9jacrip: My brother, given the age we are in, traditional beliefs/practices doesn't seem acceptable/appealing BUT the throne which presides over a community isn't just to be sat on to earn salary, to receive gifts from the governor, have multiple wives etc. The throne is there to promote and protect the cultural/indigenous believes of the locals. Apparently we shouldn't still have kings since they do not serve any purpose since the Nigerian constitution has eroded their powers and I think the only reason they are still there is to preserve culture/tradition and everything it brings not wipe it away and jettison it for further 'European/Arab' imports.

If the king cannot continue or pride himself with the culture and belief system of his fore-fathers then he should step-down and hand over the crown.

Since that 2008, I have had that notion that Ogun State will repeat history of Lagos realestate and it's gradually gaining momentum by the day.

Though I am not in Ogun State right now, but I will surely get there...
