Like i said before the red pill classifies men into either an alpha or beta. It was VOX that try to expand the classification ( a socio-sexual hierarchy). Both of the classifications are right but its not what is important.

A Sigma male is also an alpha male only that he is introverted and is on his own lane. Its all a label.

I prefer simplicity, to me Alpha and Beta dichotomy is better.

However, lemme explain something to you.

In game, men are divided into successful alphas and unsuccessful betas. However, VOX sees it as too simplistic and limiting, and as such expanded the Alpha-Beta dichotomy into a hierarchy that covers the broad spectrum of socio-sexuality.

The socio-sexual hierarchy classifies men into the following categories:

– Alpha: The Alpha is the tall, good-looking guy who is the center of both male and female attention. He is usually the loud, charismatic guy telling self-flattering stories to a group of attractive women who are listening with keen interest.

– Beta: The good-looking guy who isn't as uniformly attractive or socially dominant as the Alpha, but is nevertheless confident, attractive to women, and does well with them.

– Delta: Deltas are the average guys. They can't attract the most attractive women, so they usually aim for average women with minimal success, and stubbornly resist paying attention to all of the women who are comfortably in their league.

– Gamma: Gammas usually the unattractive, and all too often bitter.

– Omega: Omegas are very unfortunate and are the social losers.

– Lambda: Men who have quite literally no interest in conventional male-female sexual relations.

However, A Sigma male is best defined as the outsider who does not play the social game but manages to win it anyhow. He is a confident, independent, and charismatic man who plays by his own rules. This makes him equal to the Alpha. A Sigma male can also be said to be an introverted alpha.
