Then be ready to lose people like Oghiadomhe, Dokpesi, Domingo, Shagadi, Abubakar Momoh, Ihonvbere, Alimikhena, Oshiomole, et al. What is present-day Edo State without all the aforementioned people? Guy, think well na! |

Whatever village or hamlet you come from is not as popular as Auchi or Igarra; so stop yearning sh1t. You used to think I was Yoruba, but ever since you discovered that I don't even understand Yoruba language let alone come from there, you've been looking for way to link me with Kogi. You are the one to decide whichever time you wanna make love to your wife, Buhari being the President can never decide that for you. The fact that he's the President doesn't mean we should intrude in his personal life. He can choose to travel with his wife and at the same time tell her to stay with the children. That's his personal decision. |

raumdeuter: You are right!!
By the way The North central would retain the position
When Enwerem, Okadigbo, etc were removed a South East Senator still retained it
Same with when Salisu Buhari and Patricia Etteh were removd as speaker, Their replacements were from their zone
So george Akume would be SP You are getting it wrongly. The Senate Presidency under Enwerem, Okadigbo et al was zoned to the Southeast. However, that of Saraki wasn't zoned to the North-Central, he stole what should have belonged to the Northeast. I'm having the feeling that Lawan might still become the Senate President, while an APC Senator from the Southwest would emerge the Deputy; Akume would retain his position as the Leader of the Senate which he held at the 7th Senate albeit in the Minority Status. Saraki, Ekweremadu and Ali Ndume are all going down! |

TonyeBarcanista: Commendable act by the Atiku stooge.
As for those asking when Igbo Govs will start appointing non-Igbos, I shake my head at their ignorance.
Alhaji Haruna Garba, Seriki of Hausa is the Special Adviser to Governor Obiano on Religion (Islamic) www.newsexpressngr.com/news/detail.php? news=6947 The fact that he sat on the floor during one of his visits to Atiku doesn't mean he's his stooge; it's a norm over there. I thought you were vast until you made this statement. Try and read the below: This came on a day that a Benue High Court ordered the cancellation of the rescheduled governorship primaries in the state and former Vice President and APC Presidential Aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar failed to get his preferred candidate elected in his home state, Adamawa. Adamawa APC Primaries: Bindow Crushed Atiku’s CandidateThe Presidential ambition of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in Adamawa State has suffered a major setback as his favourite candidate Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji was defeated in Thursday’s party primaries by Senator Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla.
Jibrilla defeated Mijinyawa repeating a feat he made in the APC Primaries in the build up to the 11th October botched by election making it the second time to defeat Atiku’s favoured candidate in about two months.
Chairman of the primary election Committee, Abubakar Yawe while announcing the outcome, described the election as the most peaceful and transparent as all the aspirants were satisfied with it.
He said four contestants participated in the primaries “We have four aspirant as governorship candidates of this primaries who alongside their agents assert all the modalities employed for this primaries.”
Yawe announced that Dr Tahir Mamman got 17 votes, Kobis Ari Thimnu scored 85 votes, Yayaji Mijinyawa scored 1,183 and Senator Jibrila Bindow got total votes of 1,880 while 24 votes were returned as invalid out of total delegates of 3,316 from the 21 LGA. http://leadership.ng/news/393147/adamawa-apc-primaries-bindow-crushed-atikus-candidateStop saying what you don't know! |

In my house, my dad and most of my siblings supported GEJ during election because one of my brother inlaw is a cousin to Tompolo and thus benefit from GEJ wastage of nigeria fund. But today, they are begining to support Buhari because they are seeing the change. There are many rivers indigene who support Buhari. And the number of south south supporting Buhari are increasing. The wailers wouldn't like to hear this. They believe all those who support Buhari are either Hausa/Fulani or Yoruba. But they haven't asked themselves where over 200,000 votes Buhari recorded in Edo came from if not from Edolites! |

atbu1983: I am south south from Edo central senatorial district. The PDP stronghold of Edo State even though i do not support PDP. Our people supported PDP because of anthony Anenih and also because of minister of works under GEJ who is from my town. The only senator from edo state in that list is from my senatorial district. You can go and check my profile since 2011 i joined Nairaland. They don't always believe that anyone who doesn't support PDP is from the South-South. This same TonyeBarcanista who now supports them was once tagged Yoruba because he didn't support his fellow Ijaw-man then and PDP. Now they proudly call him Ijaw because he supports PDP. I've been called Yoruba most time on this forum. Little wonder Jonathan and DSP called PDP an Ijaw-Party while others now see it as a regional party! |
