Just go for your interview abeg. Nobody will ask you for any statement and you certainly don't need to boost nothing. You are fully funded for crying out loud.

Which Kain..even native speakers do comparative literature and the other English English Masters. For what it's worth, even if you carry Electrical Engineering admission to the embassy and you can't explain your way through plug spanner, you'd be denied. So just do well to prep for the interview.

I have applied for Masters in English literature and i got a funded offer with full tuition waiver waiver. I read a comment on nairaland that the VO may not approve the visa because my country is an English speaking country and i am also fluent in English. I am a writer and I also work as a social media manager. Please should i be worried about this.

What are you talking about? I've never heard such balderdash in my life! People go for Masters in English all the time. I even know two personally that have switched to tech and landed internships at Facebook.

I would reach out to the grad cord to affirm or confirm what I think that means. Are you scared that you could confirm your deepest fear, if you do reach out? It's either they are awarding or not. Better to know what to depend upon for your planning.

Btw, they said they have suspended Coach Adams oo. I hope he's not the one that is disturbing the grants office..

I don't believe in shooting shots aimlessly, when it's not even for an ivy league. Because I really don't have the time, money or emotions to waste. Meet their requirements and see whether they won't give it to you. For every school I have applied to, I have gotten accepted, even to an R1... except for FIU, which is still because I could not get a supervisor (as advised in the requirements) prior to dashing them my app fee.

Passing MBBS in the 3rd year, marks the end of the basics. Year 4-6 are for clinical rotations. 7 is for housemanship, 8 is for NYSC, 9, beyond and far into the future is for Medical Office/Residency/Consultancy....or so it used to be. This timeline of course, is based on whether they are able to pass each stage, after exactly one trial.

Talent acquisition and recruiting are not the only specializations in the Human Resources field. There is more to that than HR. There are HR compensation and benefits analyst roles, business partner roles, Hr generalist roles and even hr analyst roles involving HRIS. All these specializations are relatively recession proof than talent acquisition and specialists in diversity, equity and Inclusion. And every company there is always different human resources personnel with these roles, so I believe this field wont be severely affected by recession in the future.

Ok, that's swell. Good you know where to face then. I'm rooting for you. Besides HR Analytics is considered a stem degree in many schools.

No two experiences are the same, but how would you feel to know that HRs were/are always the first to get laid off in this recession? Talent hunt is chic, but delicate. 'Cos when a company is not hiring, then they are basically just taking up space..

I just recently got admitted to University of Texas Dallas for my PhD in Political Economy.
Offered a teaching assistantship
Full Funding (tuition waiver)
$2000 monthly stipend ($24k a year). (Subject to change yearly).
Also with health insurance.
Classes resume 21st, August 2023.

What I believe is that it doesn't matter. I'm not getting married to the school or to the state of Mississippi. You go, spend your four years, perform as well as you can academically and find ways to network and connect with people. You can always move out of the state when you're done and there will always be grad school opportunities.

Unfortunately, all this one is just grammar to my family. By going to Mississippi I might as well be going to Syria.

Which could be why you got the funding..because lots of people seemingly see there as a wasteland. Lots of school environs are not always as bubbly like the typical big cities, as people imagine though.
As I de like this sha, I fit go anywhere for Alaska. No time to waste time.

Honestly, Marshall is weird like that..and I read that it's since they started this centralised system thing...Hopefully, you didn't put all your eggs in one basket ..before you go and get admission, only a few weeks to the beginning of classes, like some weirdass schools do.

Heard back from some schools in the past few weeks. Got a full tuition scholarship from University of Southern Mississippi, Rejected from Lafayette, St. Olaf and Wooster. Waitlisted at Stetson(most likely due to applying rather late).

Still waiting on Brandeis and Case Western among others. We hope for better next month.

Omg, this is awesome news! Congrats, man!! Why wait for the others, when securing visa appointment is a tussle these days? Unless you want to do the i-20 update thing sha...big congratulations 👏👏

Someone has finished explaining that you will not enter embassy until July and you say it's false. Were you not the one that said you were there in December?

Most people are already paying visa fees and searching for appointment dates.

It is important to look up the official list of the USA embassy closure days for this year and avoid scheduling a date on these days.
