We can discuss if you want to partner with me or you want outright payment. I would prefer we partner together, I bring the idea and the funds and you bring in your technical expertise.

Any interested person should please reach out to me and I will like to see your past work to determine if you can do the job and also a NDA will need to be signed for obvious reasons .

Hi Guys,

I don't know if this is the right section, I am a Canadian PR holder (living in Canada) and I just got married last month and I am planning to sponsoring my wife (Living in Nigeria) for PR and in the process of waiting for the PR application, I will apply for the SOWP.

Now I kind of have an idea of PR sponsorship process from the reading I have done for the past few days but I just want to double check and confirm I am doing the right thing, that been said here are my questions:

There is no option for online submission, rather I have to collate all the IMM docs and supporting docs from my wife and I and then send it via mail or courier to CIC office Nova Scotia, is this correct ?
My wife doesn't have to show any financial document since I will be the one to show those docs?
My wife is not working at the moment, will that raise a red flag ?

If any one here has done this before, I will appreciate a detailed explanation, thanks y'all

Emphasis on the boldened....EVERY application must be customized....Spray and pray is like putting your resumes in a shredding machine. It just won't work. Case in point....I was at a recruiting event and approached one recruiter....She took my resume, read just the first line of my career profile and when she saw some key words she just stopped and looked up at me and said "Yes i'm hiring for roles in this area so you are in good shape for this". Customizing is work but the more you do it the better you get at it. Jobscan.Co is good but it's paid after a while right?

When I used it, it was free...its all fancy now, maybe cos of the traffic on the website
Travel / Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by double08(m): 2:41pm On Feb 23, 2018
For those looking for jobs, you know you have to tailor your resume according to the job description Cos if you keep sending off one generic resume for every opening chances are you won’t get that call from HR. Cos most company seive our resume with the keyword software. (Forgotten the name) anyways I used this website; jobscan.co and it helped me immensely hopefully it helps another person. Now I am working as a deskside support and I am contemplation on moving towards server administration or security..taking a course on SCCM now though

Some things have to be said. No apologies or sugarcoating. I see a trend here and credit has to be given.

- John Boyega played Finn in star wars

- Moe Sasegbon was casted in Wonder woman. And she'll also get another role in Justice league

- David Oyelowo played Martin Luther King in Selma.

- Mo Abudu/Niyi Akinmolayan just broke records with Wedding party 2 .

- Some of Mo Abudu/Kemi Adetiba's records with Wedding party still stand.

- Wizkid defied all odds to beat the likes of Drake and Jay-z to MOBO awards. Also became the first African artist to perform at Royal Albert Hall.

-Davido recently broke records for the highest grossing Nigerian concert.

Both of them are the biggest artistes in Africa today

-Now Funke Akindele just did another one with avengers

Even the highest grossing Nollywood movies were produced/directed by Yorubas. Kunle Afolayan, Niki Akinmolayan, Tunde Kelani, Biyi Bandele, Kemi Adetiba, Ebony life studios. Some otolos saying they control nollywood don't even know things have changed. We boss that nollywood now. They think we are still in the era of Ada the serpent. Lmao grin cheesy

It's also not a coincidence that all the Nigerians who have won the Grammys are Yorubas. I won't even talk about Fela

See, no one comes close to Yorubas in entertainment. You can't tell me nothing. Funny how we barely even brag about it. Oh well...I just did.

Now

You think black americans run rap cos you see their names on TV everyday? look again and you will see the whites actually control rap and rap lables, same with Nollywood, people who pull the string at the back are located in Idumota and pound road Aba.

You conveniently forgot Chiwetel Ejiofor, Blair Underwood, Forest Whittaker, Nneka, Jidenna, Lemar to mention a few

That been said all tribes are representing and these people made their mark not cos of their tribe like someone else has pointed out. Instead of bring up the tribe card, celebrate all of them, I have noticed only the poor ones that bring up tribalism, the ones that are rich don't care, I do business with mostly Yoruba guys why? we dont care about the tribe, we are focused on the money...brother change your perception

zandora:
Hello all,

I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view

In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Next take your IELTS General test.

Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp

Other things you must have:

Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below:

Written on company letterhead.

Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor.

Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature.

Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses

Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)

The letter must include 5 things:

Your job title.

The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY).

Your salary per year (or month).

Your average hours per week.

A detailed list of your employment duties.

Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp

Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family:

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $12,164
2 $15,143
3 $18,617
4 $22,603
5 $25,636
6 $28,913
7 or more $32,191 (I've updated the funds requirement)

Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children.

Wishing you the best of luck smiley!

Hi people I have some questions hopefully someone can help me out, I am in Canada and by next month I should have 1 year experience and be legible to apply for EE and I also have 1 year work experience in Nigeria and 2years if I decide to add my NYSC job experience, herein lies my questions;

1. Can I include the job I did during my NYSC ?
2. The company I worked for after my NYSC, was a computer training school, the school has since closed up but I can still get a letter from the proprietor but it won't have a website, will that be a problem ?

I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing before moving ahead.

Thanks
