Andriod 2.2 (Froyo) does it on all devices!. As for the best apps being on the iphone i can't deny that (being an iphone guy as well). If only Oga Jobs can be more open minded with the device(and i'm not talking about jail-breaking here).

This  is becos the apple appstore is the best in the world.there are apps for almost anything from to Turning the iphone to a wireless hotspot,Quick office(microsoft office,excel,powerpoint),Cool 3D games,Playing all types of videos(avi,mkv,divx,e.t.c),photo editting tools,The whole Qur'an with voice,using my iphone as a remote for powerpoint presentations(efizzy ) to mention a few.

In fact,i have apps worth almost $250 and guess what

Oga Prince the Andriod does the 3G Hotspot Thingy by default! No need for 3rd Party apps. . The Iphone is still a Wicked Device anytime any-day though.

I am using Glo on mine and it works like a charm. First of all make sure you subscribe to one of their Data Plans ( I use the 1.5GB Always Min Plan), then use the settings apn=gloflat, username=flat and password=flat. It should work cos mine does.

So na this bunch of confused people just dey do advert for everywhere anyhow? Psheww!

Im planing to buy a dreambox satellite reciever and it would be requiring internet connectivity {na piracy i wan use am do sha}.
I have been on google since 11pm wit my 3110c wit the help of SOCKET wit etisalat buh i dnt tink i saw any "efficient" answer.

If i understand you correctly,you want to connect your MTN Modem to a Router,then access the Modem through the Router from you PC right?

Used the internet for the first time sometime in 2001. I was inspired when a Friend of my Brother called me a 'Computer Illiterate' for not knowing what 'Chatting' was. I was so vexed that i gathered some cash and begged a neighbor of mine who was supposedly skilled in the act to accompany me to the nearest Cafe in order for him to teach me this act. On getting there i found out that both if us where in the exact same boat!   . We where both confused on how to use the mouse. At the end of the day i was the one who finally figured out how to get the mouse moving and a they say, 'The Rest is History'! . I thank God for bringing me thus far,i thank the Lord for the internet!

Bros me i never leave you behind o!!The phone just happened to 'fall' in my laps and it is not the one you are thinking of . This one has a 600MHZ Qualcomm Processor,512MB ROM and 256MB RAM running on Froyo. Loving the phone.

Presently using An Andriod Phone (Name withheld) with Andriod 2.2 (Froyo) installed and i must say it is simply awesome. . Coming from the iphone world, i can confidently say that Andriod is the only real challenger that the ios has.

Oga Lynx so na you dey clog the network all this while abi? . i came very close to destroying my modem cos the stuff seems to have a mind of its own. The stuff just dey revert to 1X anyhow and disconnects at random. Lucky for me i have a Router now that does all the reconnecting wahala .

There is no way that Nairaland can fight Google.  We rely on them too much to take that stance. 
Google is already a top 3 website in Nigeria and, at best, Baraza will only help them maintain that position.
