Politics / Re: Banning Of Daytime Movement Of Fuel Tankers And Trailers In Nigeria Campaign! by doppler777(m): 7:24pm On Apr 28, 2013
[quote author=pekelepekele][color=#000099][b]I had a deep thought about it that maybe banning of trailers , heavy trucks and Fuel tankers movement during the day will reduce accident rate but I arrive at the conclusion that it won't work! and it is even better if they are moving by the day than night .

First , Imagine a fuel tanker having a break failure at night and then entering into the street filled with houses and it caught fire , The number of causalities including houses and properties that will get lost will be greater than that of the night .

Most people will already be aslept ,before they call for fire service and before the people living in the burning houses get any attention they would have died from fumes from the fire and also with the state this country fire service is , That they don't even work properly during the day probability that they will work at night is zero if we won't lye to ourselves . I mean sh1t happens but nobody pray for it.

Second , I have been driving around now with my own vehicle during the day and club , bars at night I can boldly tell you that those heavy trucks , tankers and others you see driving slowly during the day doesn't do that at night in fact most teenagers would have come to the conclusion that those heavy trucks and tankers can't speed at all because the way they move during the day. It's a big lye ,Those tankers you see are responsible for the death of people you see by the road side in the morning or either inside the gutter because the rate at which they speed during the night and even with only single head lamp or none at all with their big horn . it's just too dangerous for this big trucks to be moving at night,
In addition their won't be road safety officers at night to challenge them if they have no headlamps and if they are against any traffic law , they can even collide with each other and one of them speed off .
Bad roads is also another great problem their are some roads you will drive through during the day and you will think you have known the road better to drive fast through it at night without knowing that the few hours between the time you passed through that road and the time you are returning from the place you went , Their could have been some new pot holes created by either accidents or heavy rain and if any tanker driver had that same thought and speed through a pot hole it would be an accident.)

Need I say more, all heavy equipment operators over 18,000LBS needs special training and those trucks must pass bi-annual safety inspection...period.

Michaeljones36: Nairaland REALLY has to stop allowing casket pictures.

1. WHO is taking these pics? I mean seriously!
2. It is disrespectful to be commenting on pictures of people's dead bodies.
3. Would you want YOUR casket picture on the web, or the casket picture of someone you knew?

Like if you agree, so the mods can know wats up.
Wake up man!!!! its all over on google.News are no longer in the dark.

ZUBY77:

The secret happened to be that i was at a bar in the airport waiting for our flight and sipping some wine when the pilot came into the bar. We kind of started chatting and he wanted to know what it looks like in Africa. So i had to teach the dude that africa is a continent not a country.. And things got rosy from there.

Secondly, The flight has already landed before he allowed me to enter the cockpit.
"PILOTS ARE QUALIFIED WELL ENOUGH TO PULL OUT D FULL MEANING OF A CONTINENT" and pilots are rarely "sipping" wine @ airport bar before a flight.

Orikinla: Please, when the Holy Bible says God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant, then why should having a private jet for the convenience of a man of God be a problem?

Although you may not need a private jet to spread the good news, because we are now in the digital age and all you need most is a fast internet and a mobile device to connect you to millions of people on earth sharing the Word of God without stress.

Celebrities / Re: Dbanj Parties With Big Sean As He Celebrates 25th Birthday In LA by doppler777(m): 7:39pm On Mar 27, 2013
dbride: Dbanj surely moved too fast to the left. Yes, 9ja is going through hard times regarding leadership but even in these dark times, God is showcasing talents and some positive things are developing fast for us. In spite of everything bad, Nigeria is the next happening place when we talk about entertainment. So I ask, why leave 9ja for the US if you are in that industry? Americans should be looking for us not the other way round.

One other point, black americans are always envious of us. In the US, a nigerian is more respected than the black american by the white american. This is why the black american really never likes a nigerian. Please do your investigation. My people suffer for lack of knowledge. Dbanj will learn the hard way. I am sure he is already experiencing this discrimination but who will he tell. Every well meaning nigerian in the USA knows this fact. How Dbanj didnt ask questions beats me. They will slowly but surely slow him down just to prove that they, the black americans, are better than the nigerian. Dbanj, I sincerely wish you goodluck.
Gbam!!!!!!! you are right on point, need I say more.Black American always feels superior,no matter what..whereas they r piece of sh..eit,NO CULTURE,NO TRADITION,NO INTEGRITY & LACK OF ALMOST EVERYTHING.
Politics / Re: Lagos To Introduce Cable Cars For Mass Transportation. by doppler777(m): 10:06pm On Feb 03, 2013
scorpidmo: cable cars are used in brazilian fervelas which are more densely populated than any place in Lagos, so why can't it work here.
just because Lagos state government is investing in cable cars doesn't mean she can't also invest in bullet trains cos there's nothing like over development
Gbam!!!!!!Wagbayi...people needs to at least Google/reseach cable car operations, yes it is expensive but its going to 1,reduce air-pollution
2,Reduce congestion
3,The system requires low maintanence
4,Wont bother other means of transportation like bullet train, buses
5,Programmable operations
6;Requires high powererd Gen. to back energy supply
Cable transpotation connects NYC with Roosevelt Island over Hudson river
Please let the Governor perform his duty.

Oh no buddy, aim is to obliterate a rival/rebel from any play including frontal assault, infantry units must always advance into the war territory fully prepared & every second counts....No room for vulnerability from counter attack..heck the mission is to KILL/CONQUER.

This is the reason for France's military 'help'
Not the terrorism they are advancing as their reason
The news networks streamed Rwandans commiting genocide &all the West did was shriek 'that's gruesome' and went back to eat their dinners
Because Rwanda lacked resources they could control
Hollywood later released movies like Hotel Rwanda&Sometime in April to wash the Western conscience upon Rwandans.
Interesting innit!

baby_123:

Maybe like every other thing, Nigerian's like to leave the erring party to God and suffer in silence. But when they see their mates doing same abroad they start looking for the law. But there are no structures in place to catch a disappearing ex, and anyone can just disappear into thin air in Nigeria. Hardly any citizen records are kept to keep people in compliance. To make these laws work, so much needs to be done.
Oh yeah, just like social security #. wink
