mckellenkins:Hi If Advice is what you truly seek. Then the best thing to do is always be on the path of truth. Yes, your CAS may be denied, but you need to know the school is also doing that because they think the VISA may be rejected and not to despise you. The reason for rejection always plays a key role. The worst scenario is you go the path of lying and forfeiting your deposit as in the case of some schools (Thier Policy) and you also get a 10-year BAn for false information or declaration. So my ADVICE to you is to apply to many schools and be sincere. We have seen cases worse than yours and they have been given admission and visas without any further queries. So Play it smartly before you take a leap of FAITH. |
djshegzy2022:To avoid complications, submit what is written in your CAS document...if you do not have more than 5 years of study GAP it's best to keep it simple. Additional documents MAY attract other clarifications. So my advice is to keep it simple if your application is straightforward. If the ECO feels there is a need then you will be required to submit such. My MA finished in 2017 and applied last year and her school insisted she submitted what was written in her CAS. She got her VISA without any study gap request. |
Dy12345:Congratulations!!!. You do not have to panic. Pregnancy is not a barrier as long as you plan for the challenges it may bring but if your fear is for admission and Visa refusal..I don't think so. From personal experience, my MA was 4 months pregnant when she did her tuberculosis and she declared she was pregnant. It was stated on her tuberculosis that she was pregnant. She submitted it to the uni when asked and she got her CAS she also applied with the same document and she is in the UK now. The major thing to focus on is her genuineness to study and all other requirements are met for both the CAS and the VISA. Ensure she travels as early as possible though depending on the EDD to avoid drama with Airline or Port of Entry. |
JemmyO:You welcome and congrats once again. |
JemmyO:Hi You do not need to worry. Just be on the lookout for it. The fact that your Visa Starts on the 12th is not the reason you are yet to get it. My visa is still on the 18th and I got it the 5th day after biometrics. So it Varies. Please do not panic. My MA's BRP mail dropped on the 17th Jan and she collected her passport on the 11th of Jan 2023. |
horkami:Congratulations!!! LOL. Thank God you rechecked. Most people expect the sticker to be in the first few pages .....it could be placed anywhere on your passport as long as the page is blank. |
pramil:Congratulations!!! |
JemmyO:Congratulations !!! No cause for Alarm BRP Mail incoming be on the look out . |
bamangar:Your show of POF is to demonstrate you have the required maintenance fund for the stipulated period expected of you. You dont need to create a scenario to justify your account if its your account truly. I have people who had 4 transactions over a 3 month period so be rest assured that your transaction volume is not a guarantee of your 10 points for POF. The major things to be wary of is the authenticity of the account if verified and the validity of the expected funds meeting the UKVI standard so you are not asked to show a recent statement after submitting your application. Best of luck. |
zanebaddo:You dont need to panic the actual cost will be made known to you when you submit your application form .Please note that for 18 months course it automatically means 22 months which is 2 years so in Pounds you are right for 940 and if the dollar rate to pound is 1500 USD then both of you are correct. Like I said the actual cost will be revealed to you when you fill the correct answers in the IHS segment of the Visa Application form processing. Best of Luck |
heykims:There is a time frame for everything you mentioned and note Your Sponsor(the school) determines a lot of things you raised. Your CAS has a 6 months Validity Mostly issued 3 months before School's Resumption date You can Apply for your VISA 3 months before the start date of your course Your VISA Vignette will have a Validity of 3 months from the date of issuance and if you don't travel within that period you will make another request to transfer your VISA. Mind you your School is your sponsor and would be responsible for your stay in the UK so the analogy of you arriving 6 months after getting your VISA is taking the school's resumption date or enrollment date for granted and your School could withdraw your CAS and in turn, invalidate your VISA before the 6 months you referencing. Only what is written in your CAS in terms of start date matters not what you intend to do. You can not arrive 6 weeks before because you have a program. If such a program is from your school then it will be written in your CAS if not you are on your own. |
a4cube:The VISA fee I paid was in USD and it was 456 USD but before then you would pay IHS fees based on the duration left of the MA's stay and other parameters. The cost will be made known to you after filling out your VISA form. The only fee refundable is the IHS fee in the case of a refusal. |
Peterdapox:Yes you right TLS Ikeja was scanty today. The Empty NSF mail was just for one of the applicant I sense it was just an auto mail as it dint delay the processing time. The bank Statement was not raised I used my account afresh and no inflow from the MA's account but i dont know why it wasn't raised . I was ready to respond if it did. I had to load them with documents ooo so if they want to raise anything they should have an alternative to it. |
HabbyY:No I did not. I was surprise also at the response time even with an empty NSF for one of the applicants. |

Wakando:NO it does not affect any chances with any other school you applied to. |
chigosman:By the gate, they just need your appointment letter from TLS With your international passport to let you in. Once you are in you need just 3 things With your International Passport 1. A copy of your appointment letter from TLS (please just the first page) 2. The first page of your checklist (don't bother with the other pages) 3. A photocopy of your Data page (this will be attached to your collection slip) Only assisted service requires the full pages of the checklist. |
Tboy243:please read these lines to see if it applies to you. If you appeal or ask for an administrative review If you applied from: inside the UK - you’ll get your refund up to 6 weeks after your appeal or administrative review is dismissed outside the UK - you’ll get your refund up to 6 weeks after your visa application is refused You’ll have to repay the IHS if your appeal or administrative review is successful and you’ve already got your IHS refund. You might have to repay a different amount if: the length of your stay changes you get less time on your visa than you asked for Contact UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) if your refund is not paid within 6 weeks. |
Goodbetterbest:Hello, I sent you a direct message because we have similar scenario. From screenshot visible ,they seem to be focused on eliminating recycled funds and that is the focus of their question which is confusing you since you had proven your POF during your time .The best scenario is to meet their specific request of showing the total funds for all .The other scenario must come with an explanation of what you have made payment for with proof since you got to the UK .I did not use the main applicants account for my application so I am not sure if I will get same mail .Which ever way one must be prepared to prove non-recycled funds the best way you can and hope they act positively. Best of luck while you await other people's comment on the matter. |
Osebebe22:No matter the currency your debit/credit card is, as long as its Mastercard, visa or any acceptable debit/credit card it will work for the payment. For as long as there is no local restriction like our dear naija own it will automatically convert the currency to the equivalent dollar or pound required using DCC (dynamic currency conversion). The answer in short is Yes. The cards will work. I hope this answers your question. |
bemagnify:The Answer to your question is in the question it self. The moment you are referencing 6 months or less then the IHS fee is set to 0. However, you need to be careful about how you answer the questions that lead to the zero .If it is found that you gave wrong answers you may be queried or penalized as the case may be. From your question you have 6 months which means its ok to see zero. I hope this clarifies your concern.

rossydot:When you ask if it's Safe...do you mean if it's feasible or possible? Yes, many couples have done this before successfully. As long as you both are in the UK you can apply later for the kids provided you meet all the conditions required for their VISA. |
Peterdapox:Question 1. The IHS calculation will be revealed to you once you get to the IHS payment section where it will ask you some questions and the correct answers you give will form the basis of the cost each applicant will be charged based on your VISA type. Question 2. If you are applying almost immediately after the applicant say less than 3 months, you may need to prove you did not recycle the MA's Pof for your application and this can be done either by uploading the bank statement like you suggested and/or using other proof of payments made by the MA in the UK e.g accommodation, school fees, major expenses that show she has been spending money and in turn, couldn't be the same money you are using. I am not sure if the main applicant bank's statement is needed at the port of entry but if you have access to it you can hold it just in case. Hope this clarifies your questions. |
temmyblaze001:The person is correct. You do not need to provide any COVID test result leaving the country. |
Etsetemi88:Personally, I think its a bit too early even though it expires after 6 months which may be OK for you but it's better to be patient to ensure its validity last more than expected. Push it to around MAY if you can. |

ugwukcee:Sorry to hear about your circumstance. Just address the reason for refusal with a cover note or the space given in the application to state your own side of the story and avoid getting emotional in your tonation so as not to digress from your aim which is to make the NEW ECO handling your application understand the reason and focus on the current application in front of him.I always advise people to focus on what is ahead and try not to waste any energy making people feel their pain because some of this pain was inflicted deliberately or otherwise. Stay focused..... and use the lessons learned to get it right this time. |
Boss0003680501:you must request your decision letter mail before you reapply to enable you address whatever was raised if any. |
Boss0003680501:Sorry to hear about your circumstance. As an IT person, I will say these types of issues can arise from either their side with error sending the mail or resending it if it came back due to any error from your side. Also, from your end, were you able to get any mail from them throughout your application process? e.g Application mail, payment mail, confirmation mail, etc this will show they have the right email syntax for your application in their server since most of this mail is sent Automatically using 3rd party apps. Your response above it shows you were vigilant enough to see the mail if it actually came through hence my question on if you have ever gotten mail from the UKVI application process. |
Goodbetterbest:Nice to have the passports back. 1. The 2 Months statement is better for show of continuity as long as the last 28days still has the required funds and not lesser within the last 28 days 2. For Appointment its per applicant but you can use flexi or walk-in for you to attend together and no Priority for Dependant visa application as at now NB: The rejection given in the first refusal should not be overlooked and you must make a statment to show you have addressed it with this current application and not just expect the new ECO to understand . Good Luck |
dewale1234:This link will answer your question properly https://www.gov.uk/transfer-visa#:~:text=You%20cannot%20use%20a%20valid,with%20a%20biometric%20residence%20permit. |
