Vikin: It's also a requirement even if you have a long stay visit visa for you to have an attestation d'accuil and a credit card with you when traveling. They have the right to stop you from entering France especially if they are nt sure you have a place to stay and how to sustain yourself during your visit.

There was this lady ( I don't know her btw) that used the same letter of invite I used to apply for her UK business visa. I don't know how she got the letter, she got to heathrow or gat wik airport in London and was stopped by immigration. They called her supposed sponsor, ( from the letter of invite) to identify her, but the sponsor never knew who she was and the only contact he had in Nigeria was me, he called me to confirm if I knew the lady and of course I don't. Anyway, the matter was that she was returned back to Nigeria.
Why am I saying this, even with your valid visa, they have the right to send you back if you can't prove of adequate means of survival etc.

Yes he need to prove it to him because his arguments was like he can prove it, pls note that he uploaded unclear copy of French visa before, and with that Justwise ain't satisfied or accept that as proof because id didn't clear...

Vikin: I was talking about business visa! Yes, there must be an invitation...if you are going to shop, book an appointment with the shop owner, if possible make a down payment and state that when your visa is issued you will come confirm the product etc. state your itinerary on an official letter.

For tourism, if possible pay for maybe 2 days hotel accomodation on condition if your visa is refused, they refund your money. Also state the Itinerary of your journey in an official letter....

For family, better to get an attestation d'accuil instead of hotel accommodation. This is just my opinion and how I handle my travel

It's not a must. If i have a long valid Visit Visa, i don't think it is necessary to go apply for business visa again..

Vikin: I don't know what document they submitted, what I can tell you is that at vfs office, give them the document they require. They don't accept original document except your passport and attestation d'accuil, ( can't remember everything). But the other documents, I gave a colored scan copies instead, recent bank etc.

If possible get a good invitation letter from your client with maybe a copy of their passport....

Maybe they prefer to give young guys visa going for training than those going for tourism...

Vikin: They do give first timer if you do the right thing. I remember when I collected mine, a long time friend of mine also came around.

He was a first timer but I have a good travel history, after collection, he got the visa for himself and 8 others ( he collected their passport for them with their approval). They submitted based on training in France, they paid the training fees, submitted their salary slip...( not too big by the way) etc.

They had a sponsor with 7 million Naira in his account, that took care of the accommodation for them and all, but the funny thing was that, the 9 th person on the role, supposedly the sponsor's wife didn't get the visa. Because she didn't put her payslip( even though she was a co director) but only claimed to be the sponsors wife. However, she and the sponsor had the same surname but she didn't get any proof like marriage certificate to show they were married.

I think following the steps here matter, so before submitting or going for any visa interview, make sure every thing is perfect. If you claim something, always get an official document to back it up.

Naija_lastborn: To my own personal Experience, because I am a kinda of person who strongly believe in what I see with my own eyes, I bet you, France Embassy in Nigeria is so bias, in the sense that, I was there to collected my passport, Out of 20 people on seat, I am the number 15, out of 14 peoples beofre me, just 4 people were given visa in which they have so huge travel histories because their passport is combined like 2-4 passport and 10 people was refused before me and this 10 people were first time travel with Virgin passports, and all given same Replied for their Visa Denial in which some weeks later, a Nairalander was refused and given same reply... So if you get your Visa via France and you are a first timer belive me, you are a magician

Naaah I've been to france and the uk and I can tell u france is waay better,neater,safer n more beautiful that the uk, a black man and a white man have equal rights in france!! ..even if you go to the institut francais in nigeria! They are all so nice n warm!! The first time I applied for a french visa(my passport was still a virgin) the visa officer was mean at first I thought she was wicked but then a white italian man came and she was mean to him too, that was when I knew she was just being professional.. My visa was stamped!! Imagine ur passport being disvirgined with a french visa without any stupid agent! And my dad isn't so rich, he is just average so you can't even say its because of the bank statements,, just be yourself and be sincere!! N u will get ur visa. The same Visa officer that was so mean suddenly became nice when I went to collect my passport. Goodluck

I applied for 4months and they gave me six!! U jus have to be natural, don't try to impress, and be truthful and sincere and don't get rude no mattter wat! And u will get ur visa! All the french people I've come across are very nice and blacks are very well appreciated n accepted in france .. And france is a better country than even the UK!

No one has ever applied to french Embassy that i known that do not complain that they're not suprised, thats how they've been doing. Whats the meaning of that? APPRECIATE THE EMBASSY for such racism and discrimination? I guess you have a relative working at the embassy... if not, u wont be on their side...

Hello everyone, i have a brother wbo applied for a visiting visa on the 10th of dec for a wedding of another of our brother which was on the 29th of dec. He was refused and this is what the letters says:

"u state u will trave to the uk for your brothers wedding on the 29th dec 2012. I note that you applied for your visa on the 10th dec 2012 and as such you have not allowed sufficient time for the processing of your visa. Applicants are advised to allow 15 working days for the processing"
I have therefor refused.........
You hav a right to appeal against this decision under.....

He would have applied early, but the documents from uk arrived late. So we just told him to still giv it a try, not knowing he will be refused.

Pls what are his chance for this kinda appeal. Can he appeal, what does he need to say? Pls all advice will be grately appreciated.
