The lady is giving conditions and starting what will and will not happen because she knows (or think she knows) the guys response to her. If the guy have asserted himself in past, the story will be different. My wife dare not leave my house with detailed explanations and the notice had to be given in advance. Less alone taking my children to her parents place and demanding for upkeep. The guy is rich from the story and probably have the means to make the woman life a leaving hell.
