Are they all 'religious thrillers' then? And yes I do like reading |
I have only read Da vinci Code. Definitely not reading another of his books in a hurry. Hullabaloo about nothing |
Petals of Blood by Nguigi wa Thiongo (I am sure I messed the spelling up) |
295 million. Is that the going rate for ex lecturers now? Might go for that Phd soon |
If that is u in the pic and u are a nun. I am turning Catholic quick ![]() Aint that serena? scratches head |
It is perhaps because of this so clear vitality ebos that I wonder why you guys keep getting yourself worked up. Igbos have proved very enterprising despite shall we say trying circumstances. Igbos have not had a President, but it never stopped them forging ahead. A Yoruba man became President, hardly anything it did for me and majority of my tribe. I know it is meant to give me some pride but it doesn't. All it has given me is the hassle of people telling me my tribesman was responsible for messing up the country for eight years. What we need is a decentralised system that will allow each part of the country to address its problems based on the resources it can muster, whether human or material. And enuff already about the perils of war. Those who have a right to gripe are the dead ones. Unfortunately they cannot so you guys shut up already. |
If alves does go to Chelsea. Their squad becomes a lot less lopsided. IF Paulo Ferreira had turned out the way he was supposed to their attacking game would have benefited greatly hitherto Mourinho's teams can get narrow sometimes, so there is a heavy stress on the left and right backs to provide width. With Ashley Cole and Alves. It gets interesting |
Jackal does have a point. Man U do have the best squad in the premiership at the moment. This will only change if the acquisitions made by Chelsea last season come thru(Sheva and Ballack) |
Whether you fail to win with a franchise player on board is not the issue. The issue is, irrational as it is, Sports of any kind seem to always get reduced to little nuggets of time, where it seems the results of the game are at stake. It is at this crunch time that teams expect their 'franchise players to step up, and many players often come up with the goods either by assisting or scoring. They are often accorded special attention because they pose a threat. Think of these instances- Gerrard scoring against Olympiakos in the C/League Beckham providing great setpieces to win the C/League final And my all time greatest soccer performance- Rivaldo coming up with the hatrick to secure C/league qualification for Barca I am afraid I don't see anybody at Arsenal that has the same capacity for such an accomplishment. To counter, what you could do is name me a team which has won anything without such a player. |
Well I wouldn't say he is necessarily pro french. I would echo Fergusson's views on this, that Wenger has simply exploited his intimate knowledge of French football. But Jackal you must admit that they are less conspicuous at Arsenal than in the past. Benitez has also used his knowledge of spanish football, but far less successfully I would suggest. |
The whole thing is funny tho. All at once it seems our politicians are repenting. Now if only they can leave our money alone |
Lol So Ono said that? Men, you guys seem to get worked up over these things. |
Nigerian men living in Nigeria must have little joysticks That is how they concoct all this chauvinistic schemes ![]() |
@Loyika Well that is not all over for the franchise analysis. How can you forget Peyton Manning of the Colts, the highest paid, record breaking quarterback. If he is not a franchise player, then the phrase loses all relevance |
No that was a riposte to your question 'HOW MUCH DO THEY WANT AGAIN' |
Anyone got any pics then? Funky name tho Tonto rhymes with. Oh never mind |
Is she fine? |
Is she fine? |
Hello belligerent folks, I want to hear your viewpoint on the abscence of the Biafra war in our curriculum. I thought it disgraceful once, but after the divisiveness which it has raised in this forum, i am beginning to see the wisdom in the idea. What do you guys think? |
@fynewaka fat chance of that happening ![]() |
This is so much jokes. I have lived in England for almost a decade now and I have never met any Englishman or woman argue over the ins and outs of their language. On Nairaland it seems a daily occurence. |
@denex how about all the oil ![]() |
i thought this issue had been rinsed on another thread |
@Jackal As a serial Man U hater, I was scared about the prospects for the season. But after the Charity shield, I am at ease. With a threat upfront, Chelsea would have caused more problems to go with their possession on Sunday. @Loyika Arsenal on the other hand still look lightweight. They need a go to guy, someone of stature. In America they call that the 'franchise player'. It seems everyone is looking to RVP TO STEP UP. Only time will tell I guess |
I am glad he was able to do it in front of his home fans. As per his image, it is obvious that white ppl dont like him becos he has this attitude problem, and doesn't present the clea cut image of say a Ken Griffey Jr. They still pefer us to be docile, smiley minstrel niggers. But when a white sportsman displays the same attitude, he is extolled as some anti hero 'hero' (if you get my drift) |
These are the tracks. They are all funk influenced with a quite exquisite Nigerian touch. I hope you guys like them as much as I do. http://rapidshare.com/files/47660782/001_-_bola_johnson_-_lagos_sisi.mp3.html Bola Johnson exhibits some of the comedic talent he utilised in his future career in this tune. http://rapidshare.com/files/47660783/002_-_dr-_victor_olaiya_s_international_all_stars_-_omeleble.mp3.html Victor Olaiya's sobriquet is the evil genius. He got a Phd playing Highlife music!!! http://rapidshare.com/files/47660784/006_-_stephen_osita_amaechi___his_afro-rhythm-skies_-_afro_baby.mp3.html I absolutely adore this track. Very 'danceable'. http://rapidshare.com/files/47660785/008_-_the_martins_brothers_dance_band_-_ochonma.mp3.html http://rapidshare.com/files/47660786/005_-_orlando_julius___his_afro_sounders_-_mura_sise.mp3.html http://rapidshare.com/files/47660787/007_-_the_don_isaac_ezekiel_combination_-_ire.mp3.html http://rapidshare.com/files/47660788/011_-_thorny_shorby_nyenwi_-_no_wrong_show.mp3.html |
Even if Fashola did not expressly give the orders, should we not take his silence as tacit consent. Besides he is meant to be in the know abt the gros unconstitutionality of these arrests, as he is a SAN and all. |
@ono I don't know why you guys always stoop down to the level of tribalism when it comes to discussing these matters. So what if Asari is released and Uwazuiruike is still in prison. Is it meant to be some sort of badge of credit because the released man happens to come from your neck of da woods. It is quite likely that one of the bullets of these militants that you so extol puts you in grave danger, and quite ironic that a Yoruba or Ibo doctor be the one that saves you. |
@denex you know all that stuff about elephants playing, and the grass suffering. I dont think the Marshall Isalnders will appreciate my humor though |
gbagura/ogun state |
@Xris But Ono is a Niger Deltan. This is the gift God endowed their land with. Imagine telling a Saudi to not talk about oil. Especially as he is being denied the benefits |
