Flash Fiction

Etisalat has at the core of its vision, encouraging and inspiring creativity. Having this in mind, the flash fiction category has been established in order to cater to the large amount of interest received fromunpublished writersacross the Continent. In order to garner some publicity for the art of flash fiction writing and the writers themselves, this category of the Prize will be open to the general public to review and ultimately select a winner.
In today’s fast paced world where communication is right at our finger tips through the use of smart devices; phones, tablets and the likes, consumers prefer to consume information on-the-go and in bite sized chunks. The Flash fiction category therefore seeks to marry both of these concepts together thus providing added value to mobile device users across Africa. Winners will receive:

To enter please fill in the requisite details in the form here. You will also be required to type in your short story in the space given [no more than 300 words].
Entries open on the 14th of October 2014.
After the entry deadline, the competition will be open to the general public for voting. Voting will commence from the 5th of November and run through to the 25th of November, 2014.
Top 20 will be announced after moderations take place on the 16th of December 2014 while the shortlist will be announced in January.
Moderations will be handled by a panel of writers publishers and respected individuals in the Literary community.
