Ok, reason for the killing is known but why should they be killed,' it is our land, they cant do anything, who are they, cows, mad men', this is what beclould our senses of reasoning, inferiority complex. I am not in support of the fulani who refused to heed to warnings or rather refused to use their senses but the enugu people also took an irrational decision . Do they think that the other fulani people will sit and laugh or would nurse grudges against them and if the come out they will also be killed. The day we realise that any move we take has an impact on the nation, that day will be the end of our problem. Based on this parameters it is okay to say both sides have made a mistake. Permit me to say our government are not helping matters, since it is a known fact that there are a set of people who go against the ethics of co-existing among people, why not organise a team that will educate this people on the usefullness of peacefull living, rather they leave that gap open for problem to unfold from. |
Nice one |
You people have said alot about the cause of the civil war and i believe a person who is ready to learn can pick out what is true from what has been said. But let me add this after the first coup the killing of the ibos didnt start immediately. It should be noted that a critical look at the coup would tell you, there was segregation in the killing of the leaders, and we should know that those nothern leaders killed was the voice and pride of nothern nigeria at that time, so you should see that this was enough blow on the face of the nothern nigeria. The cause didnt stop there, with northerners nursing grudges about the killing of only nothern and western leaders, there was a wild proparganda by some igbos rangins from telling the northern people that 'look at how the slaughter you leader( that is sir Ahmadu bello) like a goat','you dont have any say in this country again'. All sort of thing that would trigger the anger of a human was said, this was what made the hausas to say 'you killed our leader and you still have the guts to brag about it in our land', this was what lead to the wild killing of igbos down north. This is a fact. I am not a tribalist and i pray i would never be. I believe our problem is pride and misinformation, So let us learn to find facts for ourselves. You dont expect a biafran soldier to tell you where he was wrong, knowing this all you have to do is take his account and compare it with an account that shows his wrong deed, deduce your own account and tell him your discovery, i bet you he will tell you that what you just said is the truth, that is the beginning of wisdom. |
Isn't the president the one ceremonial? or is it the prime minister that is ceremonial? |
jmslimx: I will keep preaching , Nigerian Youths are cowards and for this reasons our generations will weep unless we stand up and fight corrupt leaders.may the lord give you strength |
Pls, let me start with this, some people here believe that there is no solution to Nigeria problem, there are also people who believe that Nigeria would be better one day. Among the latter set of people there are those that just say it because they hear people they respect saying it, there are also the ones that say it because the have a prepared solution for the progress of the country of which is best known to them. Also, among the latter people there are the ones who have and do not have indepth understanding of the problem facing Nigeria. Most people have been brain-washed to the extent that when ever something is done contrary to what the read in their books they take actions like a baby without considering possible benefit it is to the society. I will continue to say this Nigeria will remain like this until the citizens of the country realise that they have to think like human. Which person in his right senses will say a pastor should not take drastic measure on a person who intentionally throws poo on the door step the pastor because he was begged with the name of the lord. Some times the more i see Nigerians thinking like babies the more i think of the year Nigerians would be able to come together as people who knows the problem of the country, wants the progress of the country, deviced means to make the country progress, and have come in one voice to say enough is enough. To all Nigerians who are willing for the growth of this country, let us help our fellow brothers who have been blind folded by spreading this information to them by any available means. Let them know that the solution to the country problem is on ground but they are the one delaying action. |
Zutchy: This not about looking pathetic but about the truth of the whole issue, during the time of Jesus Christ, the Jews (his people)were enslaved,in most cases they were not granted their rights by their masters, the Romans, even their king Herod was so corrupt and self conceited, but never for ones did Jesus raise his voice against them,or is there anywhere in your bible where Jesus ever said to the people that Herod or even th Romans who were oppressing his people would be swept away, did he ever call on the people to rise up and make a violent change, instead he asked them to submit to authority, even Paul asked the people to exercise good citizenship, now these were men of God,all Jesus had to do was open his mouth and talk and fire would have burnt every single roman, every single corrupt official even Herod himself would not have been spared, and then now we have Tunde bakare,he calls himself a man of God and yet he mounts a podium and tells his congregation to sing down down Jona, I mean WTF,if this was oyedepo, oyakhilome,or even T.B Joshua who are all real men of God it would have been better but not Tunde Bakare that ran for VP,I mean does the man not have real friends to tell him to stay quiet.if he wants to critisce the govt do so as the opposition not from the pulpit when we all know that whenever his oga(Buhari) calls,he will return back to the electioneering trenches with all speed and haste.the man is just the height of hypocrisy and sycophancy period. |

Which way Nigeria!!!!which way. Pls, lets take a movement for the growth of the country as independent of whatever you do in other activities. |
jaybee: you are missing the point. you acn not cure nigeria by on the computer. tell me what can you do? you don't have the power to do it. let Jonathan and all those who have been given the power do it. we have relinquished our power tom him and all other elected and appointed officials. he begged for it; he got it. now he can't do nothing with the power. and you are expecting us to do what we dont have power to dojay bee, its true but there is strength in our number. If a vast majority of Nigeria should stand up and say no to this nobody can stop us. This should be a movement by the masses not popular people to be our voice. I hope we have learnt a lot from the subsidy protest, it was well planned by the government it was a situation of the masses needed time to shout lets give them that time. As for the leaders of a thing, a person with a stick wanting to pick a cloth infested with black ant throws the stick into a pit. How do you expect the person to achieve his aim? Either way he does it he is going to pass through a situation which would have been uncalled for. |
Let me contribute my piece from my pool of knowledge, when ever you want to kill a plant you uproot it from the root. All previous suggestion are going to be efficient in curtailing our problem, but the question is are we uprooting it from its root or we are just cutting the branches of which we know will grow later on. Let us take our time to relate nagative things that has happened to us since the inception of this entity Nigeria to know the root of our problem. It takes a sensible, realistic who has put it as a task to know this. |
Walecole74: I never liked Obasanjo as a leader but he did what Buhari could not achieve in 1999. Sacking of the generals in which Buhari was indicisive would have saved Nigeria in the hands of unknown soldiers who ruined our political system from 1984-1998the sacking of those generals was political, it was to avoid possible rebellion against his government. Haven't you wondered how we are still leaving in this mess with an able milatary, it is because those their are loyal to his government. Just my notion. |

This is called distractions. They are diverting our attention from important matters making us spend our time on less important things. Pls, lets contribute to the cure of nigeria problem by posting our sincere contribution to the thread titled 'A CURE TO NIGERIA PROBLEM'www.nairaland.com/974820/cure-nigeria-problem |
Ileke-IdI:your phenomenon would have been correct if nigeria problem was of unknown origin |
Baba oh! |
afam4eva: The problem of Nigeria is cumbersome and i want to believe most people will say that the solution is to fight corruption, tribalism etc. Yeah, those are our problems but how to solve those problems is where the problem lies.i think you are making sense but let us remember that we are looking for an everlasting solution to the problem. Dont you think great divergent view in the youths is one major factor hindering this move to be succesful |
Let me start, i think the problem of this country is from the youths. Some of us have a fake history in their hands and are not ready to listen to other people. What do you think? |
Pls, this thread is for those who are willing to find a lasting solution to the problem facing Nigeria. Threads with similar motives has been created but has yeilded no result due to people dropping different sugessions which lead to no consension at the end. So to avoid this, i have decided that each sugession should be doctored by us before we proceed to the next suggestion. Pls, lets avoid insult we are all here to learn. Cheers!!! Lets begin |
Konjour: People and their warped sense of thinking. No wonder such a terrorist group holds much sway. Can anyone on here choose one in the Oil vs Peace conundrum? In my opinion, the average Nigerian lives much worse off than a citizen of most non-oil producing countries FFS. If an intervention from the US Government reinstates peace and neutralizes a terrorist group that kills Nigerians every sunday,am i gonna be effing bothered about the Oil? Hell no! You can only enjoy the benefits of the Oil if you're alive and at peace anyway, but even while the citizenry were still at peace, the benefits of the Oil have never been forthcoming, innit? God damn the Oil! Who gives a f/u/c/k? Prolly twats who can't fathom what threat Afghanistan would have posed to World Peace today if the Taliban were still being given a free hand to operate. SMHare you human at all? So you are justifying the killings done by american in afganistan? Have you ever thought of how it the country was before and how it is now? Have you ever thought of the damage that has been done to their land? Or is it because the americans are hiding the terrible things the have caused from the media? Is it not thesame america that their citizen can never be killed in another country even if he was caught killing another person? No matter how thirsty you are you should neer drink from a womans pot who wish you evil. |
oiseworld: so what about the dronnes? Labelling them a terriorist group has nothing to do with dronnes. Over 50+ died within sunday and today, and they were not killed by US dronnes. The US should label the entire group a terriorist group and not just 3 of them. And take neccessary action against them, their sponsors and host.people seize to learn from other people's mistake. |
crusifis: u sound like a boko haram sympathizer. i believe our security system is compromised, so the best thing is for a neutral security system (usa) to be involved.and get dis shit out of ur country once and for aallguy, dey carefull of what you wish for yourself |
Dipwater: If u like treat me like a king, like ur boss or ur best friend if I don't wanna be nice ,there is nothing u can do to change me.but if I am in luv,I will even lick ur feet to make u happy .its beta to be in a relationship with a guy dat trully luvs uthats the truth but later if you are denied this respect from her, your love will be a mistake |
deols: I have always thought feminism is a cheat on women.love this |
Teenaba: This takes the award for the most senseless post on earth. Dear Lawd!!!! How does this relate to the issue raised. We are discussing age compatibility for Pete's sake!!!pls, don't be to fast to condemn, if you had followed earlier discussions i had you might understand where am heading to. |
queensmith: Please try and make more sense, can you give us exact examples and explain these demands. and how that little age difference is all of a sudden going to mean nobody is satisfied?since you really want to get words out of my mouth. I hope you would be sincere with your self: lets start with this, when a man have a wife who can't cook or better still cook rubbish is been subjected to eating his wife food visit his friends house, having eating the delicious food enquiries who cooked the food the food and was told its his friend wife. And you know a normal thing in men the friend tries pulling the man leg saying 'this is what i have been enjoying all this while or haven't you eating such a delicious meal for a long time'. How do you expect the man to react? What do you expect him to do? Pls, be sincere |
naijaking1: I take you in good faith, that you lack information to make a good decision. Which part of this story makes you suspect GEJ and OBJ to be behind this saga? The part where Lawan willfully went to Otedola's house, threatened him in person and over the phone, or the part where Lawan were stuffing dollar into all orifices of his body, or the part where Lawan refused to tell other house members, or the part where Lawan refused and denied ever recieving bribe until he was told it was marked moneyfrom of point of view you have called farook, a fool who is unaware of modern technology |
Until Nigerians realize this we are going nowhere. See how a serious issue of theft has been turned into an entertainment for citizens, although am not surprised it has been a drama series right from the beginning. |
Another Okija: Demands like?!there are some aspect of a mans life where when you are not satisfactory to him, all other things you do are also not satisfactory to him, that is when all what you are mentioning will come to play |
Another Okija: Thats for shallow guys and I am not one.. Plus she looks just fine.. And sweet 16s dont run in my circlewhen i used ' sweet sixteen' i meant try to make her look young. But time will surely tell. |
queensmith: o do tell how that 1.5 years is going to severely affect his outgoing personality?on a neutral ground I would have wanted you to ask him how he is feeling later but to be sincere with you she won't be able to meet up to his demand. |
Aro Okigbo: God bless you for writing nothing but the truth. Those who think otherwise should just be READY for the REALITY in the later stages of their marriages.it is the truth you said, even with this age gap that's between both of you she won't be able to give you in as much satisfaction you need. |
