MacDaddy01: Yes, I am an atheist. Some people on this section already know that I was once drawn to Islam. I come from a christain background and after seeing the flaws of christianity, I dabbled in some islam. Unfortunately, I didnt find its arguments appealing after some research. Soon after leaving christianity, I had a muslim girlfriend but she failed in her efforts to convert me.


So I am here to give you a honest view of why I do not believe in Islam. These reasons are not to bash Islam. They are also very clear and not things that are subject to interpretation,


1) Hell

I ran away from christianity's notion of hell for unbelievers in Christ only to meet another version of hell in Islam. For me, hell does not make sense. Punishment must fit the crime. Man lives for an average of 70 years, why torture him for more than 70 years? Why must hell be eternal? Furthermore, why should the same punishment meted out to liars and murderers? They are not the same crime or sins. Remember that Ar-Rahim (Allah is the merciful) and Al Ald (the utterly just). Seriously, I am going to the same hell for squeezing my girlfriends breasts with war criminals, murderers and cocaine dealers?

Also, why should I accept that my relatives and ancestors are all going to hell because of their personal choices? Some people in my village rejected christianity and remained pagans and most rejected islam to accept christianity. Are they going to hell just because they rejected islam? What if they live good lives?


2) Halal Food
I am a spoilt child from a rich family. I grew up eating the things that I like and that affects me up until today. I dont eat a lot of vegetables and many other foods. Now how do I become a part of a religion that will limit my already limited choices of food? Do you know the painful thing? Vegetables are F****ing Halal

Furthermore, there is the edible worm that is a snack in my culture. Islam would make that haraam. This is hard to accept since people from my village live long and they have been eating such for many generations. It has little or no side effects.

3) Haraam relationships
Funny enough, this was the actual thing that turned me away from Islam. Not a logical reason but an emotional one . I received a lot of hate from my muslim girlfriend's family and some other muslims because I was not a muslim. My first muslim girlfriend (yes, I have had two ) was very close to me and I was even thinking about converting. The thing that put me off was the hostility- what matters more, the religion or the happiness and welfare of your daughter? Some of my cousins have married atheists and Jews and they had support from our family.

The Quranic law is clear; a muslim woman can not marry a non-muslim. While muslims can see this law as reasonable and good so that the children/wife do not become non-muslims, it is harsh and unreasonable to the mushrik/kaffir for 5 reasons;

a) It assumes that the woman is weak enough not to convert the husband or the children.
b) It assumes that the non-muslim man will force his religion on the muslim wife. If that is so, cant a muslim man do the same to his non-muslim wife?
c) It goes against the human rights of freedom of association. A woman can marry who ever she wants.



However, dont you think I have valid reasons?

take each number of my reply to the correspondin reason number...
1. the punishment for every crime is not the same. A tip of this can be found in the Glorious Quran when Allah(swt) says in Quran 4 vs 145...''Indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the
Fire - and never will you find for them a helper ''
......and also from The Hadith which states the punishment for the Prophets Uncle which is that all he would get is to wear the shoes from hell''
..... So My GOD ALLAH is just and there is none like HIM.


2. All what islam prohibits as regards food have been found to be truly harmful, you can do a little research to confirm these.
As regards your worm, Islam wont make it haram if it doesnt fall into the stated ones in Quran 5 vs 3 and some other places..
during the lifetime of the prophet, he was offered A lizard as a meal whe he visited a tribe, then he frowned..the companion with him asked that ''is it haram ?''..the prophet replied ''No, but it isnt part of my culture''..then the companion took the plate nearer and ate.


3. as regards the reasons you listed in the relationships. Lets be sincere, are these reasons not true ? And we can take instances from our immediate society.
a muslim is to abide by the rules of Islam therefore woman cant marry anybody she choses and same goes for the male too except what has been stated in the Sharia.


I hope I have the time .. I have to go now..but I'm sure there are ppl who can treat the issues better.

once again, in addition to what our able engr sameolg explained to you, you could just search for ccleaner, download n install....run ccleaner to delete all useless temp and cached files..then click the tools tab and select start up...then delete or disable most of the apps that arent necessary..e.g adobe updater..installshield ..office..etc that you'd see hanging in there.....you could also maximise the ccleaner startup list and take a snapshot so we culd help u decide.

My brother, I still say thank you a million times.
While on the BIOS Setup Page, the stuff happened again after about 70 minutes (1hr plus).

The F8 advice, I did but I couldn't stay longer for 70minutes because of workload to see if it will trip-off. I'll do that tomorrow.

MOBBDEEP: Happy Sunday my brother & thanks a lot for not thinking too low or burdensome of me to give a helping hand despite my disturbing you.

I forgot to say that by the following morning when I got to my working place ( I immediately detached the 12 cell battery the evening I noticed the problem ), the problem continued while using A/C power source (charger).
Meanwhile, the battery still gets charged perfectly when connected to A/C source.
I also noticed that if you leave it for a long time untouched e.g a day, it will allow you boot, log-in & use for like 30mins before tripping off. And the cycles of turning itself on & off automatically starts intermittently with no regular pattern ( I mean it can do that repeatedly and stop only to start again 10 minutes later).
I also noticed that, out of frustration & despair, if you ' smack ' the stupid PC, the automatic 'on & off' Poo will start.
I understand a lil'bit of computer world & I've tried few stuffs on my own.
Could accumulation of dirts be a cause ?
Needful to say, the PC also developed suddenly in December 2011 failure of cooling unit to function ( a pop-up message will appear on the screen telling you that that the cooling unit is faulty, that you should shut down & take it to a service centre )
Interestingly & surprisingly, the problem spontaneously on its own got resolved. ( Then, I was at Imo State & it was difficulty locating a good Toshiba PC Service Personnel. Hence, my delay in going for check-up until the problem just 'vamoosed' on its own & me ?, I thank the Lord in response taking it as favour & miracle ).

To answer your questions, :
* The supposed bizman I used travelled to US but ordered it online from Canada ( this checked out with the shape of the mouthplug of the Power-pack cord ).
The system, with the 2 12-cell battery that came with it, bore 'Manufactured in China'.

* The Power-pack is the Toshiba's that came with it. No perceived or apparent problem with it so far.

* No error message on the screen yet ( I even attempted & completed the ' Launch PC repair service ' command that comes when Windows OS Booting is interrupted, and no problem was reported after completing the 'Launch & Restore'.

* Warranty is not something too feasible or practical for me personally. I don't like stress not at all & I don't like dragging issues. I don't even like fixing problems ( because of the attendant headaches e.g see the way I've been constituting myself a nuisance to you ) plus I don't believe in repair except handling it as DIY. I prefer doing everything possible to forestall issues arising which was why I did it in the Pre-Ordering way ( see the foolish me, as if the ones around are made differently. Anyway, it's an experience ).
I usually drop the faulty electrical item but that, I can't do here because I presently live a modest meagre livelihood & means.

* The place I work uses a big Gen-set. The last time I used a small gen-set was in February 2012.

I'll put into action the wonderful infos you gave me in the evening / tomorrow morning because I left the PC in my workplace out of annoyance.

joanana: Its the former one, those 'chiko' guys as u kall am i believe say them go fit the fone , as for naija guys i dnt want someone that will use my fone to learn at the end of the day will not fix it or even make the the situation worse. I was told that i need to jgag the fone ( force download mode on it, which requires that i will open the fone n connect wires to it) this i believe any naija guy that will do it, knows his onions verrrrrry well) you dig!!!

sameolg616: Really,a couple of factors may be responsible.but here are tips..get this software UNIBLUE registry booster to remove all the unwanted entries that can slow the performance of a system(for some pple,they use ccleaner)step2.goto filehippo.com,get this software HIJACKTHIS..when u run it,choose SCAN and make a screenshot of the scan so I can help u analyse it(especially the 04 entries)that way,we can know if some rootkits are secretly running..MSCONFIG would not comprehensively reveal the results

sameolg616: That's a simple one..if you have core DOS knowledge,just use ATTRIB -h -s /S /D *.. In d root directory of the infected drive..wen done,use DEL *.lnk to delete all the link files

doing this doesnt take off the virus.... What you've stated is how to restore back the normal file properties...

that should be Gaoxinqi... I once saw them at computer village around binitie hotel, not sure if they are still around.... Try the opebi office at 100 opebi road..towards the end of opebi..to the right after you leave the link bridge.

I may not know what variant it falls into but I've had personal experience with the p.0.r.n sex.y virus. Its very common in my school. All it does is to hide your files/folders and creates a shortcut in their place.
All you have to do is locate the directory in which its root is (and its usually in the user account folder or the start up folder) then delete it. You'd also need a .exe and .lnk reistry fix to restore the normal opening of your programs and applications. If you're skilled, you could do these via safe mode. If not see a tech. BUT YOU DON'T NEED TO FORMAT OR RE-INSTALL WINDOWS.
