Jobs/VacanciesRe: Should I Go For M.Sc Or A Level 12 Job In A Private University? by Drefaithful(m): 2:51pm On Sep 16, 2021
Iamjobless:
Will be very brief and I pray this reaches the front page.
I graduated in the year 2019 from one of the foremost Universities in Nigeria, did my NYSC but after that I have been applying for job all to no avail.

During my job search, I applied for a job in a private University in February, after much delay, we did Examination in June and interview in July, I was picked as I have seen my name on the list of successful canadidate. The job is very OK and working environment superb and with a moderate salary and virtually no stress
But the thing, I have strong passion for my course, I have even applied for M. SC(1 year) in another University just to gain more knowledge, already have thesis topic and everything that I will need all through, I have already initiated how to japa through study abroad once I finish my course, now I am scared, like really scared because if the plan doesn't work out, then I will be losing a very good opportunity.

Note : I can't study my M. SC in that university because they do not have the department and equipments
Take the admission and defer it, then meet your HOD (your Senior colleauge) and discussed the development with him having deferred it. Because the standard in Federal University is that one must possess Masters Degree before confirmation of appointment can be done. Though it might not be the case in Private varsity, but i have a strong believe that they will welcome the idea of acquiring more knowledge.

Good luck

I can confirm this, Army engineers are working full-time. Most of them are university graduates so you dont usually see them in combat they're mostly in workshops fixing vehicles or making them.
The following are the combat corps in Nigerian Army
1. Infantry
2. Armour
3. Artillery
4. Engineer
5. Signal

All the aforementioned corps be it officer or soldier, they are war lords, Engineer corps are more involved in deep battle.
Sometimes at the front, when jungle matures, the engineer will provide a temporary bridge, in order to maneuver the enemy or when the enemy has cut off the bridge.

Please erase the erroneous misconception that engineer are limited to workshop.

France has been fvking the Anglophone countries of West and Central Africa since the Berlin Conference of 1885.
They use a dictator for years, dump him then choose another one and the cycle continues. From Senegal to Cameroun to Niger to Mali to Gabon to Guinea and others.

If you think this few soldiers are the real coup plotters then think again...
Francophone you meant, not Anglophone

To my surprise none of them wanted to study Medicine.

During our days most students that emerge 1st - 3rd in UME ( as we called it then ) prefer MBBS to any other course.

PoliticsRe: Bashir Magashi Pledges Support For Military Widows Of 1992 Planes Crash by Drefaithful(m): 9:36pm On Aug 18, 2021
Up till now, this matter remained unsolved.
Sometimes ago, I was a corps member in one of the Division in Nigerian Army, an aged widow was the one selling food for us at the Div cafeteria, the woman later knew that the then Chief of Defence Staff and I are from the same town and so also the GOC of that Div.

The woman leveraged on my influence and seeking for my assistance by narrating her ordeal to me since the demise of her husband in ill-fated military plane crash of 1992. She told me that since then her life was not the same any longer.

Although in my capacity I tried my best I got CDS number gave it to her and link her with some few people whom the CDS respect a lot, after that singular act of mine she always appreciated my concern and do feed me back about the progress she made via that link I gave her.

By and large, to my dismay the issue is yet to be resolved and I believe the CDS can't never treated her case singlehandedly.

What a pity!!!!!!!
FamilyRe: Why Getting Married When You Are Struggling Financially Is A Bad Decision! by Drefaithful(m): 3:09pm On Aug 16, 2021
Money is an essential ingredient in marriage, but Happy family home does not solely depend on affluence, if affirmative, The rich people would monopolize that, ironically, they suffered more marital problems that the less privilege.

On a final note, some will marry as pauper and later make it in life, while some will not marry as a result of being poor, but if you want to wait till you get rich before you get married, the choice is yours, but mind you who assure you of the time " you will blow'' if you can't answer in affirmative, just forge ahead with what life brings to you, provided you are looking up for better tomorrow. Above all, please be prayerful in your dealings.

Thank you.

Whatever everybody say here, it does not change anything, you had already made up your mind.
my advice for you is that, just seek for advise from 2 people, 1. a friend of yours 2. a family member of yours, don't hide anything from them, lay it bare the way you ask for advise here.

i believe, if they truly love you they will give you the same advise. is better for you to make hay while the sunshine. in order to avert the story that touch.

Some people could be funny, they are talking about indomie generation, even Structural Adjustment Program (SAP) generation didn't know, they only get to know true history not to talk of Indomie generation of yesterday.

The love Nigerians had for him is only Rashidi Yekini could match that feat. We kept his calendar in our house till sometimes 93 or 94 before it was disposed off. A great player he was.

In fact, having read peoples' comments I almost wept, it's so pathetic. Though I have a cousin who graduated 11 years ago, with a very good grade, but job was not forthcoming, this January God had Changed his story, he got Federal appointment through a good Samaritan he never met one on one, the man just told him to forward his Name the way it is spelt in his results, year of graduation and Discipline.

The rest is history, my essence of this is to give hope to some people and make use of any opportunity that comes your way. If you are privilege to meet an important personality tell him straight, that you are a graduate you wouldn't mind any job, before you know it,God have answer your prayers, most especially this Aboki they are very good in helping people, regardless of your tribe or religion

As good as the idea of opening Telegram in order to censore the activities of some derailing member is good idea and a welcome development.

Although, we should not quickly forget the fact that this is a faceless platform as such, so many people are free to contribute thier quota objectively or otherwise.

On a final note, majority of people giving Intel will rather prefer thier identity to be hidden and so many other people like that, because of the fear of the unknown. Besides, telegram is just an extension of WhatsApp which is designed for people that have a little bit closeness, at least. I can tell you ahead of time, if we migrate to telegram, there will be a low patronage and the reason is not far fetch.

Thank you.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: ICPC Job Vs Lecturing Job by Drefaithful(m): 5:33pm On Aug 02, 2021
You better go for ICPC, they have a mouth watering package for thier staff, in order to discourage them from taking bribe.

But," if you like book " go for lecturing appointment. The ball is in your court, mind you if you settle for the latter, you just have to keep on reading, even if you have PhD, because if you want to grow you must write journal for publications.

Good luck

Just forward your complain to the available medium provided, and don't tell them you added an extra something.
rather tell them the mail you used is not longer valid, as such you can't continue with application they should help you out, whether to outrighly cancel it or you start afresh with another e-mail.
surely they will attend to you, though it might take them 24 or 48 hours to reply.

Nobody knows what tomorrow holds, if not for the demise of Lt Gen Attahiru, 37 RC might probably gone down the drain with Attahiru 35 RC provided he completed PMB tenure comes 2023.

But since the day they were enlisted it has been predestined that one of them will become a service chief, because the dream of every Regular Course is to have a service chief in thier set.

Besides, the Governor has forgotten the fact that, the father of his Deputy is one of the strong man in this country, Lt Gen Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, Former Chief of Army Staff as well as former National Security Adviser. And you expect him to fold his arm.

CareerRe: B.sc In Economics Or Accounting.please Advice by Drefaithful(m): 10:24pm On Jul 07, 2021
As a matter of fact, Economics seems to be your calling than Accounting, but mind you, any choice you eventually made have it at the back of your mind that you will obtain ICAN or ACCA certificate.

The contemporary world we are now require one to be a professional in one's Field, the most sought after today in labour market is professional Accountant.

In the light of the above, this is my advice

1. If you go for Economics and want to go for ICAN you will write 2 or 3 papers in Foundation level

2. If you go for Accounting, you will start your ICAN in SKILL level (semi final stage) provided ICAN accredited your School.

As a BSC holder, this is the journey to become a chartered accountants
1. FOUNDATION LEVEL
2. SKILL LEVEL
3. PROFESSIONAL LEVEL

By and large, the ball is in your court, looking forward to see you in a greater position in life

Thank you.
PoliticsRe: DSS Butchered Saheed Adisa 'Adogan' After 48 Bullets Failed To Penetrate - ICYMI by Drefaithful(m): 9:52pm On Jul 03, 2021
Let us reason well, for someone that withstood 48 bullets, definitely he was also armed and as such he might have returned fire.

In fact, at least he ought to have killed one person with his ammunition.

Finally, who was counting the shot that got it accurately that it was 48 bullets that was shot at him. All the above assertions require a thorough scrutiny.
