OtemSapien: That's false allegation. You are actually blind, so you think everybody is as blind as you are
Go over your arguments and see that you aren't thinking straight. The money of the poor cannot do much in the Kingdom. It will bless them alright if they give cos they'll get a harvest, but all their giving will amount to little.
OtemSapien: I mean this particular amount he is talking about with evidence.
He can give it where ever he wants. After all, he didn't need your advice to do all the giving he has been doing all these years.
E.g.. 1.Giving 1billion.naira to Benson Idahosa University.
2. Building state of the art lecture theater at his alma mater AAU and provision of street lights and reading lamps for all hostel students.
3. Yearly promoting leadership among African youth through the Future Africa Laders Awards (FALA) which comes with a minimum of $10,000 per awardee (which number up to 16 yearly) plus support and mentorship.
And many more too numerous to mention. So please rebuke that spirit of freeze from your life... It is a spirit of poverty and destruction.
OtemSapien: If he can take the money to the orphanage, then I will take him serious. Paying it as tithe and offering in your church will only tantamount to giving it to yourself.
Turbocharged: First of all, Madam, I don't want to compare one pastor's work with another because I am not the one that called them. Secondly, CSR is not restricted to repairing roads for his village people. But let quickly remind you that I have seen his churches commission a lot of projects that will benefit peoples during those their October 1st programs. I also in from hear when he donated a lecture block to Ambrose Alli University, and a 1 billion Naira donation to Benson Idahosa University to build an Engineering Department. I wonder if those ones are not Corporate Social Responsibility? If they are not, please tell me what they are. Lastly, the same bible that said "let your light so shine..." also said "remove the log of wood in your eyes first, before seeking to remove the speckin another's".
It wasn't a lecture block o.. It was a state of the art lecture theater fully finished with air conditioners and generator. News was all over the internet.
Gudlite: I hate when people abuse men of God that God Himself lifted up.You don't know what this man has sacrificed to get to where he is today.Besides he has genuine source of income as author of thousands of books that are sold world wide both hard and soft copies. Please watch your words before you attract the wrath of God.
Funny enough he doesn't even get a dime from any book or audiovisual sale.
There are directors in charge of these ministries who are fully in charge. We're talking about someone who stopped collecting salary in the nineties.
There are several senior pastors in the ministry who like him have stopped receiving salaries. They put to work this sowing and reaping principle.
He is the Spiritual head of CE and oversees all but he isn't the administrative head.
Marahoth: Im not a church or religious person...but Do you know what Chris has done in this nation CSR-wise? Please always carry out extensive research before conclusions..
Marahoth: Dear friend, the universe is beyond our personal sovereignty...that means u n i cant stop the innocent guy about to be shot somewhere right now. we(mankind) are wicked beings and we need this loving great God. I too did think and once askd deep questions... When u read the news of a 9yr old raped by a 32 yr old n her genitals destroyed...when you see how we shoot one another, steal, kill, lie on each other, you want to weep like I do. But God isnt to b blamed for these...its US. We all have wicked tendencies. YOU DONT BLAME BARBERS FOR OVERGROWN BEARDS IN THE CITY. God gave the earth to us and look what weve made it. Back to the other issue, I agree that there are people called pastors today that shouldn't be. We have counterfeits in every field of life. You and I know if we ponder deeply that pastors aren't to balme for the poverty we see. I once lived with a pastor and I saw n experienced first hand the life of a pastor so much that I decided I will never be one. Poverty is a mind set...an attitude...a blend of wrong habits...and its also sponsored by demons and unfortunate situations. Pastors are trying hard to help. I know where I was and who I have become today by walking with God and practicing the principles sincere pastors have simply taught from the Bible. My warm regards.

Nigerians deserve the kind of useless leaders they have
The owner of this forum is Seun. He is expected to be of the younger progressive generation right? See what I've been saying?
Deprofessional: If your Earthly father has a G-wagon, you cannot be moving around with public buses.
How come your spiritual father has a private jet and you cannot afford three meals a day? Daddy Freeze asks.
This point raised by Daddy Freeze has finally exposed the criminals in the house of God. They take from the poor and enrich themselves while promising the poor of a better place in heaven.
How can you rationalise Chris Oyakhilome who preaches on the need to lay our wealth in heaven , yet buys choice properties in Dubai, London and other places.
I have said it, and I will continue to say it, most Nigerian pastors are actually robbing the poor.
jchioma: Look! We are not absolving the govt of their responsibilities. But there is what is known as CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility. If I am in the man of god's shoes, I will do better. This is the only road leading to his village. The injunction: Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven is still valid.
Statsocial: Living Faith Church bought 24 Villages to house the ongoing Canaancity Project which would serve as residence for Church members in 15,000 buildings. The Church would also construct a Four way express from Lafenwa to Ayobo to ease the traffic for people going to and from Canaancity.
Funding model: The Church buys the land, lays the pipes, Construct the Roads and parks, build the Health Center, Secondary School etc The Houses would be Constructed by the Construction Consortium with their own Money. Interested members pays the Church, Church holds the money and give to the Construction agencies as they deliver on the construction.
The new 8,000 hectares of land acquired by him to build his proposed Africa’s biggest housing estate in Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of Ogun State were from villagers.
The hectares of land were acquired from villages in Iyesi, Ijeba, Osuke, Faru, Olukowonjo, Idimu, Okomi, Ibeju, Lemomu, Atan, Igbesa, Lusada, Ewutagbe, Imuta, Batera, Tatowu, Ikogbo, Imoshe, Igbo-Ota and stretches to Lafenwa and Olugbodo.
Furthermore, our source also squealed that part of the reasons Oyedepo acquired some of the land from villages that link Lafenwa to Ayobo is to construct a highway that will be a four-lane express.
This, we learnt, will ease the heavy traffic they always encounter when coming to Canaanland to worship.
On Sunday, February 6, 2011, one of the representatives of Idimu village, Mr. Segun Oke, confirmed the land acquisition. “Yes, it is true that Bishop David Oyedepo acquired hectares of land from about 24 villages to build Canaan City. The lands are actually more than 8,000 hectares, because in some of the villages, he got more than a thousand hectares. Our own clan is Idimu and I can tell you categorically that he got the land at the rate of --- --- per acre. The family heads were Ikibawo and Ileshe. We were all paid with Intercontinental Bank cheques. I can tell you that he is also constructing a four-lane expressway that will link Canaanland to Ayobo, Lagos. As regards where the land owners have relocated, Ado-Ode/Ota has an expanse of land and the villagers still have spare lands around the village.”
Bishop David Oyedepo is currently building Africa’s biggest housing estate in Ota, Ogun State known as Canaan City.
The architect turned preacher of the Word acquired about 8,000 hectares of land for the project. The land has already been fenced. That alone cost tge church 1 billion naira, as its perimeter length is about 400km.
The houses are of six types and range from 3-bedroom flats of N4.9 million, duplex of N37.13m, semi-detached duplex of N24.2m, terrace house of N15.41m, high cost apartment of N24.62m, medium cost apartment of N8.22m to executive villas of N45.5 million. Other facilities inside the Canaan City would include a police station, banks, shopping centres, parks, swimming pools for each block and flats and villas, plus Covenant University Teaching Hospital. The record breaking 15,000 housing units will be handled by a Consortium of 10 Indigenous and Foreign Construction agencies.
The first set of units are already being completed.
jared007: Donnie fight to ensure this thread hits front page.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Christ Embassy is gonna overun Zimbabwe just like we did to South Africa.
It's up to Seun and lalasticla... Whether they'll see and accept truth for what it is....
Or whether they'll rather showcase wizkid's babymama or Ebuka's agbada
My last thread (about the Donald Dukes of Nigeria) which suggested a shift in mindset of Nigerians towards choosing the BEST presidential candidate over one who is from a certain tribe or party is still hanging there.
Pastor Chris visited the country in May this year and prophesied thus...
" The reason I'm here at this time is because something special is about to happen in your country... Your nation is about to experience a new beginning..."
