This is impressive if it is really the fact. I can even sell the 6 months old Haier Thermocool for cheap and add some money to get this.

But are you sure your 70 watts is not the recorded consumption on a 24 volt power inverter system in which case the wattage consumption recorded is always half of the actual AC rating of the appliance.


Please the name plate on the appliance will be more persuasive. I am itching to dump what I have for this power saving feat of a deep freezer.

By the way, below is the name plate of the Haier thermocool. Start up power draw is usually 167watt to 170watts. It then starts dropping and in less than 4 minutes, it drops to around 110 watts in most cases.

Good morning, my own battery reads about 12.40v when full, don't know why although I got the battery used and I think I am under utilizing my 260watts solar panel as I get a maximum of 12amps on a 12v system with a 30amp pwm cc. Do you think I should get a mppt cc as I think I should be getting like 20amps with that size of panel. The battery is a 12v, 200ah

Anyone who wants to set up a solar inverter system must invest some time in understanding how it works. Either by reading up or coming to a forum like this and seeking for the opinions of knowledgeable people. Many installers out there just took some few days or few weeks crash courses and start calling themselves experts. For me, I design my system based on my readings and information gathered from different sources and only get an installer to do the hard work of buying materials, climbing the roof, fixing the panels and connecting the wires. In Nigeria, you need to educate yourself to some degree before calling artisans or installers be it for your car, house appliances or solar, otherwise, some will turn you to an ATM and even destroy your things with their poor knowledge and then get you to pay for their costly mistakes.

Yes it is. Idle consumption is ~ 45w. The voltage selection is the Low voltage disconnect of 10.5 or 11 v(*2 for 24v).

Mustpower is good too, but I use Icellpower XX2 series, it is a decent inverter and have a good surge rating too. There is also the new model of 2.5kva, but I use the 2kva.

Hello, I would prefer 500 watts for a 12v 200ah battery, which implies that even with ur present setup, u cannot charge those batteries effectively(u should have about 1000watts). Pls, forget Phcn/grid, it doesn't exist here in Nigeria. So don't add four more batteries to make it 6 in total, those batteries will die prematurely.

I am actually spinning my head over this, sorry am a network engineer by profession. When you say PV input goes into the SPD I am confused, there was only 2 cables on each solar panel, am not sure there is an input to PV. If you don't mind, could you show me this diagrammatically?

Actually the flames I was referring to were tear nylon brand new . I have gotten used 300w from some seller on this thread in the past (won't mention name) but that was before I discovered that new ones are not as expensive out there.

Yes I have all those, so the cable coming from PV goes into the input, where do I get the cable to connect to my CC? I was thinking there will be output on the SPD that I will then put on my CC.
Please Pardon my questions am just a JJC on this stuff

Can you kindly show me image of how you connected your SPD from the PV to the CC, the SPD I have (which was a gift to me) has only input and I am not sure how to connect it. It's a type2 SPD:

Most people commenting here are being very one sided and that's probably because they are mostly sellers but this matter isn't as straightforward as you all are making it seem with your judgements. Sentiments have been applied which is Kulkid's fault. If you had opened the thread as a dispute resolution thread, you would have had the advantage but you called the OP a fraudster when all the evidence is against this allegation which makes you come across as bitter and having the intention of tarnishing the sellers image especially as you have gone on his threads labeling him a fraudster.... this is not a case of fraud, it's an after sales dispute. The seller is also not without blame and it's a marvel everybody else is making it seem like he is. Giving someone shelter does not make you mother Theresa and it would have been better to have kept the whole transaction strictly business, it doesn't take a genius to understand that if truly the battery was bought at 12k at a legit shop, it should be an option to take it back to the place of purchase and ask for a swap or refund but what Themonk is doing is pushing the responsibility to the buyer which is also understandable seeing as he didn't pay for the item once and might also have been nagging but the fact remains that emotions are not a necessity in doing business and in this case both parties are either right or wrong if judged fairly and the way forward is to come to a meaningful resolution.
