Ladyjane5657: Wait lemme gist u pipo what happened to me yesterday:
Nnpc will not kii mi o... BTW, some of y'all crying and bemoaning ur fates, do u pipo want to fall the wall of this thread with ur cries? Pls wipe ur tears, life is just starting..
Have I told u people Shell, Total and ExxonMobil Mobil either rejected me after ist or second tests one time or another? I didn't feel it.. Even tho I felt for the huge mulla slipping tru my fingers that I could do nothing about... I know I would not have felt Nnpc too if not that the length of time it took the Apl to materialize made us unconsciously fall madly in love with them.. And letting go is giving mad feelings like a lover's. But we will be fine.
So back to my gist.
A friend from Malaysia ( no be boifren o , in case u wantu shoot ur shot , especially these latest Nnpc employees ) decided to take me out to console me for loss of Apl ... Umunnaa, na so I follow mi niqqur go ( ordinarily, I would have rejected the offer , I don't trust Malay people.. Them and stealing Kidneys are like 5 and 6 , but I obliged anyways, needed to get mi mind off that wickedt Apl )
Dats was how I was jejely eating my Nkwobi and shamelessly licking my fingers when Nnpc trucks ( fuel I guess) suddenly began passing by one after the other.. They were all together...6 or seven in number..
Do u people know that I didn't know that I had stopped eating and was staring at dem trucks... Tears dripping from ma brown powered face and ma nkwobi in one hand with flies battling to have a share.. I didn't know, until Oga sharply tapped my face with his handkerchief... Oga , abeg no clean ma make up o.. Just jeje clean my apl tears and console me small small... biko Oh! Nnpc!
Sweet nkwobi suddenly turned bitter.. I couldn't finish it.. Oga suggested we leave . yes , we will go.. Madam, abeg package the remainder for me..I know after I wipe my tears.. My nkwobi Wii start hungering me I cannot mourn for two tins consecutively... Pls package it biko.. Madam wrapped it..
I got home.. I tell u, in less than 2 mins.. I was already laffin like mad from watching " a million ways to die in the west" and licking the "takeaway * plate of my nkwobi .. . Nnpc completely forgotten..
Loms... In essence, I know it's painful for a lot of us.. Especially those who had genuinely wanted to effect lives positively tru Nnpc.. But I want to tell u.. U will be fine.. Don't let anything in the world take away ur joy. Tomorrow go better, I swear.
By the way... If u love writing and u are creative writer.. Pm me, so that I can share something to help u make some cool headed money... I just had a good laugh for a long time. I will pm you concerning the writing. Time to bring that part of me back to life. |

Even if it's just a little ray of hope.. Hold on to it.. Be persistent.. Be determined... Never give up on life.. Never give up on your dreams.. Life has taught me that.. You can still rewrite your story... Nnpc is not the only route to successful career.. Thanks for your kind words to him. I am facing the same dilemma. I am even older than him. Recently got knocked off in the interview stage of Sterling bank Job, I have attended several interviews too on the Island for months now and now NNPC. What disturbs me is the age factor. urchcherry: This the exact situation my dad got us into when we were small, my uncles even use to beat us and one day slapped my mum, to tell you how the house was a funji house of commotion , funny thing is my dad was the one that built the house and gave them one room each just like you narrated, my dad had to buy another land elsewhere immediately the boy's quarter was completed we rushed and packed in there till the main building was completed and till now the drama over there seems not to have an end but we are exempted sometimes any mess up there they come to my parents that is living far away to report the issues. I don't see those ur uncles as those that are ready to vacant if ur papa get the money he should forfeit there and build another for himself, those uncles can kill because of that so it's better he give them some distance. Exactly what I suggested. It is not easy but it is worth it |
Family › Re: How Can My Parents Evict My Troublesome Uncles? by donifez(m): 10:55am On Dec 05, 2019 |
Osa0: If you guys have excess funds get another land else where and build another house. Then sell the property in question about 6 months after packing out.
Lastly get very spiritual to combat any diabolic attacks. I am not sure they can sell out rightly if the house is in the Obi. Does not look right. |
Family › Re: How Can My Parents Evict My Troublesome Uncles? by donifez(m): 10:51am On Dec 05, 2019 |
AceOfRed: Lol. My dad is the first son and he built the house solely on his portion of his inheritance as first son. The ownership of the house is not in question. It's just that they do not want to leave, saying that they will take their time to build their own house, and that's only when they'll leave. Your Dad is the first son. That means he has a say. He should make them leave then but should be very careful. My Dad is their half brother and not the first son. That is where the scenario differs. But if he can build another house outside the Obi. That will help against future brouhaha. It's not easy, Land in my village now runs in millions of Naira. |
Family › Re: How Can My Parents Evict My Troublesome Uncles? by donifez(m): 10:49am On Dec 05, 2019 |
AceOfRed: Please I need legal or customary advice from experienced people.
My dad built a house in the early 80s; a 5 bedroom bungalow, that's before he got married. As at the time he completed the building, he was about to get married, while his 2 brothers were still single then. Because my dad was not based in my town, he gave all his 2 brothers 1 room each to stay in, as they were bachelors. My family occupies 3 rooms ensuite, while my uncles occupy the other two rooms, with a detached kitchen and toilet.
As time went on, they later got married, but still kept living in the single rooms. Now they have families, with my oldest cousin being in his 20s.
The problem is that the relationship between my dad and his brothers has deteriorated terribly over the past years to the extent that my uncle's and their wives now threaten my parents with murder and diabolical acts. In fact, I can't put on text the many issues that have arose between my parents and my uncles.
Now, my dad wants them to vacate his house but they bluntly refused saying that they will live there for as long as they wish. As the first son, he has divided their ancestral lands amongst them, but they have refused to put up there.
Their continued stay in that house has become a huge source of worry and headache to my parents. There is no day that one issue or the other doesn't come up.
My dad has reported them severally to the 'umunna', but this hasn't yielded any benefit. As members of the umunna are people of questionable judgement. They keep telling my dad to wait till my uncle's build their own house, but they are not even interested in building anything, as they have made it clear that they will live with my parents, just to be monitoring them. To be truthful to you. We are in the same dilemma, the same 5 bedrooms. What my Dad wants to do now is to build another house outside their Obi. I guess your Dad house is inside the Obi. But he won't tell them that he has left the house for them ooh. Just build another house for his safety. My Dad half brothers are highly diabolical and my Dad was advised by many people to take that route to avoid future brouhaha. |

Making thieves appear saintly is some people calling. Tinubu is rich before becoming Governor and so. Did he not steal while in Government and keeps stealing now? If you ask me my proof, as usual, I will say I don't have. But can you also swear in a shrine for him that he never stole from the Government?
The Bullion Van stuff is as bright as day. On the eve of the election. Are you so dumb? Just like Kogi 10bn that came 3 days before their Governorship election, was that simply not funds to win the election? Senator Abaribe said they should release the funds after the election, see the other Senators shouting no, cause it was obvious. Segalink said EFCC should investigate the Bullion Van stuff, they said he should write a petition, which Segalink did. Lo and behold they swept the matter to the dark. Magu was asked in an event about investigating Tinubu. He stylishly dodged that.
If you guys are ignorant, I am not. I stay woke. |
Family › Re: How Do I Understand/satisfy My Husband? by donifez(m): 4:18am On Nov 22, 2019 |
bukatyne: Your husband has lost what he hung his self-esteem on which is his ability to earn.
Like you said, he was born with a silver spoon so he is used to a lifestyle and feels like a failure. That also reflects in his 'I can't lower my standards' statement.
I however do not like his inconsiderate attitude. If he is not going to hold the fort, he should let you at least hire professional cleaning services.
Since you say he loves and cares for you, engage him as a lover. Keep aside his mom and pastor.
Point out to him that you can't keep up with the chores and ask him to point out his reservations with the live in/professional help so you can work around his concerns.
Also stop him for drinking. Remove all the alcoholic drinks from your home, constantly remind him of his achievements and encourage him that he can rise again. Be a little more tender with him, let your embraces provide warmth and hope.
Depending on the financial structure and resources, just send something to him regularly so he doesn't think of how to have an haircut because he is broke.
Also proactively assist in job hunting. Are his skills obsolete? Does he need updated certifications? Is his CV updated? Does he need to start from smaller jobs before growing?
Also be emotionally intelligent. When he agreed to something, it might not be from his 'church' mind. This is just the advice I wanted to give. Your husband is like me so I can relate. We have a similar mindset you have to assist him in job hunting. Update his CV, let him learn some new things, supply internet for him to do some courses online. Be passionate and use more of facial expressions than words when he objects to this. Sometimes drop hints of what he bought for you when he was working, don't overdo this part. It will enable home to maybe want to do more and get a job again. The last job broke him, he was dedicated but was set-up. For the chores. He does not want the House-help to know the state of things. He is also using them as a way to vent his anger. Pray earnestly and don't over-labour yourself. Engage in maybe that cleaning service, you will know when to broach the topic. The alcohol is a no-no. If he keeps up with it, he will drown more. The solace he seeks in it will make him not realize till things get late. |

I am a Frontend Developer and with what I have seen so far. They pay backend a bit better. Money should not be your primary focus though. Some Companies don't even know what they want, they will advertise for a Frontend Job, once you get there they will start asking you backend questions too. Why not just state that you need a Fullstack. |
