Lastly, African countries need to sit up and build their economies so as to gain respect internationally. If African countries were decent, many black people around the world whose ancestors were sold as slaves could easily return to their ancestral homes, but instead we have a very pitiable and sorrowful situation where the black people in their own homes already will still choose to go to a foreign land where he knows he will still face forms of derogatory subjugation because it is much better than where he lives. If a Chinese or a Jew feels maltreated in Europe or America, he can easily decide to return to China or Israel which are now very rich countries with a lot of opportunities. And who now possess influence globally. If African countries got their act together, things will change tremendously for all black men around the world. |
nihilistjnr:First of all, you are still making the same mistake i saw previously, you are still limiting the scope of racism to a regional issue or affair. You might solve racist issues in America but how will it affect the black people suffering racism in Russia or Eastern Europe or Argentina or Italy. We still have people throwing bananas at players in these countries. Secondly, I don't get what you mean when you say blacks have to "pull together". Blacks have already been pulling together for decades via activism and global awareness initiatives. Your entire argument is mired in sophistry and casuistry. That a very few black elements would digress from the already grounded activism does not diminish the impact of the movement. Talking about communities, blacks already have a lot of communities and neighbourhoods. Its very natural all over the world to see people who have become successful move out of the poor ghettos into rich surburbs as it reflects their status. The Jay-Z that you reference sure as hell doesn't still live in a black ghetto, he has moved up to his pent houses in billionaires row in New York or Atlanta. But that they have moved out of those neighborhoods doesn't mean that they totally abandon the ghetto, a lot of black celebrities like Tyler Perry and Oprah have consistently developed ghettos and lobbied for developments there. As I postulated previously, The only real permanent cure to racism is TIME. In the mean time, we have to continue to protest and fight for our right to LIFE and EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES for all. There are a lot of global awareness initiative programs that have had tremendous success, we have to encourage and continue those. For instance, FIFA's say no to racism global initiative. Gone are the days when black players couldn't earn the same wages as their white counterparts or use the same facilities or played in a stadium to a cascade of boos or derogatory sounds. These have been reduced to their barest minimum. |
OtemAtum:I asked you a question earlier which you dodged. What was your method of research in studying about the beginning of the universe and can you briefly outline what you believe is the origin of God or the universe? |
Ibime:Deiziani Allison was able to hide in London for years despite being known as a behemoth of corruption. It's no hidden knowledge that the British government has been shielding corrupt African politicians and actually participating in them. Just look at shell and and their actions in the country. Till date, Nigeria is the only country that is unable to get adequate compensation for the oil spill and environmental damage done in our lands by shell. |
nihilistjnr:@ the bolded, how exactly do we do that? What kind of system do you propose can be instituted? I ask these because we already have prominent black people who have been in powerful and influential positions already. Eg, Kofi Anan and Barack Obama. We already have powerful black judges and black Supreme Court justices, we already have numerous black billionaires and millions of black milloniares found in all continents. We have had black presidents too in racist South American countries. So with all these powerful and influential black people in place, what kind of system are you proposing that will defeat racism once and for all? You do understand that when I say systemic racism, I mean one that means racist men gain access to institutions already in place like the police, banks, courts, corporations etc and use these systems against black people either through killing them (racist police), sentencing black people unfairly compared to white (racist court and jury), denying them access to funds and opportunities available to their white counterparts (racist bank and corporations CEOs and decision makers) etc. So I ask again, what kind of system can be instituted to combat the system already in place? |
raumdeuter:All you are making is assumptions. I already stated that the line of questioning by the AA guy indicates that he is simply looking down on him because he is a security guy. All these other assumptions you're making about the security guy is just that, assumption. The fact is many of us might have also looked down on or sparred with many low level workers irrespective of their education or what not, the fact that you are a security guard or a cleaner will most likely attract forms of subtle degradation from an arrogant individual. The whole issue sef about the African American racism issue was even a derailment from their main problem which was that the guy was following him around and he didn't like it. |
raumdeuter:Yes, you have pointed out the fact that human beings always have forms of biases and hatred among themselves and that is true. However, no motivation for a bias or hatred towards another group is as widespread and global as racism. What you are doing by outlining other smaller problems of human society is that you are diminishing the effects and impact of racism. No other form of systemic hatred comes close to that of racism so you have to stop comparing racism with other smaller forms of humanity's bias towards each other. |
raumdeuter:No, there is a big difference. As I stated earlier, this is just pure arrogance. This arrogance I believe stems from simply being richer than the guy and perhaps better educated. You can deduce this by the line of questioning he threw at the guard; Where is your badge? Do you know what a badge or ID is? Do you know the name of your boss? Why are you following me? Many people here irrespective of tribe or country must have looked down on some very poor people at one point of our lives. Either by words or actions. I bet you that the arrogant guy would not behave like that towards a high class African or celebrity. But, a racist would still look down upon any black irrespective of class, wealth or status, I mean it's still peddled around that Michael Jackson, one of the world's greatest artist had to literally change his skin colour in order to escape the systemic racism. As I said, the motivation behind the arrogance of this fellow and that of a racist is extremely different. |
Greatihex:This issue is quite disturbing, it proves that foreign powers do aid and abate corrupt African government officials. I believe deiziani did this with the aid of the British government. It's no surprise that many of our corrupt officials seek solace in the UK once they are being hounded. |
[quote author=raumdeuter post=90357434]A40 What do you think about this exchange here video perfectly reflects the arrogance some have here that because you don't live in a particular place or not born there, you can't understand the issues affecting the place irrespective of how you learn about it. Same way that fool believes that he was superior to the guard simply because he was born there. It's obvious that what is at play here is a display of pure arrogance and feeling of mental superiority. |
Very brilliant write-up once again as expected from Michael. I just wish seun can see this and act upon it. |
Abbeybailey:I commend the unrelenting efforts and great strides you have been making to counter the trolls from the troll farm all these years on this thread. You have fought valiantly. However, try to tone down your constant abusive rhetoric, it distills the debate and narrows the conversation down to name-calling but most importantly turns off even those who support your views. In your bid to counter the troll catty, you end up insulting all Nigerians who have an opinion on American politics. Your debates need to be more thought-provoking than abuse infested. |
Kopfschmerzens:What's a barebacker? |
DCatt:Jesus Christ!! You are a demon! How can someone be this foolish There is no way you believe all these rubbish that you post here. There is no doubt that you are a paid troll from an IT information farm. I have observed that all your posts have an average of 5 likes. This is mostly because you own more than 6 accounts that we know of; qstorm, wowcatty, dcatt, garets etc. You log on your different profiles and like your own posts ![]() I just hope you are paid enough for this disinformation campaign you have actively engaged in. |
OtemAtum:How did you come to such a conclusion and most importantly can you summarize what you believe is the origin of God or the universe? |

Larride I just came across this thread on frontpage. https://www.nairaland.com/5904688/nigeria-may-lose-24-local#90326691 If the UN is able to create a new country in Africa that is carved out of Nigeria, then why couldn't they listen to the cases for biafran secession or oduduwa agitation and enforce same? Cc blueraydick, Ibime, etc. |
Hehe ![]() So if I am understanding the matter wey we no know who go solve; ![]() Four of our brothers stand accused of forming a gang to bring down this "earth shaker " called coogar. The gang is comprised of Ibime our fenibeso worshipping brother based in UK, Airmark, our crack pushing brother based in Houston and nihilist, our dick_pic sending and pussy_ grabbing brother based in UK. Our brother nihilist has pleaded guilty to the lovable and caring act of sending his dick pic to a stranger. On the other hand, we are learning that the "earth mover" had his own gang at west end unleashed on Ibime and nihilist which prompted their immediate reclusion from the case. We await the responses of the others accused. Abeg na joke ooo. ![]() |
This Chelsea thread na something else ![]() |
VargasVee:If you still don't get my point, fine. Just don't come back later complaining about chelsea not using our talented youths. It's not even as if the Werner is already fully established, yes he has shown strong potential to be a very good striker in the last 2 years but statistically speaking Tammy is not far off, funny enough neither is batshuayi. Werner has 88 senior career goals in 217 apps according to wiki. Tammy has 66 goals in 137 apps and batshuayi has 86 in 240 apps. You can see that Tammy even has a better goal ratio than Werner at zero the cost. I'm just stating my preference as of NOW for us to continue with our youths. People easily get carried away once any new signing is expected or announced and unfortunately we have the track record of having signed soo many players that flopped despite the elated joy that welcomed their arrival. These days i am cautious about being led by my emotions, simple. |
nateevs:Nice to have you back mehn. As per the pro-youth issue; it's that time of the year where everybody is salivating at the prospect of a new player but will still later turn back and complain about lack of youth in the line up. Normal normal my man. I've forgotten, is it UK or America you are based in? |
nateevs:Nateevs my man! Which kain resurrection be this one. I been think say coro don carry my Chelsea brother oo. ![]() Abeg wetin cause your hibernation? You've been missed bro. |
VargasVee:My guy, the truth is that many at times many fans are caught in a dilemma or conundrum and don't know what exactly they want. For many years, Chelsea have experienced successful seasons followed by steep disaster spells while having the best youth in the country and many fans here and globally have consistently called for our fine youths to be used. It has been a constant dilemma for fans, What you are feeling right now is exactly how most fans feel whenever a new signing is expected or made. That heightened optimism that the new player would offer the team a new dimension and take the club to new heights of glory but in that euphoria we miss asking ourselves the negative costs of those signings. Afterall, the way we are feeling now is exactly the same way we felt when we signed 40m bakayoko or 70m Morata or 30m batshuayi or 35m Barkley or 25m zappacosta or 40m drinkwater or 20m djibolodi and many more. When these signings are made, despite the euphoric feeling, a few perceptive fans point out that we have capable fine young players that can get the job done, what they need is a constant run in the team. Finally, The club decided to change its modus operandi and listen to fan pleas and go for stability. To build an identity with home grown players and a legend as a coach with promise of sufficient time given to the project. Talking about Tammy buckling up, the fact is, he is going to be disadvantaged irrespective of how you look at it because with that price tag being paid at this particular period, the club will do all it can to ensure the player is given as much time as possible to succeed and will most likely jettison Tammy to a second role. Werner automatically moves above Tammy in the pecking order courtesy of that price tag. Forgive me but I am not really caught up in this moment right now because we have seen this too many times before. My hope and prayer is that if we do sign Werner, he goes on to become a fine and wonderful striker for us and not turn up like other strikers we've had. |
VargasVee:I am just hoping that the club will not lose sight of the project that it has started with Lampard. The fact is that Werner's signing threatens Tammy's place in the squad. No way a 50m player will be kept on the bench. I'm just saying that the club shouldn't go on a spending spree that will cost our young players already playing. For years we have been clamouring for our youths to be involved seeing as we had the best, for the first time, it is happening, I just hope we consolidate the trend started and not derail it. |
Godx:It was supposed to be from our academy. We have had the best youth in the country for years and many had hoped this season will be the break out season for our youths. We can't begin to break the trend Lampard has started. |
pamcode:Tammy has displayed a strong potential. I believed that he would grow from strength to strength with more game time but the purchase of Werner if the rumours are true presents a huge obstacle for Tammy's improvement because he would obviously be stuck on the bench for the new expensive signing. |

homesteady:In this case you can't leave out the messenger, the seankafor guy dey Shalaye too much. One person will vociferously defend yahoo yahoo, will then proceed to underrate the dangers of cultism and then go further to be a rape apologist. afrodoc2:I just had to go back to this ![]() Trump holding the bible was really a funny sight to behold. more humorous though was seeing people on the American politics section defend the photo op and call trump THE MOST PRAYERFUL POLITICIAN in Washington ![]() Trump, the pussy_grabber. the man who cheated on his 2 exwives and divorced twice will hold a Bible that he hasn't read a page on and people will actually believe he is religious How gullible and stupid can these Americans be doc ![]() |
Neeezar:I'm quite surprised about the length of your ban too. The plausible explanation might be who is enforcing the ban. the day me and Dayo sparred, spam bot banned me for only 12 hours. I believe the anti-spam bots give lesser time than mods. Not sure though. |
