I just remembered this your initial post, I have a big problem with how you presented the issue. You were pointing the bold part at lionlee but the contrary seems to be the case and the arrow may even be pointing to you.

you can ask him those, he is in the best position to say why he has requested them, especially since he had initially chosen to take responsibility, for someone like him to turn back and request to cancel the full deal, something serious must have caused it.

I dealt with Mikky without him knowing me on nairaland(before ppl start saying, "because u be mod") and I was really astonished at the good treatment he gave me, even purchased item without initially collecting a dime etc etc, my point is, he is a nice guy irrespective of how much cash you're holding but there's a reason he puts up all those "thick skin", "I no send you" attitude. Those stuffs with IBL has my name on it, addressed to me and I have fully paid for it. I think there's just one way, the phones should be returned especially when the seller has requested for them back, both sides are losing, lionlee and olowobo, lionlee is losing cash, olowo would be losing profit and reputation and I guess some cash too.
The best thing is to keep records clean and returning the phone is the only way to achieve this. If SARS knocks your door and tells you that the phone with you is linked to a murder, would you claim ownership or you'll point them straight to where you got it? though this isn't a case of murder, obtaining under false pretens/fraud/intent to commit fraud is also a heavy crime

In the scenario described by omicpet and other related scenarios, a deal finder or a deal hunter has the job to search for "deals", advertises them and gets paid a commission which is determined by him or agreed upon by he and whoever "buys his deal and apart from searching for a deal, I believe he has the responsibility of giving full disclosure of all information in his possession about the deal to the deal buyer and also help the deal buyer in getting any other information the deal buyer requires from the real seller of the item, if he defaults in this, he may have some faults but not liable, he can only be liable when the deal buyer tries to source for more information about the item but he doesn't help in that regard. But if a deal hunter surrenders all information including the contact of the original seller to the deal buyer, then he has zero responsibility and can't be blamed or liable.

You should first spell out in clear terms the role of each person involved and also the type of commodity and sale being carried out.
