omoadeleye: abeg for that MTN ish, still leave them aside cause i still have alot of data bundle to embezzle from them, but other companies you can eff them up.
YOU MUST BE CLOWNING. SHOW ME A BLACK NON BEE COMPANY THAT IS COMPETETIVE IN AFRICA..
Let me answer; None!!!
also, he doesn't know that there is dangote group of companies..Funny enough, dangote flourmills was sold to a south African firm called tiger brand about 2years ago.
PunkyOh: People who give from the heart, do so without seeking recognition. Hell, some of the biggest givers even do it anonymously because they're not doing it to gain special favours or to get a around of applause. So the fact that you want us to know, just makes me care about it even less. Your thank you note is on the mail.
the funny thing is that Nigerians don't even send your recognition.. all we want is for south Africans and other Africans to live in peace..Your recognition doesn't put food on our table or give jobs to the masses here..
It is unfair how Nigerians are treated in SA though by generalizing all Nigerians to be drug peddlers etc.. This is what always bring up the apartheid reminders..
PunkyOh: You want me to ululate? Is that what you want me to do about your "major help" ? Whether you contributed more or not, what's annoying are the constant reminders about what you did. Nobody wants to be constantly reminded about the help they received in time of need because it cheapens the whole thing. Makes it less heartfelt. The reason most of us remember countries like Zambia is because they're not shouting about it atop the Drankesberg. They're more human about it, hence we respect them so much. Thanks for the millions. Moving on.
Madam, the reason you guys are getting constant reminders is that many of you don't even know about it and you come and say Nigeria didn't do anything..and as long as you refuse to accept it it will always come as a reminder. I know how painful it is as I can see that you always try to use Zambia to cover up everything knowing fully well that Zambia didn't even contribute up to one-tenth of what Nigeria did. (I know Zambia played their own part)..
If you noticed, I didn't want to even post all those link as I know how painful it can be sometimes when you are reminded about something until when I saw you and the other guys post.
Don't be offended though, although I believe you now know the facts and I trust you will talk sense to some xenophobic goons over there.
mikron: u called the huge amount Nigeria spent to liberate South Africa and Angola merely? $61billion merely? U guys re truly not grateful
Actually, they were ignorant as they didn't know the huge help and major role Nigeria played to safe them during apartheid era..I have given them some links to see the truth here.. they will ponder about it.
Its a big pill for them to swallow though.
Just imagine the worth of $61billion in the 70s-80s and now..damn!!!!!!
And for the record, South Africa investment in Nigeria has increased to about 700%-800% in the few years while nigerian investment in SA has increased to about 150% over the years, so yes, SA will lose more if Nigerians are killed because of xenophobia.
Pls talk to your SA brothers..we don't wanna fight cos we have enough problems of our own to deal with.
PunkyOh: Ok, still thank you Zambia, Tanzania, Nigeria etc & thank you to all South Africans who died for our freedom.
I know that you hate the fact that Nigeria was the major country that helped you guys but is the fact... Goddamit , ordinary Nigerians even donated financially to help you guys so I don't see it proper for you to insult us this way if truly you are against xenophobia.
We even contributed financially from our own pockets to free these guys and you are all here speaking shiit. Honestly you guys should respect us for saving your souls.
Nigeria played a pivotal role in establishing the United Nations Special Committee against Apartheid in the 1960s while ordinary Nigerians contributed financially to the anti- apartheid movement, especially in reaction to the 1976 Soweto uprisings.
LeSudAfricaine: They really have a cheek don't they?No doubt Many countries played a role in exposing the cruel system Apartheid was, many of our exiles were helped by many countries like Zambia, Tanzania etc even countries from abroad, I've never heard Tanzanians yapping about how they saved us, it's the Nigerians who want special treatment as did anything different,
PunkyOh: Ja ne. Even the story about us receiving 2nd hand clothes from them is news to me. When? Hahaha. The people who collected those clothes probably burned them or sold them somewhere. We never received clothes or food from anywhere during Apartheid. The parents went to work just like any other parents, so there really wasn't a need for handouts. Some seem to have a very weid idea of how Apartheid was. I think that maybe they think we were caged up or something like that. Actually, life was normal, it's just that the laws were unfair & there was a lot of violence here/there. However, we still were able to go to town & shop etc. So I'm amazed & shocked to hear that we needed clothes. Kikiki.
Am sorry to say this but you don't know nothing about the help Nigeria gave SA during its apartheid period. Am sure you don't know that Nigeria spent about $61billion to free you guys during the apartheid era.
According to Wikipedia"During the apartheid era in South Africa, Nigeria was one of the foremost supporters of Black South African liberation movements , including the African National Congress ; the Nigerian government issued more than 300 passports to South Africans seeking to travel abroad. Sonny Okosun , a Nigerian musician, wrote the hit song "Fire in Soweto " in 1977 to commemorate the 1976 Soweto uprising against white-rule in South Africa. "
Nigeria help u guys financially, politically and even with music to free you guys so I see it as an insult as you are saying these words.
PunkyOh: Kikiki. The "we liberated you from Apartheid" is kinda ticklish.
Jeez, thanks While at it, special thanks to Zambia etc & most importantly, a big thanks to Us
special thanks to Zambia? trying to use reverse psychology here ain't you? . I hope that crazed xenophobic leader doesn't attack Zambians unless you guys are ready to visit a Zambia website to explain your history all over again.
I will suggest u guys come out en masse on TV and radio and condemn this xenophobic act rather than sitting down and trying to play smart online.
Tomorrow some eediot gays and lesbians here will say that there were born gay. when in actual fact they were defiled at a tender age by someone older. evilset of people. poor child.
mzilakazi: Only a handful group of disgruntled hooligans are rallying behind xenophobia. I believe that you have seen all the footages that were all over international media and that surely cannot amount to the total population of the country. You clearly have not seen South Africa. Moreover, it is untrue that Zuma does nothing to contain the situation. The so called xenophobia is now over and the foreigners are back into their shops with everything back into normal.
The son of the President and the Zulu king were quoted out of context. They preferably referred to group of foreigners that could not have proper papers to be in the country and as a result have added the volume to vagrancy in the cities. He complained rather about the city that lost the taste of cleanliness. He recalled how tidy most of the cities in South Africa used to be and how the situation has now deteriorated that you do not even know which shop is which. He, further appealed to foreigners who did not have papers to pack and go.
ok but i dont think the xenophobia is over as a so called xenophobe gang leader just came out to say they will kill more africans..gambians are the main targets now..watch here;
Watch gang leader of xenophobic attack issueing more death threats to other blacks. Na so dem worship white man come hate their fellow black brothers reach
LeSudAfricaine: These attacks are idiocy, savagery, buffoonery of the worst kind, It's an excuse to do criminality really, I condemn them with every ounce of my being, I would also on behalf of my foolish countrymen and women like to apologise to every nationality that is here on Nairaland. These attacks don't reflect who we are as a nation, they are orcchestrated by a few 4ick people
its a good one from u but i believe u guys still have a lot to do as there are some evil southafricans that are hell bent on bringing more shame to the country.
According to the book of TANoids, chapter 6, verse 2015, the ex-IGP deserves the sack for not using the state apparatus to achieve the needed "end" of his benefactor/employer.
u guys always complain about everything..you were shouting that gej should sack the igp which he did now una still no tire.
but why are nigerians reacting to this news, (although John demelo was brought to the spot light by nollywood), i expected the NL ghanians to be more upset than we. abi ghanaians no dey nairaland
mzilakazi: Yep, it seems so, but truly I only wanted to instill some sense of understanding into her that over 50 million South Africa's do not support these ruthless killing of innocent Africans. The group that the SA police shot at does not even make a quota of our population and Durban and Johannesburg is not the whole of South Africa. There are more than million of foreigners who live in SA who have never experienced xenophobia in one form or another especially those who live outside Johannesburg and Durban.
The killing of Sithole was unfortunate and was not xenophobic by nature rather a criminal activity from the Alex tsotsis who took advantage of the situation. Alexandra township is very violent and misfortune could have befallen anyone, South African or foreigner.
i know that not all SA are xenophones but i will advise that you guys educate the violent ones over there or send them to rehab. You also say that over 50million SA dont support dont support these killings which i disagree. why? i am yet to see South Africans coming out en masse to condemn these killings. Even the SA president is not doing enough to curb the situation. I also heard that the son also is in support of the killings. I was shocked and amazed when a screen shot of a SA website was pasted here and almost everyone there were in support of the killings.
i advise u guys talk more sense and arrest the perpetrators because right now, SA is seen as an enemy of Africa which isnt good for a country in africa.
A South African fan has asked John Dumelo not to visit South Africa anymore following comments on the xenophobic violence he posted on Instagram.
Few minutes after Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo took to his Instagram account last Friday, April 17, 2015 to condemn the xenophobic attacks by South Africans on immigrants from several African countries, an angry South African fan responded with a warning to the actor not to ever step into the country anymore.
John Dumelo posted: The fact that a man can take the life of another, without any justification and with arrogance impunity is depressing. We constantly lament the evils of terrorism and orchestrated religious attacks, but to what do we owe this? What did we (other Africans) ever do you South Africa?
The lady’s response: If you hate SA so bad, then don’t ever come here.
You never saw us in Ghana all of you stay the hell away. Jeez so much hate for us why? You the ones who come here mos. Hambani suka nxa
Although the actor was yet to respond to the threat, other fans of his have lashed out at the female South African with Instagram handle: @ i_am_mash.london. The lady’s bio says she is an Editor/founder of Kings & Queens Mag and Managing Director of Redlips Media.
freecocoa: I have been to a church where the pastor practically said, people should drop all the money on them if they really wanted to see god in action, so I don't doubt that pastors preach money.
I'm just doubting that he would instruct strangers to search one another.
In today's churches/ business centres anything can happen and since majority of the people are dumb and brainwashed they will do it be you stranger or not.....see below another person giving his uncles ordeal in a church...Many pastors devise new ways of looting their members money and don't give a damn if you are a stranger or not.
My unle once returned from church very red and moody. I asked him what what was wrong. He replied that he had been robbed by armed robbers. Alarmed, I asking him questions, like where , when and how, and also whether police had been notified. The he said " it is not police matter o ". Confused, I asked him to tell me what exactly happened to him.
It was at that time that he narrated to me how, during their weeknight program, his pastor had asked every one to stand and raise their two hands. Naturally, he complied. Then the pastorpastor went ahead and commanded each person, still with right hand raised, should lower the left hand, put it into the left pocket, and bring out all the contents, including rings, watches or jewelry on the left hand. Still watch with surprise, everyone complied while the ushers went round to collect the contents. After that, same was repeated for the right hand and right hand pockets.
At the end of this spiritual experience-cum armed robbery, my poor uncle had to hitch a ride with empty pockets.
freecocoa: It's either you state the name of the so called church or swallow this lie all by yourself.
Even if the pastor dey mad sef, this is just too much abeg.
I don't think the op is lying as my brother told me of a similar experience not too long ago in a church..the pastor was just preaching on money and giving and forcing people to give.
armadeo: Instill have episode one. I haven't been bored enough to complete it though. Spent my time on the leaked GOT. I will watch it this weekend. Hope it lives up to the hype.
For izombie NO way!!
trust me, you will enjoy it..as for izombie, I won't even recommend it unless u are verrrryyy bored.
The suspect last Thursday allegedly hit the head of his late wife, a food vendor against the wall during a quarrel.
This is a warning to all ladies, never marry an aggressive man, especially the Yoruba ones, they will end up killing you and send their killer brothers to bury ur corpse.
