myself and nihilist share a nasty history on this platform, so it's no surprise when I see him jump in quickly to castigate me at any given opportunity, irrespective of the validity of my stance.

nihilist, I have been very consistent on this board in my appeal for patience, don't twist or misinterpret my messages and stance.

donjazet:
I share that hope with you that things turn out fine for us, that we win trophies while playing beautiful football with our brilliant young boys who can carry us on that winning platform for a decade, however while we hope for this, there is no problem in advocating for caution.

Failure is always a possibility, especially now, with all the odds stacked against us, it will be a miracle for us to succeed immediately, so once again there is no fault in advocating for patience and caution. People are already beginning to think we can win the league, that's a very low possibility right now.
I don't know why he would call it a "negative energy", we must try to distinguish emotion from reality.
donjazet:
I'm looking forward to our matches against the top teams during the festive period, those results I believe will determine our fate this season and give an accurate view of the team's overall growth.

My greatest joy this season however has been the faltering of our opponents this season, man-u and Tottenham are not looking like top 4 teams at the moment and that plays fully to our advantage.
So far as they continue in their misery, we have no problem so Long may it continue.
donjazet:
I'm sorry if my cautious optimism or objectivity seems like a "negative energy" to you but as an old Chelsea fan, I'm tired of the constant cycle of fire and hire system at Chelsea.
This is not the first time a new manager starts relatively well and everybody is happy only for a slump to begin and we succumb to pressure by sacking him.

Although this time feels different, with our legend as a coach and an exciting group of our young players, one is enamoured with what he sees and tempted to begin to dream big. But with our numerous past experiences you never can tell what happens when we hit a rough patch.
Chelsea's board has always been unpredictable. So forgive me for not basking in the euphoria of the moment like you. I'm just being cautiously optimistic.
donjazet:
We seem to all forget something very important here.

We're just 2 games into Lampard's tenure and the two opponents we have faced are teams who played very open games, teams who did not just sit back, soak up pressure and hit on the counter, these were big teams who came out to attack there by giving our attackers spaces to run into.

Cast your minds back to previous seasons, we started very well under Sarri, I remember when we played arsenal at home, how everyone raved about the potentials of greatness and bright future the team had. We even went on a decent run of wins.

Our problems appeared when we encountered teams who simply sat back leaving no space behind for attackers to run into.

Don't also forget that AVB'S tenure and scholari's tenure were off to a flying start before the implosions.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have good expectations, but if history is a good indicator, we MUST be cautiously optimistic, and remember that this team has a lot of limitations and inhibitions.

Lampard is fairly new to management, his experience as a manager is very low, before Guardiola, zidane or OGS took reins at their clubs, they already had managerial experiences at various levels. Our defense is as porous and inexperienced as ever.

We have to be cautious in our expectations, only time will tell.

This is a dubious angle to come from - We all know what you mean by 'I told you so'

This has ALWAYS been your angle:

Your focus has always been than Lampard is a worse manager than Sarri - That's the 'I told you so'. That's why you're always keen to say you warned us.

Otherwise what else are you warning us about? Our poor attackers? Our wack defenders? Our mumu keeper? Or has there been anybody here that claimed we have to personnel to contest for a title.

The only thing most of us have been optimistic about, is the pattern of play under Lamps....and it irks you because you want to remind us about how great Sarri was
You misyarn abjectly when you say that has ALWAYS been my point.

I pointed out previously that coaches like kloop, pochetino and sarri are coaches who needed time to fully implement their pattern and strategy, and I still stand on the fact that sarri's input in his one year here helped Lampard in getting those initial results.

I DIDN'T BASH LAMPARD. I just didn't subscribe to the notion that we needed to downgrade a former manager to uplift the new one. I like them both and stated that clearly.
You obviously didn't grasp my point clearly all these while.

Many people were carried away when we were winning and I tried telling them to tamper their optimism because we had seen this so many times. I advocated for patience till after the festive fixtures before knowing the state of the team.

Your follies have been pointed out many times. You blamed Lampard for not using Giroud ahead of Tammy. The same Giroud that made us lose at home against West ham. Only a foolish Chelsea fan like you will prefer Giroud to Tammy. Only a foolish fan like you would blame Lampard and leave Giroud after losing that West ham match. Only a foolish fan will blame Lampard alone for yesterday's loss.
WTF are you on abouthuh You keep rambling on without meaning? I don't know where you saw me blame Lampard for yesterdays loss. I have been solidly behind Lampard for eons because I understand his situation for this season. I am extremely patient with him unlike you that doesn't know where to stand as usual, today you are drumming support for him, tomorrow, you are laying curses on him.
You keep going around in circles, not knowing when or where to stop. Please start using your brain intuitively.

Egbon digz, of course everybody looked upon Lampard's appointment with much skepticism but that seem to vanish when we went on that winning run. In the thick of it, people started setting ambitions for the team because of how well we played and the results accrued, you must have seen earlier the guy who began asking about our league winning chances.
These are the notions I try to realign And was seen as a "negative force" for that period of time.

What did he tell us exactly?

Let's be real, Lampard tactics though dubious, did not cost us that match

Is this what we were warned about? Is Lampard really to blame for incompetent staff and referees? Are we suppose to curb our enthusiasm simply because the bloodclaart ref no know ball? angry
Are you meaning to tell me that all our losses this season is down to the refs inefficiency and ineptitude?? Common, that's being plain disingenuous.
The team has been very inconsistent this season.

We are not supposed to expect anything tangible from the team this season, we should actually hope for the best but expect the worse.

The only idiot apart from lordfalcao on Chelsea thread, is you.
I remember sometimes in November before Lampard started Giroud in a match, you were here criticising Tammy, saying Giroud was a better striker and Lampard should prefer him. Everybody attacked your foolish thought.
Lampard started your Giroud against West ham at Stamford bridge, he missed 3 good chances and we lost. Instead of you dolt to blame Giriud, you cane to town with your filthy fingers and stinking mouth to blame Lampard and told people here about your initial thoughts on Lampard.
You troglodyte is here again to bare your fang as usual.
The insanity in you cant be cured, even if you live the rest of your life in Aro neuropsychiatric hospital.
As usual, another incoherent load of trash from you, not surprised at all.

In order to defend your indefensible craps, you highlighted my former post where I suggested that Lampard gives Giroud better playing time and drop Kepa for being poor. As of the time of that post, Tammy was on a mini drought, he was one of the first to get to 10 goals but stuck there for other peeps to catch up while Kepa kept conceding goal left and right and I logically counseled for a shake up to improve the situation but to you that makes no sense?

Why am I surprised? You seem to have created a world for yourself, one were sound reasoning and logic sounds idiotic and idiotic sounds reasonable, you are indeed a unique individual, one who has a uniqueness of being absolutely stupid while appearing normal.
Take time off and do a little reevaluation of yourself.

If he had kept to that, no one will question him. He had a sort of 'I told you so' mentality that pissed people off. Like he was always waiting for us to draw or lose so he will say I told you so. There is no need for that.
My friend, stop yarning what you don't know or understand. Clearly, you didn't follow this issue from its onset.

While many were drunk in ecstasy while we were winning the small teams, I committed a crime of going against the herd mentality rampant here, I called for caution in our optimism, I had to remind them of the current weaknesses in the club, some even thought we were in a title race.
I also pointed Chelsea's famed history of going on good winning runs like this before a huge slump, but all my logical dispositions were foolishly seen by airmark and his cohorts as me being negative.

Time and over again, airmark has proven to be foolhardy. He's foolishly impetuous a lot of times and rarely analyses football intelligently except on the odd occasion hence why he is constantly the object of ridicule and it is mind boggling how this individual maintains a following despite his erratic thought processes.

Ehh, See me see wahala cheesy cheesy

To juxtapose, is to compare and contrast two things.

Maybe using the word conundrum might have better qualified my intent but then the word itself doesn't do a bad job of that.

On one hand, we Chelsea fans are happy about the ban because of the fact that it benefits our club in terms of UCL qualifications but some of us are also sad because this also reinforces FFP's potency.
This ruling means that we can no longer rely on Abrahomovic's money to bankroll us.
Anyways, I do realize I used a verb instead of an adjective. cheesy tongue tongue
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by donjazet(m): 5:44pm On Feb 17, 2020
Mancity's sins have finally caught up with them. I always wondered how anyone would justify a team like mancity, that has no reputable fanbase of note being the second highest earners in the league. Earning more that 500m every season above Liverpool, Chelsea and arsenal.

A lot of people are happy about this because nobody likes a cheat or fraud winning. It's difficult to justify your victory.

On the other hand, we Chelsea fans are really juxtaposed about this. Should we really be happy about Mancity's predicament when we did the exact same thing? Chelsea and Abrahomovic excessive spendings were one of the foremost reasons FFP was instituted.
The millions our owner poured into the club transformed the club into an elite club overnight, so should we really be
angry when someone else does it?

I can understand the fury of the other top teams fan in England, teams that spent a lot of years accruing their current prestige and financial strength but are we the Chelsea fans supposed to be jubilating about this? Anyways, My happiness about this is that it places pap in an unusual position, one where it would be intriguing to see how he navigates this.

These loses and draws Don bother me, because I know the expectation I had for the club this season. Fortunately, the club is currently exceeding such expectation.
My only anger is that we missed out on the super cup and are about to miss out on the other cups.
But, If we can focus all our attention on the fa Cup and win it, I will take it as a huge success this season.
A very sensible comment.
People are disappointed right now because they continue to woefully set expectations and ambitions for this team this season and I blame this on the good winning run this team had earlier.

Lest people have forgotten, prior to this season commencing, we were severely handicapped.

We brought the least experienced manager in the league, we lost our key players and we were placed on a transfer ban.

We knew that this season was going to be purely experimental. We knew that it could swing anywhere, we knew that it would be very difficult for us to qualify for champions league.

The club stated earlier that it wants to depart from the hire and fire model. That we needed to have stability in our managerial position and that's why Lampard was hired. Nobody expects Lampard to come good THIS season. The core objective this season was to establish his own attacking philosophy and also establish our youth to become key players integrated into the first team.
While he is still wobbling through the first objective, he has succeeded fairly on the second.

We knew winning any trophy will be a miracle so why are we disappointed?
Need I remind you that kloop had a bad first season, he finished 8th, Guardiola too had a sub-par first season, Ferguson and wenger too had very abysmal starts.

Success is mostly cultivated over time. I believe that we must wait until next season before we can start hoping on Lampard and his team to become elite again.

They are trying to reach out to the LGBT community, the part that annoys me is that it's now incorporated into almost every TV series, and 90 percent of the time it is totally uncalled for, it doesn't even help to guide the trajectory of the plot, its just there to say " Hey, we the producers recognise you and are okay with what you do, please watch our show".

Personally as a Christian, I find it offensive but there's nothing I can do, so I just skip ten seconds forward and keep skipping until I pass the scene.
I believe at this point, one can't be surprised by the gay scenes in American entertainment however this particular lesbian affair had no bearing on the plot of the series. That's my bone of contention.

Very wonderful law series and a nice suspense-filled thriller.

but I think the writers messed up Analise's character by making her a lesbian. There was really no point to this, I can maybe understand Connor and Oliver's romance story arc. But Analise being a lesbian was totally inconsequential to her story arch thus being totally unwarranted.
