it's a pity I didn't see this thread on time to educate u a little. I don't like comparing pastor chris and tb joshua becoz they are friends with different gifts. Pastor chris is the greatest teacher alive today while tb joshua is the greatest prophet alive. Pastor chris popularity dwindled a little after 2006 when he held d largest crusade ever in nigeria with over 3million people in attendance blocking the lagos - Ibadan expressway. Pastor had a clash with lagos govt becoz of dat programme and has not held any crusade since 2006 becoz there's no venue to contain the crowd. Pastors healing school tv programmes were banned by Nigerian govt becoz of envy of CAN and PFN.

Pastor Chris popularity didn't dwindle in 2006. He was persecuted alright but rather than dwindle, his popularity increased. The clash with Lagos state government was over the campground at Alausa Ikeja which today serves as one of the car Parks during ministry programs.

Today Christ Embassy pastors are filling the various stadia around the country. IMAGINE, a stadium that Pastor Chris used for crusade, is being filled by the pastor of just one CE branch.

As for both ministers, I see Pastor Chris as Moses, and TB Joshua as Elijah. Both are prophets.

While Elijah was a great prophet with great signs and wonders, who challenged the prophets of Baal, Moses was the teacher of the Word with dominion, great power, authority, signs and wonders plus Pastor and leader of Millions.

This is what happens when you ignore the bible and follow signs. The church has allowed so many lies over the years.

Otherwise you'd easily recall that Pastor Chris was the only pastor who in yr 2001, boldly stood his ground when he was persecuted for calling TB Josuah a man of God. All of CAN and PFN fought against Pastor Chris, they called him names, lied against him, persecuted him, but he did not recant.

And at that time, Pastor Chris was already one of the most influential pastors in Nigeria whereas, most Nigerians simply saw TB Joshua as a juju man. Those who are old enough would recall.

Which pastor do you know in the world that has donated one billion naira at once for charity except Pastor Chris who donated to BIU?

He donated an ultramordern lecture complex to another school (AAU) with standby generator, plus street lights all over, plus reading lamps for every student. Who has done that before? I'm talking big-time charity projects without much noise.

What has Oyedepo got to do with it? Any Christian who is not broken or filled with the Spirit can exhibit such behavior. There is need to ensure that the right spiritual, and trained personnel handle such responsibility in church.

I remember several years ago how as an rusher I almost got offender during a Pastor Chris crusade. One dude came with his sick old mum on a wheelchair. He had nothing but hatred, anger and bitterness to give anyone he came across. It's like his mum even forced him to the crusade.

And here am I standing right in front of him (trying to prevent the crowds from pushing forward) as he gave me and the whole CE insult after insult, looking at me up and down as he spoke to my hearing. If not for a more mature usher who noticed what was happening and calmed me down, hmmm... we for pull shirt that night.
