PoliticsRe: APC Rejects Plan To Shelve Election In Borno, Adamawa, Yobe by double0seven(m): 6:49am On Jan 15, 2015
Teedoe25:
Am very sure man is addicted to koko, Am sure if those state were PDP state Apc would have supported the cancellation of election in those Area. These pple are fighting for their own selfish reason that's they don't give a damn abt the life of Nigerians in those affected Area
even the people in those areas want exercise their rights to vote. So what exactly are you suggesting? That elections in the three States should be canceled? Are you telling me the FG does not have the capacity to brainstorm and come up with a solid strategy to checkmate Bokoharam and conduct elections in those three States?

If I was General in the Army or a security adviser, I would suggest elections in those three States be conducted first, two before other States so that the full human resources of the military can be fully concentrated in those areas. And I don't think for even a minute that I'm more knowledgeable than security advisers and strategist with decades of experience in the military.

The problem is the insincerity of the Jonathan led FG.
PoliticsRe: APC Rejects Plan To Shelve Election In Borno, Adamawa, Yobe by double0seven(m):
elections can hold in those States is the FG does what they are supposed to do.....deploy thousands of troops to the whole region for the elections. That's what any reasonable FG will do. But no, GEJ won't have that. He is allowing Bokoharam have a field day just because he wants to win the elections.

Also, another thing that can be dome is for the elections in those three States to hold on the 12yth, two days before February 14. That way, the while resources of the Nigerians Military can be entirely concentrated on those 3 States.

You see, there are very plausible solutions to this delieama but GEJ is nor untreated in them. He wants votes of those states decimated because they are GMB's stronghold.

That GEJ is just a pretender who likes to act as if he cannot hurt a fly. It is so obvious. All of a sudden, Bokoharam just seems to be having their way with very little resistance from the military. Some governors have already called for more troops to be deployed to the region. But no, Mr. Jonathan just does as if he didn't hear at all.

Do you know how da.ft y you are? How daft your reasoning is? In fact it so daft it's beyond imagination.

Buhari stronghold is the North, especially the Northeast. The populace of Northeast would vote enmass for General Buhari. So why would he want the decimate a nd displace the Nigerians citizens of the Northeast thereby denying himself of vital millions of vote.

The person who has to gain from attacks on Northeast is Jonathan and not Buhari, WO please stop being stu.paid.

“I agree that we must stop
corruption but I will not do so by
catching people and putting them

We can’t stop corruption that way.”

"The President said that instead of
fighting corruption by making
arrests, he would structure Nigeria
in such a way that people holding
public offices would no longer have
direct access to funds."

“If they had succeeded in fighting
corruption, corruption would not
have been with us today. If they
had set up structures to manage
resources, in this ICT era, we would
not have been talking about
corruption today.
“What happened on the issue of
civil servants is something known
as IPIS which is a software for
protecting salaries. Sometimes
people steal salaries in some
Federal Government agencies and
ministries. They tried to divert
funds meant for some allowances
but since the system is scientific, it
shut down. This is the only way
that you can prevent corruption."

I swear to God, Jonathan is a complete failure. And many of the points highlighted by OP only confirmed what people have been saying about him: his body language and all embodiment and soul encourages corruption.

Imagine, the President is telling us that he wants to fight corruption by computer software. Is the computer software not made by humans? Can it not be compromised by humans? So when those humans who are knowledgeable in the software compromise and collaborate with heads of government departments, agencies, ministries etc., and steal billions, what do you do? What do you do? Go and look for stronger computer softwares?!!!

This man is an unbelievable idiot! I mean this is the President of the biggest black nation talking.

All over the world, in civilised and technologically computerised advanced societies ( like the US for instance) the major (effective) way of fighting corruption and deterrence to corruption is catching corrupt individuals and putting them in jail. That is the age long method of preventing corruption in the society and it hasn't changed; in Japan, China, US, UK, etc.; in the most technologically computerized advanced economies in the world, this is how it is done, not talk of Nigeria who is far behind in the deployment of technology.

In recent times, even serving governors have gone to jail in America.

JONATHAN IS CORRUPTION PERSONIFIED AND HE NEEDS TO BE KICKED OUT NOW BEFORE HE DESTROYS NIGERIA.

I SWEAR THIS GUY WILL DESTROY THE COUNTRY.

And lastly, no one has said anything about killing them; we just want them jailed as deterrence and means of stopping corruption before it kills the country.

Seriously, what really is in contention? Is the concern that General Buhari does not have the academic qualification to be the president of Nigeria?

Many idiots above even have the guts to be saying and repeating over again that GMB is an illiterate.

How very absurd. For anyone to claim such, he has to close his eyes, brain and heart to a very obvious truth since they are hired for a price to do what they are doing, otherwise, under what consideration does GMB qualify as an illiterate?

Thank your for sharing with us the depth of your history knowledge and and experience. As they say "those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." Is Buhari not aware of these happenings? Is Buhari not aware of the law requiring SSCE as a requirement for contesting election in Nigeria? What stopped him from arming himself all these while with the necessary requirement? If he's ignorant of the requirement of running for presidency in Nigeria, what make you think he won't be ignorant of the problems he's coming to solve? If he's unprepared for election what's the guaranty that he's prepared to lead?

Even as we speak Buhari can make necessary move to (re)acquire his certificate, what's stopping him?
what the hell are you talking about? There is no electoral law that require SSCE as requirement for contesting elections.

What the electoral law says is: for you to contest to be Nigeria's President, you must posses an academic minimum qualification of at least SSCE or its equivalent.

There is a very big wide difference in this and what you seem to be implying.

For instance, one can sit for Cambridge A levels exams without SSCE or WAEC or not even going to any secondary school. Through A levels you can progress to other academic attainments like OND, BSC etc.

Well thank God, the Army is also a public institutions...... and it practically sponsored most of GMB's education..

Ordinarily, in this kind of matter, the army would only be too eager to clear the air, buy it's obvious they've been compromised because they want to please the ruling party.

Also a very important question posed by Lai Mohammed: Instead of people just making so much noise that amounts to much-ado-about-nothing, why not just state what exactly is in contention here? The leadership of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) has
dismissed the on-going controversy
dogging its presidential candidate for
the February 14 general election,
General Muhammadu Buhari,
describing it as “contentious of our
military institution”.

Buhari had submitted affidavit
documents instead of photocopies of
his academic certificates, claiming
that the originals are with the Army
authorities.

A weekly newspaper (name withheld)
yesterday published a story where
the military authorities claimed
ignorance of the location of the
certificates in question.

But if what APC spokesman, Lai
Mohammed, told LEADERSHIP Sunday
last night is anything to go by, there
is nothing to be worried about on the
matter, since Buhari had been using
court affidavit papers to contest
previous presidential polls in 2003,
2007 and 2011.

The full text of his reaction reads as
follows, “What precisely is the
controversy all about? Is anyone
insinuating that General Muhammadu
Buhari has not the requisite
academic qualifications to stand as
the presidential candidate of the
APC?” Mohammed said, adding that
“the facts on the issue of General
Buhari are as follows; that General
Muhammadu Buhari was in detention
for over three years; that while in
detention, captors raided his
residence and vandalised his
property including certificates and
diplomas; and that consequently,
after his release, whenever the
General asked about his academic
qualifications, he would refer such
bodies to the Military Command, who
has his service records including his
academic certificates.”

Continuing further, he said, “this was
the case in 2003, 2007 and 2011,
when General Buhari contested for
President under the platform of the
defunct ANPP and CPC and INEC was
quite satisfied with the procedure.”
According to Lai Mohammed, “this
year, General Buhari adopted the
same approach by swearing to an
affidavit that all his certificates had
been lost while he was in detention
and that the Army Command has his
service records, including records of
his academic qualifications”, and that
“INEC to the best of our knowledge
has not expressed dissatisfaction
with the situation, as this was exactly
the approach in years 2003, 2007
and 2011 when General Buhari
contested for President.”

The APC spokesperson further
queried, “Why is anyone trying to
question General Buhari’s
qualifications” saying it “is
contentious of our military institution.
Is the person saying a man who rose
to become a General in the Nigerian
Army does not have the equivalent of
a secondary school?”

LEADERSHIP Sunday recalls that
similar situation arose in 1979 when
some presidential candidates could
not present their three-year tax
clearance certificates, but after the
initial hues and cries, the then
electoral commission, Federal
Electoral Commission, gave them a
waiver which doused the tension in
the land.
