jedisco: One of the true revolutionary devices I've seen in a long time. Came out with specs no one could have imagined.

I have read reviews about it and one striking feature is that every site (even symbian hating ones) say the camera cannot be compared with that on any other phone. Infact gsmarena went on to compare it with DLSRs and gave a pretty nice review on it

Even if its the last symbian device (which I really doubt), I think it would be a wonderful farewell to a legendary OS- the OS that introduced smartphones to most of us.

Would have loved to get one especially since the new windows 8 cannot accommodate above 20MP. But it does not have a higher processing power than my 701 although it has a screen. Would have loved it to have a higher screen resolution and maybe 4.2 inches.

Well I guess I would have to wait for the FP2 update to Belle and Nokia show coming up in September to know which direction Symbian is heading or whether I will switch to windows.

But all in all, this is a device worth having. It gives us a break from the mad RAM, pixel increase and dual core chase that seems to be the only thing changing in new phones.

9900 is better as its sure to work on our GSM band with little or no restrictions while the 9930 is the CDMA version which wuld work on both GSM and CDMA networks

ponana: Am disputing the fact that the phone fell from the top of a table. But ,oga this is not the first blackberry I would use and I have experienced worse cases of dropping my phone. I won't come here and just start saying trash if I have not had competent engineers open up the phone. I took it to village for repairs and the engineer guy first thought it was just a screen problem only to later find out the fault is from an iceing or wateva its called on the board. The engineer showed me the phone after opening it and it was obvious that this phone has being properly messed with. I was even told to be careful with the charging point because it which I saw with my own eyes wasn't in a good condition. I was so angry which was why I didn't take a picture of the inside's of the phone. I called the Engr hamid guy expectong him to be straight forward about the fact that he has worked on the phone before or that he got it from some1 and that he doesn't know the history of the phone. We spoke fr like 3mins on the phone and all the he could say was take it to an engineer.I told him he should recomment one and he couldn't. It was so obvious he just wasn't interested in doing anything about it. I did a little research and was directed to go to slot because there Engineers are knowledge. I was told the same thing in slot that it wasn't a screen problem and that they cannot fix it. So if you think I am just coming here to rubbish you, I totally agree because I worked for 27K and I try to justify my spendings. If you still want to hold your innocent grounds, no wahala, just know say God dey.

its I.C. not iceing... Most ics are made from fragile materials and there are some glass-like, so the fact that you've had phones that have been falling without issues doesnt mean your phone should keep falling and not have issues, probably this particular one fell on the wrong side.

Got a little problem.

I hid some files on my system (a Windows 7 Ultimate OS) sometime ago and now that I need to retrieve the files, the show hidden files checkbox in the folder options advanced settings menu which will enable me to unhide the files is not appearing and I'm in a big fix.

N.B - the show hidden files checkbox used to be present and I've used it from time to time but now it's completely gone off the radar.

Googled online for solution but no luck hence my post here. Any Nairalander knows how I can unhide the files? See screenshot of my folder options advanced settings menu to see what I'm talking about
