babestella: No it is you that should and must shut up. The same way some deranged youths have made up their mind not to vote for GEJ even if he gives them free fuels, food, free wives and jobs for the next 1 year. So you shut you bigoted trap if you have nothing objective to say. Yes even if Buhari brings the certificate now, it's logical to ask why it took him so long a time, it's logical to think that Cambridge could had be compromised in this issue hence it took so long a time to produce a verifiable certificate. Aunty, take am easy. Who told you that i am an APC or Buhari fan All these certificate stuff and the rubbish people throw up both from the PDP and APC groups have too much bitterness embedded in them. Since most people have made up their mind why cant they all shut and vote for whoever they choose to vote for? |
Politics › Re: Clem Aguiyi To Buhari – Collect Your Result From Cambridge Before Returning by DoTheNeedful: 9:46am On Feb 26, 2015 |
ShowYourCertificate: Buhari should be honest with Nigerians. He has no WASC! Many of you guys saying this are already biased and have already made your mind. If Buhari should show the so-called certificate even with a Masters, you will still not vote for him. Those that care about voting him dont really care about what you are saying. You all can shut up and keep your votes |

DouglasHoc: You can check an old thread of 2011 DPR recruitment on Naijahotjobs. A guy that worked with both DPR and NNPC gave a precise breakdown of both companies' entry level pay. Its not time to talk about that yet; let's get the letter first Read my previous comment again. I even thought you saw your friends appointment letter not knowing you got your info on a forum. I am aware of 130k but there are many things you do not know. I was part of the 2010 recruitment. I doubt you have ever had an offer from any of the MDAs then you will know that your monthly take home is not what you see on your appointment letter but the amount that gets to your account monthly when they start paying you |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nnpc Recruitment Interview by DoTheNeedful: 5:38pm On Feb 20, 2015 |
DouglasHoc: Who told you NNPC pays 250k a month You better don't get it twisted. NNPC places GT with B.SC on SS6 and the monthly takehome is 130k. The allowances is the good part. The best thing about NNPC is the job-security. All the best to you and everyone. God is still at work You are technically right but very wrong. I know you came up with this because you saw a friend's appointment letter but i doubt you know more than that and that you have never worked in some of these MDA before. If you are talking about the basic salary, you are right but if you are talking the monthly take home then you are very wrong |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is Church Politics Worse Than Nigerian Politics by DoTheNeedful: 3:46pm On Feb 20, 2015*. Modified: 4:07pm On Feb 20, 2015 |
At the end of the day or at the end of the politics,it all boils down to the money . I usually pity most of the pastor worshipers. Some of those "pastors" may even be agnostic or atheist who started out as a "born-again" but later got disillusioned. The perspective of many pastors and their followers in terms of life, spirituality, money e.t.c are very different . Many of the pastors are more after the bank alerts and good life as a result. They have brain-washed most of their member to "sow seeds" in order to receive anything. The moment most christian place more emphasis on hard-work,taking responsibilities and not relying on one bling-bling, gucci-loving "pastor" to terrorizing them psychologically is the moment we start forcing many of them out of business. |

4C2215131: You must understand that a lot of mis-informed people who have been taken in by their Pastors, Imams and the like blame their woes on curses. Yes, you are right in this aspect. But, I tell you that there are Genuine cases where the supernatural imposes on the preternatural and natural. In those rare cases, it's as real as it gets.
It's just like the issue of exorcism. The Catholic Church admin MUST be actually sure that ALL other "causes" of the so called demonic symptoms has been THOROUGHLY delineated and analysed within a temporal or secular background before approving an exorcism. In 99% of the case the victim's predicament can be explained within the bounds of science or medicine if you will. But, this fact does not negate the fact that there are cases of genuine demonic possession.
So, in essence, while I acquiesce with your view point I implore to not be so sure of your stance by dis-regarding the possibility that an old hag somewhere with nefarious intent can wrought much evil with the necessary knowledge. In fact the mark of true scholarship is evidenced by keeping an open mind about issues and always asking the question "...what if..." Noted |

Pweetyradiance: mushroom universities right? Mr I too know don't have time to argue with you so please if you don't mind try the next person. tanx I have never said you lied but there is certainly something wrong with your story. I am been in the university system for around 14 years as an undergraduate student, postgraduate student,non-teaching staff and teaching staff in one of the foremost universities in Nigeria so,I know what I am talking about. You sound too defensive for someone saying who claim to be saying the truth. Henceforth,I reply you no more |

Pweetyradiance: And why do you think you are right? in my skul there's a space provided for the bursar's signature under every course form. so I ain't begging u to believe what I am saying I will rather pick the reasonable opinions of people who understand my plight and leave. tanx A space for the bursar to sign Do you know what a bursary and a bursar is in a university? Maybe you are a student in one of those mushroom private school with less than 10 buildings...Even at that i still have my doubts. I am not saying that you are telling a lie but something does not connect well in your story |
Education › Re: My Experience With My School's Bursar by DoTheNeedful: 10:17am On Feb 19, 2015 |
Pweetyradiance: Just feel like sharing this story with you, please if you were in my shoes what would have been your reaction?
Two days ago I went to the bursary department in my school to have my course forms signed, when I got there the bursar was busy attending to other students so he asked me to sit which I did, while he kept on attending to them. He was done attending to everyone I met inside the office and was about attending to me when someone else came in, he left me to attend to that person with an excuse that she is the Secretary to one of the HOD's in the school, I kept waiting patiently little did I know he was up to something. when he was done attending to the young lady and she left I gave him my course forms to sign, he took them, looked at them for a while then stared back at me and called my name. I answered, he asked if I will like to be his friend( deep down in my heart I was like, see this old cargo oh wetin him want sef) then I gave him an abrupt answer "yes" I felt he would do the needful and let me go but the next thing I heard was " can I have your nums" (for my mind I shout say Kai! e don set for me oh) God so bless I wasn't with my phone, this was what I had tried hard to avoid for the past 3yrs I had been in skul. I almost lied that I don't have a phone but had a second thought,so I gave him a wrong nums, that wasn't okay for the mugu oh he signed the course forms thereafter he stretched his hands to touch my breast* shy* I had no option than to slap his hand so hard. I stood up and left his office, he kept shouting "we will talk on phone"
the problem now is :should I keep it to myself or let the school authority know about it? I will sincerely appreciate your opinions. Why do I find this difficult to believe NLders will quickly believe this because they like stories revolving around lust and romantic adventure . You went to sign a course form with a bursar Do you know that a bursar is a principal officer in a university together with the librarian,DVC,registrar and the VC. You as a student may not see him for up to 3 times befor you graduate. Maybe you were just harassed by one account officer like that or you are a student in one mushroom college of education or a private university. There is something definitely wrong with your story |

4C2215131: Wish it was that simple and straightforward. When the denizens of the Netherworld are after you, no amount of positive thinking, dis-belief, hardwork, motivation or prejudice can set you free. In three words; You Are F@#ked!
Only an alternate power MAY set you free. Okay. That is your opinion and I understand you being an African and the way we were brought up. Are those curses limited to Africa alone? Most of the time,we suffer from the mentality that somebody is after us than any curse. Try to be hard-working. Try to take responsibilities Realize that in this life good and bad happens due to stochastic reasons. Forget that somebody is after you AND You will realize that life can be beautiful and those people that you think are "after you" are busy trying to make ends meet too |

I dont believe...many of us (Africans) are : 1. Lazy and consequently blame curse or juju for our predicaments . What many of us consider as hard-work is not a proper definition of hard-work. 2. Excuse givers. We dont take responsiblity. There is no curse or jazz that stand in the way of a man of purpose. To borrow the words of Shakespeare: "The fault is not in our stars but in ourselves....". In summary, people should take responsibility, stop laying about and forget about curses. We are a people that prefer praying in religious settings when we should be adding values to our lives |
