raumdeuter: First goal Debruyne beat Blind to the ball very different from Blind passing the ball to Debruyne like Gundogan and KDB did yesterday, Second goal ball fal to KDB he cut to his left and shot hit the post and Iheanacho buried the rebound You can only beat a player to the ball when you have pace(running for the ball), blind was simply ball watching and that ball was his everyday of the week, he didn't even contend and that was an individual error, ask the pundits on that day too Blind again gave him too much space and didn't put any single pressure on KDB which allowed him to cut to his left, individual error, ask the pundits Did I see you yelling individual errors on that day? NO! Instead it was Pep's ingenuity Did I see you talking about pep's defensive tactics in the second half? NO! Instead it was Pep's masterclass Oga, enough with the excuses |

raumdeuter: Controlling a ball and passing to an open Kolarov is Pep style, Or Fernandinho falling is Pep style or John Stones falling asleep and failing to receive a simple pass Stop giving excuses Man city's first goal against united was due to blind's ball watching(individual error) Second goal, poor marking and ball watching(individual error) I guess that is mourinho's style too How many of you screamed "individual error" that day? When stoke equalized due to De gea's error, how many of you screamed individual error? Hypocrisy, individual errors my foot |

eph12: I don't think I have ever criticised Jose about parking the bus. I just want to correct that your last sentence. It is very possible to park the bus and still lose. That said I was among those that cheered Chelsea when they eliminated Barcelona that year by parking the bus so I am a fan of bus parking when that's your best only option. There is no correction to be made, I never said you can't lose when you park the bus That statement was based on our lackadaisical performance against those teams, reminiscent of LVG's days at the club, how can man united park the bus against lower teams like watford and Feyenoord and still get beaten 3-1, 2-1? It's very funny |

Lana1: Lol. In what Universe is it a stated rule that whoever parks the bus still cant lose?? Parking the bus prevents ur opponents from scoring plenty goals. But it doesn't guarantee that u'll win.
Mourinho parked the bus against 10 man Psg and still lost. Hull City parked against us and still lost.
Against Feyenoord, early in the 2nd half,we were camped in our half and Rashford was isolated up front on so many occassions. Even when the ball was in their half, our midfielders didn't cross the half way line. And we didn't come out to attack until Zlatan came in and we were searching for the equalizer.
I dont need to analyse how the first against City went coz i'm sure u still remember vividly how the half went. And to buttress my point, we were losing at half time despite all our parking during the first half.
Against Watford, we were parking as usual in the 2nd half until a lucky break led to our equalizer. Despite the equalizer and at a time we were supposed to be pushing to win the win the match, go check how many of our players were behind the ball when Watford scored their second. We parked to the extent that Pogba was passing ball to ref
At least Chelsea back then and Atletico used to park bus with purpose. Them go park, counter and still go on to win. A very good example na Chelsea vs Barca 2012. But for us, we just dey park to avoid defeat. Park Bus and hope for the best.
U people go on and on about how Pep is a fraud. Well me i say Mourinho is a very useless manager with rubbish one-way tactics!! Really? When a team parks the bus, they are supposed to have less possession/ see less of the ball but in those games against Feyenoord and watford we had more possession, more passes completion, more shots, more corners How is that? How can a team park the bus and still beat its opponent In every positive statistics? I'm finding it difficult to understand Can you also explain how boring mourinho's team has created more chances per possession than any other team in the top flight? How can a park the bus team achieve such? |

AdisaOwala: I still dunno why you are always too quick to defend Mourihno untop this Bus-parking tactic when it's a Strategy that would always be synonymous with him.
Instead of the Examples you gave, i'd rather go with these Chelsea Games under Mourihno (during his second spell at the club)....
Vs Man Utd (at Oldtrafford that ended 0-0 in the 2013/14 season under Moyes). I remember Chelsea started that game with no recognized Striker yet Costa or Eto (cant really remember) were on the bench.
Vs Liverpool at Anfield (the Match wey Gerard's mistake cost him a PL title).
Mourihno made a defensive sub against 10 man Psg and Chelsea were still knocked out of the CL in that match I am not defending Jose's park the bus tactic, we all know him for that but saying we've been parking the bus under Jose this season is a very big lie Which team parks the bus and still record this amazing stats? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/man-united-been-premier-leagues-8933300 |

And how exactly did we park the bus against those teams? I thought we lost those games 3-1, 2-1 and 1-0? I thought parking the bus prevents your opponents from scoring plenty goals?
Now lemme give you 2 examples of bus parking
Barca vs chelsea 2012
Bayern vs Atletico 2016
In which of those games did we park the bus like chelsea and Atletico against barca and bayern?
Is it not funny that we lost the games you claimed we parked the bus in? |

Lana1: Lol. Better dont let the spirit of ollah1 possess u this afternoon. Pep is good. But the moment Pep gets Knighted by the Queen and he wins up to 13 league titles(in a single league) and over 40 titles across all league competitions and cup competitions, then we can start to put Pep in the same sentence as SAF!! That being said, Pep is better than Mourinho. And their head-to-head speaks for itself
That was then. And, imo, sitting back and waiting for counter is much different from Park the bus system like we played in the 2nd half on monday where we had like 8 bodies at the edge of our box.
You are right. SAF used to sit back and wait for counter against teams he thought were better, like Arsenal. And we've also seen him go all out against the same Arsenal and destroy them 8-2. That's a manager who has a plan A and B.
The only tactic he knows is Park the bus. That's his plan A. He has no plan B. I've seen us Park this season against City, Liverpool and even against small teams like Feyenoord and Watford. The few times dis season we ve left our own half and dominated the game and created few chances was against small teams and that was bcoz those teams sat back and allowed us time on the ball.
To be honest, wen ve u ever seen Mourinho go out and play attacking, entertaining football against a major rival?? Everything he knows na just boring Park the bus type of football.
Mourinho is a useless and boring manager!! Name one match this season were we parked the bus bar the liverpool game(second half) |
