The smouldering disillusionment felt by many Nigerians is not because their candidate didn't win but because the elections they had dared to trust was in the end so UNFORGIVENLY and UNACCEPTABLY flawed. Adichie Chimamanda |
Amoto94:You and this your perennial mis-prognostications. I guess to you, "sound conviction" is blowing up "unbelievers" who don't subscribe to your religion, gassing up a different tribe from yours, murdering your own sister in the name of honor killing, because she goes to the market with her exposed beautiful hair. And worshipping a child fvcker who molested a 9 year old girl and enabled a nascent culture of pedophilia across the globe. I'm sure these are the definition of "sound conviction" to you. |
A001:I have shared this video numerously. I even posted it on my diary if memory serves me right. This video comprehensively and summarily explains the psychology of religion. This YouTube channel personally played a role in my move away from religion. It let's one see the foolishness of pigeonholing one's self to a particular religion and arrogantly arrogating one's religion as the best and the "correct" one. |
OasisX:Just prepare for thunder any day you go tell that lie again. You go explain how exactly I wish Obi death? |
Useless fool that garnishes and offers himself to a useful idiot. Sacrificing all principles in the alter of partisanship and tribalism. The author's name reads akindele. That tells you all you need to know. Tribalism is a disease. |
Like seriously, think about this. There is no policy criticism of Obi from me, no personal insult whatsoever. No pattern whatsoever of me ever criticizing Obi. The only thread that can be pulled is one where I'm very clearly joking about him. A statement made in humour, lol and emoji. I really fvxked up letting this agenda fly. |
Na me fuck_up sha. I purposely avoided engaging in any argument about this "donj wished Obi dead" and that agenda has now become fact. I made a single statement. Like, A SINGLE LINE SENTENCE! It read; "lol, I wish Obi is there, front seat sef" followed by laughing emojis, clearly depicting that it's a statement made in humour. The only sentence in my decade of existence on this platform that can be ever be mildly perceived as anti-obi. important to also note, Mind you, there was no plane crash yet when I made that statement. No genuine reason to actually believe that anyplane would crash. But somehow that single statement has been heavily garnished and spiced with pepper, salt, maggi, ginger and time to make it look like I really really hated Obi and wanted him dead. Better thunder go fire the next person wey go talk that rubbish. I mean the worst this can be even be compared to is when one jokingly threatens a loved one. I remember when my sister is frustrating me with annoying playful acts that one isn't in the mood for and I yell, "you this girl, I would kill you today", but there is absolutely no way any meaning can be ready into that. What I'm saying I guess is that I could have indeed liked Obi then or even be indifferent to him and for some reason that day, I make this light hearted jest, but people with agenda now dig it up to make up a point. Again, sango and amadioha strike person wey go talk that rubbish again. Donjazet wished Obi a terrible, painful and malevolent death, HOW?? |
"I will appoint men of higher wisdom". Meanwhile the "higher wisdom" are simply recycled political garbages that have been active in politics throughout the last decade and have a hand in effectively bankrupting this country. ![]()

OasisX:Yes, donkeys like donj who refuse to believe the rigged results called out in rivers, imo, ebonyi, benue and soo many other places. If you have decided to be plain hearted evil with your chest, don't rope others in. Our eyes are on the judiciary to see how inec defends the results it declared in rivers state and other states. |
OasisX:Imagine reading this nonsense and still believing it, even now. ![]() "Higher wisdom", yet he's surrounded like crooks like wike, fayemi, uzodinma, abdullahi and the rest of the Evil leaders that all have a hand in how terrible this country has become. Keep deceiving yourself. |
Let's not forget that at the beginning of this thread, hoesis dedicated copious amount of time to white washing this buhari government. Constantly posting "positives" and pictures of the "successes" of this wicked administration until it was revealed where he himself had cried out previously against this same government.. Hoesis has said repeatedly that "he genuinely wants what's best for nigeria" but everyday we see him celebrate one corrupt politician after another. So far as anyone is allied to APC, that person is surely the best for the country. Such a foolish and hypocritical being! |
APC supporters hated every single thing the PDP did. The same supporters who have suddenly become government sympathizers were the same people who could see nothing good in PDP and cried for change. So I'm asking the government apologists now, WHAT CHANGED?? How did you go from constantly criticizing the government (which is a good and necessary thing to do) to becoming an apologist for one of the worst set of leaders ever to rule a country? |
I was shocked seeing this video from London. This truly proves that the UK has become the most open society in the modern world.. I don't know of any other country that would have this high degree of tolerance.
|
Unlimited22:Thanks for the initial compliment, I guess. Can you point out an opinion of mine which you think was absolutely wrong. Mind you, I wasn't necessarily "wrong" on abrhamovic, I was just too harsh on him without leaving any room for compromise which is what perhaps can be interpreted as "wrong". But no one can point out something blatantly wrong about my opinion of him. So apart from this, do you see any other opinion as wrong? |
GloriousGbola:You guys do understand that these examples you're actually listing is the very same things feminists are fighting against. How are you guys not seeing this? Feminists are saying that people shouldn't be discriminated against by virtue of sex. I don't know how true this story of sending only girls to school and leaving the boys is. What I do know is that boys themselves preferred to trade than go to school. As in, it was their CHOICE. But we're saying the same thing. It's very wrong for your uncle to have decided to give your sister the tab while not giving you because you're a male. It's Also very wrong to send a girl to school while not sending the boy to school. 2 wrongs don't make a right. And the fact that indeed these things did happen doesn't still rule out the fact that women are systematically disadvantaged in our society. I mean, we live in a country where more than half (100 million) people believe that a woman should never shake a man who isn't her husband. That's still our society. We live in a society where a woman needs approval from family members for her choice of husband. |
Unlimited22:You have been pulling narratives out of the ass and running with it. Isn't it equality of opportunities we've been talking about since?? Since yesterday, you guys have been dunking on feminists as though feminism is a bad thing and today you're voicing out support for the exact same things feminists have been talking about. |
raumdeuter:Wait oo, why do people always think that marriage is an ultimate achievement?? We have prosperous women like cher, Oprah Winfrey, Genevieve nnaji, Nicki Minaj, dolly parton and many others who are\were very successful in life but didn't get married or have children, do you that made their lives any worth less?? Why is a woman judged by her marriage status?? Or capacity for child bearing? Well, that right there is the patriarchal society being spoke of that feminists want to dismantle. There are soo many successful men out there who didn't get married but might have had many children with different women but not commiting to any, people hail them and look at it as normal but frown on unmarried women, why? |
GloriousGbola:But you just used your hands to prove those. Yesterday, you displayed the hallmarks of misogyny. You supporting a undemocratic political godfather that has captured the entire political structure of a state and made himself stinkingly rich via corrupt-laden and embezzled public funds is what?? You cannot boldly support an undemocratic character like tinubu and call yourself Democratic. Do you know the meaning of that word? |
Itsrm:Nope, not our kind of "liberal" that basically entails entertaining people of different faith unlike other Muslims who share more extreme views and attitudes towards people of different faith. No I'm saying, Muslims who are liberal in their worldviews, pro-abortion, supports gay rights and most importantly believes in women rights and equality of genders. These are the hallmarks of liberalism. A departure from the former traditional way of life. |
Amigoss:If APC succeeds in maintaining national leadership, this country has no hope. It will simply be the same politics of elite hobnobbing and a politics for the elite class with their "games" while the common man suffers. Millions of youths foresaw this and decided to build a political movement from scratch and form a powerful voting block but unfortunately the establishment fought back strongly and many sellouts of the youths decided to betray their country simply because of tribal and religious affiliation. They couldn't overcome the overwhelming temptation of "candidate familiarity". "He is our person", that's all that matters, we'll vote for him. They voted to continue with shettima, Ahmed lawan, abdullahi, oshoimole. All, old class politicians deeply engrained and entrenched within the corrupt political order. It's time to start ensuring one leaves the country as soon as possible. With the APC in power, Nigeria has no hope whatsoever. |
akwesenana:Homosexual behaviors is a quite common practice amongst militaries around the globe. Or infact any environment that is heavily predominant male occupied. Which is why there is a common belief that homosexuality "might" be a learned behavior. (Just as heterosexuality might also be a naturally learned behavior). The science is still very unclear. |
Eunoiaa:Insults aside, gloriousgbola is certainly the most complex character I've seen here. A Muslim liberal (extremely rare to see) who supports an undemocratic candidate in his own country while being misogynistic. Can't wrap my head around his ethos. |
Melvyn11:I laughed a bit at this post because there is a hint of irony here. How about, instead of "the man" being stable financially, we talk about BOTH partners being financially stable before marriage? Because that statement indeed plays into the double standard that people use to dub thr feminist movement as hypocritical. Because there you can see that just the man is expected to primarily shoulder the financial burden of the family when ideally both should play a financial role, both the man and the woman. Isn't that the goal of feminism? |
BlueRayDick:I think the main lesson here is not really this "heart and head talk" but for all ladies to actually try and be financially independent, don't you think so?? That girl wouldn't have that rabid sense of entitlement if she herself was earning money and understand the value of money. So the lesson here is for ladies to strive just as hard as men to be financially independent. |
My only question for the original poster is this; If the man is allowed to have a side chic and sleep outside the marriage, is the woman also given that same free roam? Because what you've outlined here seems to be one-sided and caused by financial patrimony. I hope all women reading this understand that they must strive to be financially independent, don't let yourself or your source of money be from any man even your husband. Love and cherish any man you have, be obidient and respectful to him but make sure you are earning in your own right. Find something legit that pays you. |
seankafor:Sorry to ask this but do you have a mother? Or a sister? Or do you value them in any way? Because the way you speak about women shows that there's a psychopathological issue at play here. Because no one who has good women around him will sound this way. I mean, do you see your mother as a vessel "only good for sex"? Do you see your mother as someone with a "rotten smelly pussyy" ? Do you see your sister as " disgusting"? Please note that I'm not insulting them, I'm using your own words verbatim in how you describe women. And to think that this is a kindergartner fraudster who has ever seen at least 10 million naira but thinks somehow he's a lord over women. ![]() And I recall your sorry physical stature which many average women can easily panel beat if you say such nonsenses to them in person and not just on a keyboard in your lonely solitary confinement offline. I'm indeed sorry but I really do hate bullies or injustice and while others may feel comfortable liking and sharing horrible posts like these that achieve nothing but hate, I think it's important someone stands up against such narratives. It has no place in our world. |
raumdeuter:Another unfair target at feminism. Did this lady tell you she is a feminist? Because last I checked feminist don't think this way. Ladies like this with this sense of rabid entitlement definitely do not subscribe to feminist ideologies so why rope them in together? |
If only we could manage our resources adequately.
|
Nigeria my nigeria!!
|
A001:Let's not lose sight of the main premise of this argument. Feminism. And feminism has to do with the roles and values of a woman in society in comparison to their male counterparts. Feminism arose in response to the historical and unfair subjugation of the female to the male almost throughout history. Feminism sought to bring equality and equity to both genders. Is there any part of this you don't agree with? And for the record, the bible actually has female prophets and other prominent women of strength, Hannah, Deborah, Miriam, Esther etc. |
America has the highest rate of female participation in political leadership in the entire world. Presidents are few and far between so the odds are much lower for female leadership in comparison to the rise of female participation in political leadership. A generation gets to see maybe 6 or 7 presidents in their entire lifetime. So it's understandable why they haven't got one yet even though they were very close. Dayo the master of false equivalences. |
