The court already made it clear in a ruling of a gov candidate in Kogi that a deputy been disqualified has no effect on the gov candidate who was fully elected.

Appeal has been filed and all will maintain status quo.

APC will won both Bayelsa and Kogi state.

However, it is pertinent to point that INEC disqualified the SDP deputy guber candidate in KOGI because he was underage. Natasha and her party (SDP) replaced the running mate on the last day of the substitution window and INEC acknowledged its receipt. Yet INEC went ahead to disqualify the SDP from participating in the election. SDP approached the court and the court ruled in there favor!

It’s true that the status quo would be maintained in Bayelsa, but i don’t see how the scenarios that played out in Zamfara and Rivers wouldn’t play out because it would be difficult to upturn the judgement by the higher courts.

But then, this is Nigeria; The case between Adeleke and Oyetola of OSUN comes to mind, Where the judges would rather honor technicalities in the face of law.
