Every religion has their own fanatical followers same as every autobrand. you may need to use other brands or sample the opinion of unbiased benchmark to understand the shortcomings of certain products. no doubt your car is likely not well tasked or you belong to the category that takes what they see in good faith without complain. their are autobrands that stand the test of time especially in Nigerian roads and Honda is certainly not one of them. I grew up in a Honda loving family so i know what i am talking about. there are certain chain of issues that Honda cars can give and you will start thinking that somebody is using juju on you. Honda has very beautiful aerodynamics and interior but their transmissions are not not rugged when compared to toyota especially when they have odometre reading upwards 150,000.

the most likely issue coming from the BrainBox of the gear box, it is sending wrong signals to the entire gearbox mechanism and this will eventually degenerate to the burning out of the fiber assembly inside the transmission compartment.

It is a problem that is very common to Honda products. start gathering money for the replacement of the Gbox Brainbox which shouldn't be more than 10,000 but the replacement often is a 50/50 stake depending on the mechanic that handled it.
