He wiggled, jiggled and even dropped his trousers, but a thief trying to break into a supermarket in Portugal stayed stuck fast in a tiny window until he was rescued by police and the fire brigade.
"Apparently he dropped his trousers as he was trying to free himself by wiggling," Capt. Santos, local police chief in Loule in southern Portugal, told Reuters Monday.
He said the slim 22-year-old Romanian man had spent about 11 hours stuck in the window, including the two hours it took police and the fire brigade to get him out Sunday morning.
"Once he got his upper body inside, there was nothing there to find support on, so he was stuck at his waist, It's not uncommon for thieves to get inside and then not be able to get out after a burglary, but this was quite unusual," Santos said.

And while musicians Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale may have known Zuma meant "peace" in Arabic when choosing their son's name, they may not have been aware it also translates as "Lord frowns in anger" in the Aztec language of Nahuatl.
Some unusual celebrity baby name choices are beyond easy translation however, the company admits, such as Jermajesty -- the son of Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine.

A London-based translation firm is offering parents-to-be the chance to check the meaning of prospective baby names in other languages to avoid inadvertently causing their offspring future embarrassment.
Celebrity couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes might have thought twice about naming their daughter Suri if they'd known that it means "pickpocket" in Japanese, "turned sour" in French, and "horse mackerels" in Italian, suggest Today Translations.
For 1,000 pounds ($1,678), the company's linguists will carry out a "basic name translation audit" of names, checking their meaning in 100 languages, or more for an additional cost.
While open to everyone, the firm said it expects the service is likely to attract celebrity clients, who are known for giving their babies unusual names.
Other celebrity baby names it has checked include Kai Rooney, the newborn son of English soccer player Wayne Rooney, whose name means "probably" in Finnish, "pier" in Estonian, and "stop it" in the west African language of Yoruba.

No use reasoning with cretins, who cant see the big picture!
Anyway, lets takle corruption from the local level & strive to be honest in everything we do!
We should also get involved in local politics, or at least monitor what our local politicians are doing with our money! For example, does the refuse collector come every week?
What about abandoned construction projects in your community (road, drainage etc) ?

Lets stand up for our right, rather than wimpering or trading insults & blame! While our politicians steal us blind

WICHITA, Kan. - A man and woman who reported to police that robbers stole their marijuana are now facing charges themselves. The 32-year-old man and 29-year-old woman told police five armed men came to their Wichita apartment late Monday night and took marijuana.
Police said one suspect accidentally fired his gun and spooked the other suspects. They ran from the apartment to a white Cadillac, dropping marijuana along the way.
Police found more marijuana inside the apartment.
The couple were booked on suspicion of various drug charges, including selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.

FashionObama In A Grass Skirt? by donjon(op): 4:17pm On Nov 20, 2009
Barack Obama invited fellow leaders in the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation to a summit in Hawaii in 2011, but may have alarmed them with the dress code.
The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, which concluded on Sunday in Singapore, is an annual meeting best known for a tradition whereby presidents and prime ministers don outfits that are typical of the host country.
"I look forward to seeing you all decked out in flowered shirts and grass skirts, because today I'm announcing that we are bringing this forum to my home state of Hawaii in 2011," Obama told his assembled counterparts on Sunday.
At APEC's first summit, held in Seattle in 1993, heads of state sported leather bomber jackets. Other outfits have included traditional Korean and Vietnamese tops, batik shirts and an Australian outback coat. On Saturday night, Obama and his counterparts were resplendent in blue, green, or cranberry-red linen shirts with Mandarin collars, symbolic of Singapore's early Chinese settlers who assimilated into malay culture

PoliticsRe: This Is For All Cyber Cowards! by donjon(op): 8:58pm On Nov 18, 2009
Dont get me wrong!
All dat am saying is, we all know the problems of Nigeria. The next thing is to start solving those problems, instead of complaining about it!
In other words, stop flogging a dead horse!
Nigeria is made up of Nigerians, until we accept the fact that we are the cause of our problems; nigeria will remain in itz sorry state!
