A drunk stumbles along a Baptismal service on a Sunday afternoon down by the river. He proceeds to stumble down into the water and stands next to the Minister.


The Minister turns, notices the old drunk and says, “Mister, are you ready to find Jesus?”


The drunk looks back and says, “Yes sir, I am.”


The Minister then dunks the fellow under the water and pulls him right back up. “Have you found Jesus?” the Minister asks.


“No, I didn’t!” said the drunk.


The Minister then dunks him under for a quite a bit longer, brings him up and says, “Now brother, have you found Jesus?”


“No, I did not!” says the drunk again.


Disgusted, the Minister holds the man under for at least 30 seconds this time, brings him up and demands, “For the grace of God, have you found Jesus yet?!”


The old drunk wipes his eyes and pleads, “Are you sure this is where he fell in

^ What the hell are you saying? There's only a few who act that way, there are countless Nigerians who take great pride in their country all over the world, especially in America (New York City in particular).
All from Nigerian Independence Day parade in NYC. Please, don't try and say all us Nigerians don't take pride in our home, because of what you saw in a personal incident. It is simply not true, so you cannot simply just write off the 15 or so million of us abroad.

Every country has its good and bad. But for the sake of image. . . . you just sweep it under the rug. Look at China in the Olympics. Why do you think they only where 10% have seen and 5% actually live in? IMAGE that's why. No one wants to see the bad in their country but be deceived by the good. Because any smart person would know that China is so polluted that you can look directly at the sun and not have to squint your eyes.

It's also sad that most of these homeless people are black esp in the DC area

I've never seen it on my TV, the closest is showing people rendered homeless or the like due to some natural disasters but to show the real poverty as it is, i'm yet to see that

It baffles me why the american media is so quick to report about poverty in developing nations when there are so many poverty stricken, homeless and hungry people here.

I was going to start a thread on that but changed ma mind on a second thought. you would never see CNN or CBS show anything that's related to poverty in America whereas, there is SERIOUS poverty in America. they project the image of the country so positively without flaws that if you're not living there, you would be thinking America is heaven on earth.

no biggy-in the first place, most of their emails go to the junk and eventually emptied without you reading the content. in the case where it goes directly into your inbox, then delete it. you can't be scammed by merely reading it except you take any step further which could make you gullible and that's why it's believed by scammers that only the greedy ones fall easy prey. i receive scam emails too, and i make sure they end up in the recycle bin.
