In such a way dat it'll work on a dvd player or do u need an empty dvd

If you want to burn movies,it is better you use an empty DVD because of it 's size. DVD's=4.7GB while Cd's=700MB.And the average .avi movie file is about 700MB.
Burn your movie files in the .avi format or you can alternatively get a good burning software like Nero or Roxio. You can Google the web for them.
