12 months of NYSC may seem like a very long time for many to begin to bother on how to secure a job after youth service (Truth be told, time flies faster than you can imagine). The sad thing is that throughout NYSC period, Youth corpers seem to forget that one of the main reasons for finishing tertiary institution is to earn a degree to secure a good job.

You may not understand this until you get an invite to write a recruitment test for your dream organization only to discover in the test room that you did not make effective preparation for such a life changing opportunity – never pray to experience this, it is one of the most demoralizing things to experience at this crucial point of your life.

Please do not take this for granted, I have seen many high performers who graduated with second class upper degree lament that nobody informed them that passing job test is a totally different ball game from what they did in the tertiary institution. The most painful part of this experience as earlier mentioned is that early job opportunity missed with a reputable firm may never be gotten again.

Also, note that the generic GMAT text books being sold here and there are no longer as effective as they used to be 12 to 15 years ago when recruiters adopted the GMAT format to set job test for candidates. Please do well to inquire from those ahead of you to find out the truth for yourself. Recruiters have greatly modified their test formats which are more complex and tactical than earlier test format.
