flemsy15: For me 'cane' hasn't yielded better results than 'words' used by the whites. All the areas we were flogged growing up , the whites tend to be doing much better. Areas like punctuality, hygiene, sincerity, not-stealing, Truthfulness, avoiding unnecessary noise making, avoiding unnecessary begging, orderliness, etc... the whites are performing better than us. Beating makes us see virtues as punishments No wonder white children keep killing their parents over any disagreement as little as taking their phone away in record number. |

Many of you support what you cannot take forming wannabe American "I know my right". If Aregbesola had smashed that phone, he would have been right, even in America.
Even with this evidence, Aregbesola can sue him. Whether it was stupid and wrong is one thing and whether is legal is another thing. The thing is, the recording is not illegal in America in as much as the guy was not in aregbe’s personal space or in his face |

There was a time C Ronaldo was walking after a bad match a Yeye fan was bringing his camera close. C Ronaldo simply stumped on it and walked away.
You think he didn't know the law? What an opportunity to milk C Ronaldo. I’m sure that didn’t happen in America. That’s why American law is different because he would be sued to cash out. If it happened in America, C Ronaldo would pay hundreds of thousands dollars. I’m very sure lawyers took advantage of that for the boy and C Ronaldo settled him behind closed door |

Will a private business (the restaurant) allow one of their customers to be harrased and their security won't be able to throw the offending party out because the person broke no laws? Of course the guy doing the recording was too much in aregbe’s face and that’s the only problem there. He could have recorded him like 8 feet away and that wouldn’t have been any problem whether the minister liked it or not as much as the guy doesn’t touch him. He was obviously in his personal space. |

Anyone who bears Abba-aji anywhere is 100% most likely a shuwa-Arab from Borno state. Shuwa Arabs are 99.9% Muslims. They can also be found in parts of Niger, Chad & Mali. This particular one is even a younger brother to a former senator from Borno.
He's a Christian indeed. I hope you have learnt something today. Take your L and run back into your hole quietly.

redcliff: Your case is a rare and a lost one. Your last point confirmed it. If you think I’m the only one with that mindset. Then you are wrong. Nigerians that choose to stay back with their grown children abroad after they have retired are more than those that come back because they need good medical care in their old age that they cannot get in Nigeria. Also they need their children that will never follow them around them. They won’t come back to Nigeria so they can die of loneliness because at this time, no extended family member would give a damn about them since they no more have money to throw around as they used to. You only know about the returnees. |

redcliff: You are quick to ridicule your country after time when you mature and get older you will realize that 1: you miss home than anyother thing 2. You wish you could change things back home rather than in another man's land 3. You will learn fast that you are not welcomed there and you will face racism even from your fellow blacks 4. You will miss the food 5. You will get depressed, then you will know why whites commit suicide alot more even in abundance 6. You will be the one even knowing more of the happenings back home than even Nigerians at home because you wish the country was better. Not necessarily because you want to move back but because you are very concerned. 7. If you ever stumbled on this thread in the future, you will then laugh your arse out and think of how naïve you were.
Not everybody is meant to travel. Have you ever seen any country in the world that all their citizens travelled and left the country empty for a selected few? Everything you put up here is not true. 1: Since I moved to the US, I never missed Nigeria or anyone except my parents. 2: I don’t wish I could change anything in Nigeria anymore because time waits for nobody. Enjoy your life now and stop worrying about a country you have no power to change due to corrupt politicians. Nigeria will better. So they say since I was born. We are all getting close to old age everyday 3: I feel welcome. You will only feel unwelcome if you are mixing with the wrong people 4: I eat most of the food I used to eat in Nigeria because we have African stores here. So I don’t miss the food 5: The greatest depression comes from living in a country like Nigeria. You are even depressed right now living in Nigeria but you don’t know it. You will know not until you come here. 6: I’m not part of such people. I don’t follow Nigerian news or politics more than I follow the ones in my new country 7: I’m at a point of no return to Nigeria. Why do you think this trend will matter to me? Of course it won’t |
