They have also been employing a flood the zone strategy.
Push everything out at once making it hard to fight and highlight everything.
And Democrats are generally weak anyhow, overly concerned about norms while Trump is flouting laws. Added to that is that they also don't have any real power for at least another 1.5 years when they can retake the House.

You are right, there's going to be long term damage to the US and it may take a decade to repair what he has already broken and it's only 2 months.

No, they were not tried.
Trump is saying they are gang members because he says they are gang members.
They may be in the end, but that is a terrible and dangerous precedent to set.
One of them could be innocent or even a US citizen the President is claiming is an alien gang member.
And none would have the ability to appeal Trump's decision.

I'm incredulous at the people defending this.

What I find shocking is the silence. Noone is speaking out or Is that a strategy? For how long will they continue to wait? I feel at this point that irreparable damage is being done to America. So, why the loud silence? What a time to be alive.

Were they tried at all in court?
