A sincere prayer of a man willing to serve his people, he humbled himself in the sight of God pleading for his mercy and directives on how to move our country forward. This man is really sent my God to help us out of the situations we find ourselves today. God answer his prayer, and put his enemies to shame cause you chose him.
PoliticsRe: Otedola/Lawan $620K Bribery Scandal Probe Hits Dead End by Dpeacemaker101: 8:40am On Jun 28, 2012
Something is really going on here, the man he claimed to have given the money to is denying it, and everyone he claimed he reported to( the IG and EFCC boss) are not in agreement with that, so he is not telling us the truth, he should save himself the stress and say the truth rather than involving the presidency with these. If his hands are clean, he would have written a special report on this , or tabled it to the floor of the house. He collected the bribe and deleted the companies name from the report, my people that says it all.

fork adict: Na God go punish you dis boy!

If you have been blind since the day you were born does not make others blind too. I for one, and many other posters here told your stoooooooopid, idio.tic, confused and cluelessssss boss that increasing the pump price of fuel was not the way forward. That he should fight corruption in the oil sector. You were one of the people who claimed that the best way to deal with corruption in the oil sector was to increase the pump price of petrol. now if i ask you, wasn't the increase just meant to inflict unnecessary hardship on hapless nigerians?

Your i.diotic boss emptied the treasury just to fund the 2011 presidential elections. That is why you and many other nigerians are so scared of naija having an honest man as our presido cos you know what will happen to your likes. No wahala. 2015 is around the corner. By God's grace corrupt and asssslicking low lifes and parasites like you who survive on this country thru corruption will have to pack and relocate to Benin republic. Cos we will make you guys vomit every single naira you have stolen.
please beaf tell them ooo, Nigerians can be so deceived at times oo. GEJ is working so hard for the good of this country and some people would stop at nothing but criticize and blame him for anything.

Dudu_Negro: Jonathan is unsettled! Something is in the air and he doesn't want to be caught in it!!

The President of a nation besieged by terrorists should not spend this much time and with such frequency outside his own domain, particularly on admission that parts of his own nation are inaccessible to him.
how do you mean something is in their? Didn't you read the post properly, or don't you understand it. It is a one day official visit and he is to deliver a keynote address. Am sure if he was stil in the country, you would still talk. Nigerians....

PoliticsRe: GEJ Is A Joke & Clueless - Ghanaian Prof. Ayittey by Dpeacemaker101: 1:31pm On Jun 26, 2012
This professor and whatever he says he is,should concentrate more in his country. We have our issues, and so does every country. You don't live with us or know so much about our government more than we Nigerians. The declaration of assets should never be an issue, cause he can't do that openly due to the present situation of the country and the bombs goin off. The president is a target and as a matter of fact should be security conscious. So declaring his assets openly is just exposing him to security threat and we wouldn't want that to happen. If Ghanian president does that, sorry we won't and never declear assets publicly. GEJ, was given an assets declaration form before he got into office and I guess he filled the form, so if you are so keen on knowing the assets of the president, you should go to the apropriate authorities and request for it,and tell them what you need it for. I hope the Professor, can read the comments and suggestion on these. Let it not be that we talking to ourselves in here, and the man is in his country thinking he has hit GEJ .......cause he never did.
PoliticsRe: The President Lied! By Yinka Odumakin by Dpeacemaker101: 10:29am On Jun 26, 2012
sunjetg: My humble suggestion to mr President-go learn how to present your speeches. It is obvious that the major problem mr president has is how to express himself with proper diction.Oratory ability is one of the attributes of any great leader. The presidency is a big office and should not be occupied by people who are still learning.
do you want him to start reading from a script, he is been open and realistic . For Christ sake, it is suppose to be a PRESIDENTIAL MEDIA CHAT, if you understand what that means and not a PRESIDENTIAL BROADCAST. Hope you can spot the difference.
PoliticsRe: The President Lied! By Yinka Odumakin by Dpeacemaker101: 10:19am On Jun 26, 2012
There is really nothing Mr. President would say, that some Nigerians would not find fault in. I really want to ask, what is the job of the ministers and public officer holders in curbing crime and peaceful running of this country. I understand that some individuals have been appointed to do or carry out some operations in different areas of the economy and the president will only make sure that these things are done. Nigerian problems have accumulated since independence till today, even the Buhari and others that want to rule us again failed this country and are the major players of the corruption in this country, your so called Tunde Bakare should remember that he is a servant of God and should be truthful to it, cos he would be held accountable for misleading other Nigerians. You don't expect GEJ to solve the problem of the country within a twinkle of an eye, we don't we even mention names of past presidents and their performances, GEJ is jus started as a president and everyone blames him for problems caused by others. It is just so unfair.
PoliticsRe: How Would You Rate GEJ's Presidential Media Chat? by Dpeacemaker101: 1:27pm On Jun 25, 2012

PoliticsRe: GEJ Presidential Media Chat - Live Channels TV by Dpeacemaker101: 8:45pm On Jun 24, 2012
Its amazing when people would not bother listening to what the president would have to say and later come up with irrational speeches and comments on NL. Please, think and listen before you say what you don't know.
PoliticsRe: GEJ Presidential Media Chat - Live Channels TV by Dpeacemaker101: 8:39pm On Jun 24, 2012
The president has assured us of a better nigeria, in all sectors of the economy and has no issues appearing @ the national assembly, that is enough to tell every reasonable citizen of this country that GEJ is committed to the good course of this nation and is willing to lead our good country to the promised land. We should ignore oppositions who try to make this an issue and mislead our fellow country men. One year is still early to start making blames and unconstructive criticisms, he has started it and he has promised to do better things.

PoliticsHow Not To Criticize The Transformation Agenda. by Dpeacemaker101(op): 12:35pm On Jun 16, 2012
[b]Some Nigerians under estimate the ability of our President, while some others will go to any length to see the failure of this administration by deceiving the good people of this country with their publication. Some of these individuals have been given opportunities to save this great nation in various high offices and they failed woefully,to console themselves of their failures they sit in the comfort of their homes and offices to write up publications that will distract  our people from the truth. Am not saying that anyone is perfect, because it has been made clear that only God is perfect. If a man has refused to follow the way of the world, and do things that would benefit his fellow country men in all ramifications, shouldn't we applaud and support him rather than find all necessary means to pull him down(discredit him)? GEJ is not a magician or a miracle worker that will fix all things with a snap of his fingers,Nigeria is a complex Nation With very complex issues and a very diversified nationality. There is only one Nigeria with our own problems and definitely we would have to come up with our own solutions.
Nigerians have to learn to be patient and steadfast in prayers to make our great nation work, the man has vowed to work and we can see him doing that in all areas of the economy from the power sector, agricultural sector,Education, security, employment and all others. Recently, our able President has introduced a new visa policy that will enable entry and exit of individuals  and investors into the country for investment purposes. He introduced investment or skill transfer visa category, whereby if you have a particular level of investment you want to do in Nigeria,  that  can add value to the economy of the country, you can be issued a certain category of visa, which is intended to secure employment for the unemployed citizens of our country.
The rehabilitation of the Ugheli power plants in Delta State, which is expected to provide 100mega watts of electricity to the area, and over 10 new power plants under construction and some been commissioned all over the country.
Brother Jonah, has also approved procurement of an electronic platform for the National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS) to ease the stress of communication with service providers and customers.this wil improve the speed of health business, improve documentation of reports,    enable third parties who may want to source information  to get them easily and faster.
He has also reviewed the commissioning of the Obajana cement plant during the week, which will fall in line with the transformation agenda and economic diversification programme planned to set Nigeria, self sufficient in cement production therefore making us exporters of cement to every part of the world. These are but a few of the transformation programmes by Mr. President. You can get full details of these projects here: www.bpp.gov.

PoliticsRe: Reps Cut Short Holiday Over Bribery Scandal by Dpeacemaker101: 11:00am On Jun 14, 2012
dedeike: . This post was obviously done in extreme bad faith. What did Gej do to you again? A member of House of Reps, who prides himself as a leader of integrity, went behind to collect bribe at the residence of an oil marketer. Jonathan never sent him to do so. Neither did Gej assist him with the vehicle that he used to convey himself to adenuga's house at midnight to collect $600,00 dollars. The truth remains that GEJ has shown a demonstrable courage to fight corruption in Nigeria. But it's unfortunate that the northern power bloc who are displeased with his present tenancy in Aso rock is really working hard to whip up hatred against him . Unlike other presidents, Gej is the only president that doesn't throw money at the National Assembly to push his policies thru. If it were obj during the subsidy debate, we would have had gist of Ghana must go spreading around the lawmakers and subsidy would have sailed thru easily. Go and verify. Lawmakers were paid as much as 40 million before GEJ but when Gej came he reduced it to 15m quarterly before the lawmakers jerked it up in the 2012 budget to 29m quarterly. GEJ personally directed the EFCC to go after Bankole and prosecute him for the 10 billion loan scandal. When GEJ noticed that Farida was incompetent and so many graft cases were being mishandled, he sacked Farida and replaced her with Lamorde who is believed to have worked as second in command to Ribadu. It was this same Gej that signed the FOI bill into Law, a legislation which is a veritable instrument for the fight against corruption by a press that knows its onions. Thru the minister of finance, Gej's administration has been able to integrate online payment systems for all Ministries! Departments and Agencies. This govt is undertaking bio metric evaluation of workers in federal service, an exercise that exposed the monumental corruption in police pension. It was as a result of this move that the senate pensions probe was kick started. And unlike what obtained in the past, those indicted so far have been charged to court. following revelations at the subsidy probe, GEJ could not even wait for the report to come out before he set up a presidential task force to handle oil revenue. He appointed his opponent in the presidential elections in the person of Ribadu to head such committee. Which other president has or can display this selfless courage? Not done, he engaged Olisa Agbakoba , Udo Udoma And other experts in the private sector to formulate the PIB ahead of the full deregulation of the oil sector. It is believed that full deregulation will divest govt of control of the oil sector and thus curb corruption. GEJ's govt has offered the atmosphere for all kinds of probes to be initiated in the system. GEJ is not the kind of president who will want to bulldoze anybody into submission. Under this govt, you re free to initiate any probe whatsoever. To reduce. Corruption in the system, Gej is the first president to have set up a committee to cut down the number of parastatals in the country. on the issue of subsidy report, it's funny how some people have politicized it in order to get at GEJ. Unlike previous govts in the past, this govt accepted a report from the National Assembly and even directed the Attorney General to review it and take necessary steps with the relevant anti graft agencies. But the opposition will hear none of that. Gej must enforce the report immediately as pronounced by lord justice Farouk lawan. Where on earth does the executive jail people on account of an inquiry undergone solely by the legislature without recourse to laid down judicial process. It's so funny. Imagine the kind of injustice that would have manifested if Gej had heeded the mob call for Deziani's sack in the light of the present scandal rocking the probe committee. Now any right thinking person would appreciate that it would have been very hasty for GEj to undertake an immediate implementation of recommendations based on a report submitted by a committee chairman, who talks tough in the afternoon and nicodemusly crawls to the residence of those under his probe at night to collect bribe.

It's so unfortunate that Lawan is in this present situation and can not even defend himself on this. If what he is saying is right, he should have spoken out before now. He should be investigated and if found guilty, the necessary action should be carried out on him. Maybe he was waiting for the probe to be over before he could start making use of the funds.
