we harvest every 3 months. The business is good and worth investing. are u into melange? |
