You still don't get it do you? Poor people exists whether you like it or not. Even now, do you tell the poor people around you to magically man up and fix their lives in a second?

In the eyes of the world, WE ARE POOR. And while we all hope that one day that our leaders will do the needful and grow, we are largely dependent on the largesse of our rich friends to survive NOW.

I am pretty sure that you get it and going forward, I will no longer say anything about this. Trump's policies will make the low and middle income countries even poorer. Whatever you think you are going through now will only get worse.

I hope we all are preparing for what's to come because it won't be pretty.

Pro Trumps, how are you all doing today? By the time Trump is fully done, many of you will wish that a different prlerson other than Trump is in power.

On the flip side, perhaps this will finally make us all sit up as a nation. However, I have little faith that our leaders will rise to the occasion. It is truly a sad situation.

I can see that my post has generated a lot of mixed feelings. The truth is a bitter pill to swallow. While we celebrate Trump from saving America from the clutches of moral decadence, let us equally embrace the harsh reality that his policies could plunge us all into abject penury and modern day slavery.

Equity is no longer the watchword here, but a pursuit of power and self-interest.

WHO is a non-governmental organisation and responsible for a large chunk of health initiatives that are free worldwide. The largest funder of this organisation is USA.

Now that the US has pulled out and others may follow, all hell will now be let loose. You may start paying for things that you took for granted eg immunization, TB drugs, HIV drugs etc. Now, you may be thinking, I don't need any of these so how does that affect me.

Well, the last time I checked, we do not exist in isolation. Every day, you must interact with people, same goes for your loved ones. Now imagine anyone of them being exposed to someone who is either a carrier or has an active infectious disease that couldn't be addressed due to lack of funds? What do you think will happen? And when they come visiting or interact with your kids etc, can you imagine where you as the sole provider will end up in? Can you now see how you may be affected by this?

I warned you all. Now sit back and watch how your lives will be adversely affected by these decisions. In case you can't fathom it, here are some of the ways

1. Health programs in Nigeria may get less money.
2. Disease outbreaks might be harder to control.
3. Vaccination campaigns could be disrupted.
4. Health safety measures might weaken.
5. Other countries might stop supporting WHO too.
6. Nigeria may need to handle more on its own.

It’s clear this decision will have far-reaching consequences for everyone.
