Good day all.
Please help, the battery sign on my Honda civic 2008 come up, I took it to a rewire who check n said the alternator is good that may be it not communicating with the brain box again that he has to bypass the sign if I want it off. I was not satisfied with his recommendations and I took it to another rewire who recommended I change the alternator that the copper coil in d alternator has burnt. I change the alternator but the battery sign is still showing. Note the car drive well n does not do any hard starting. Please car experts here, what could be the problem?

double3 may be right about the caliper. Or the brake pads are in close contact with the brake disc even when brake is not applied

Once the car is hot, the gear will not enter reverse again, and once i accelerate to up to 75 km/h the gear will slip off and will not respond to acceleration until it come down to like 50km/h. The two Mechanic i have taken the car to, one said i should change the gear box and the other said it might be the gear oil that i should change the gear oil. Pls car gurus what should i do?

Yes but we have not done the welding. He said the issue might occur again as the valve is already weak.

No i have not, after he removed it, he service d valve n fixed it back and the car drive well then he suggested that as a permanent solution.

A stuck open EGR valve can truly cause such problems since there would be unmetered exhaust gases within the cylinder. However how did he reach this conclusion?
If it is the EGR valve, rather than block it have you considered replacing it?
Though the EGR system is basically for emission purpose and in this partof the world we dont really care much about however kindly consider the best option before proceeding and ensure the job is done properly.
I would advice a replacement rather than blocking it sha. Bt thr choice is yours.

It was when he remove the EGR valve that he found out it open, so he suggested we do small welding around the edge of the spring so it will be permanently close.

How much is 215/65/16? I want to change from 195/65/16. Can 215/65/16 fit into civic 2008? The car is too down so am trying to high it.

Check the window switches especially from the driver side. That could be where your problem lies.
Also check your fuses in some cars a different fise powers the driver side while the others are powered by a different fuse.

17k .... Am out of 0w20 ,but I have 5w20 ,just like what the manual says ,you can use 5w20 for now , but on your next oil change switch back to 0w20
