here is the thread, the actual blog post was the 4th or 5th one
There are two contradicting posts in that blog

Another person stated

actually i know of a family friend of ours who was on that same flight, come to think of it. He too was shocked at the treatment of the deportee stating that the police physically assaulted the man terribly and that it was quite unnecessary
Meh. That's why I dont take most blogs seriously esp when it comes to "special events", everyone wnats to be part of the action claiming I know a friend that knows a friend that knows one dude who went to school with,

Meh rather just wait for the real news I guess

There is also another thread, where someone posted the blog of, i think a British blogger, who said that MR. Omo actually got aggressive. She confirmed it with a few people on the flight.
I'd actually like to read an update from the cops or one of the 135 pessangers that were first removed

anywhere where's the link for said blog?

I had a serious verbal altercation with a check out girl for Air france and while in Paris,an air france employee challenged my husband to a fist fight.
The people are uncultured.
shocked What happened? What caused that? My last trip to Nigeria was with Air France. It was fine

n forget "world airline" a few Christmases ago that dumped Nigerian holiday makers in Ghana and turned back.
As far as they were concerned, they were in West Africa and can find their way home from Accra.
Rofl. grin I remember that. I couldnt stop laughing when a family friend told my parents the story.
However, i doubt the cops in the UK can act shady when 135 passengers are watching. . .
Besides, with CCTV cameras lying everywhere, its hard to find a bent police officer.
I am 99% sure the guy acted like a superman simply because he is a Brit. . . I know people like that.
Their mentality is . . . . .Afterall, i can't be deported. . . I have the same right as Prince Harry!!!!! grin grin grin

Of course, u have to pay MORE to get the premium service. . .
Do u really think people like me that board 1st class are idiots and we don't know we can save some loose change to buy stuffs? tongue tongue
Join the gravy train and stop lounging in em ecomomy class.
Again if they couldnt act like that amongst so many people why did those same people protest which cause the ruckus in the place?

It is because of unforseen contingencies like unruly deportees, wailing babies, niggaz with attitude and stuffs that i pay more.
But I thought you said you could handle such noise abi? Or is it that cos some people dont have the money to pay for such "luxuries' that they should be forced to deal with such annoyances?

I thought you cared about others, Jackal  undecided or just the rich ones?

To eliminate such contingencies, why don't u buy yourself a 1st class seat!!!!

Isnt it ironic that the only way you can enjoy not having to deal with wailing deporetees is by speanding more money to be in first class

D-RELOADED
I have read through the Thread, I think you have a narrow-minded view of a deportee < not an insult > Deportees are not Criminals like that oh! some make honest living.
Obviously you must have broken some sorta law to be taken back to your country against your will, abi no be so?

Never said they dont make honest living. I dont believe I implied that they are all "yahooze" or anything, buit obviously something must have been done wrong for such to happen? Right?

On the other hand, the Guy in the case wasn't complaining about the ranting of the deportee as to how it affects his comfort, but rather, acccording to  the journals was trying to be an activist to what he shouldnt have being active in. he complained about the handling of the deportee
The first thing he mentioned in the article is that the dude's whining was persistant. That is What Got ME. Im respondiong to this whole situation as more of a matter of comfort. Not the fact that oh a Nigerian was arrested blah blah. It's possibly he tried to play SuperMan. That's speculation though and i'd like to know more about that before i make my mind up and why are people going "I doubt they would have, ", wetin you doubt? Cops are known all over for gross misconduct so im not gonna immediately take their side. I have no problem with officers. Never have but Im not in denial to believe that all of them are upstanding people. It's not true.

I personally find it hard to believe that the Police will treat him like that without any sort of provocation, - not in front of the 135 passengers on board,
If that were true the same 135 passengers wouldnt have protested, abi?  huh

Knowing how uncouth Nigerians can be the guy obviously did more than saying "please don't kill the guy"
He must have called them out of their names, and constituted a nuisance to the flight crew and like the article says,he became a spokesman for the ocassion.
That is possible and like I said if such happened, I'd be the first to say once again "he deserved it" but until they bring out another article or video saying he did more than "please dont kill him" or mentioning how the crying went on more than 20 mins, Im gonna say the arrest was unnecessary.

We all deserve peace and quiet. Either in a $7 movie theatre or $2000 flight.

Please do so and wait for other senile people of your age group. You know the ones dealing with dementia.

First off your claim that criminals are allowed to rioam free to court date. That depends on the situation. NOT ALL criminals are allowed such

Secondly, I still want to know why he wasnt charged immediately. After all they have "evidence" that he "interfered", couyt is where you know whether the charge STICKS or not and your article says nothing about his court date having to do with the police. If anything the article just proves he was held for a while then after a few hrs he was later just released.
Other articles show that the court arrangement was made by HIM in regards to protesting his treatment by them in regards to BA

All these agbayas can't even admit when they are wrong. Pitiful. Instead they rather play games.

Because the system allows for you to roam free until your court date. Call the police department to ask them of these things please. I find it hard to believe that someone who lives in the United states is asking me these questions. If you are not sure if he broke the law, look it up instead of continuing this baseless debating of yours. What he did was not right. He could have easily be slammed with obstruction charges and slammed for it. He was fined. I believe the article states that. He was asked to appear in court, even. Did you read the article??
he's going to court because he's protesting how he was treated

I'm still waiting for you to tell me why he wasnt kept in the slammer.

He was NOT charged. He was later on bailed. Why? He "broke" the law and "interfered" with police business right? They should have charged him, dont you think?

What happened happened as it should did and should have been worse if the book was to be thrown on the man who felt it was his place to ACT AS SAVIOUR when the law is clearly against such acts.
Riight. Why didnt they book him then. Why didnt he pay a fine? Why isnt he in court? After all he went against the "law" and all. Abi? Why not lock him up and throw away the key if he truly broke the law?

Paying customers have the right to some peace and tranquility but i wouldn't be doing a macho man if i was on board.
I assure you if the crying persisted after an hr, someone else would have spoken up and you've yet to say that you would have been fine with someone whining like a shot dog for 8 hrs

and what exactly is wrong with sedation? If said person wants to be disruptive, sedate them and have 'em wake up in Murtala. What's the problem? I say either sdeate or get a different plane for them. Simple. Im sure most of the people on that craft didnt pay to be entertained by Monsieur CryBaby.

You complain about things not being right according to YOU in NY where you live and I ask you to move to free your mind. I myself have moved around a lot myself. I moved from Delaware to NY to Alabama to Georgia and so many places until I ended up here. My move has been for me to find a place where I can best fit in and thrive and I suggest you consider that instead of sitting down in the same place and blaming government and everyone else for your misery. There is so much world out there that there is no excuse for you to remain living a miserable existence in anyplace at all. If your state is not thriving, move out to the other states where the economy there happens to be booming even NOW.
Where did I say that? and as for the rest of that sermon, um I fail to see how any of that has anything to do with the situation at hand? who said anything about moving or what not. I'm talking about how things are done on planes and you are saying a whole lot of garbage about changing states and other rubbish. What concerns where I live or Ny with Briotish Airways? My friend.
@ D-reloaded,

This is hilarious. . . . But where would u want deportees to be? In a bloody canoe?
They should have special planes for them, Jackal

I hear Iberia has terrible molue-ish planes. Let them ride on that.  grin

There's no way you can tell me that if you heard someone go on and on about death for an entire flight of 8 hrs, you wouldnt be ticked off at botgh the person and the damn airline for allowing such noise to take place. Children sef, I expect something to be done if I hear them cryiong for more than 25 mins. Shio

Furthermore, The Nigerian geezer that was bounced out for complaining musta gone over the top.
If there's proof stating that jhe made a ruckus ie screaming at the odfficers or trying to get physical in the situation. I'd be the first to say he deserved it. However if it was just merely concern over the fact that the noise of the detainee was persistant, then I have a problem

The Nigerian deportee was just making a scene. . . .
I understand that, typical Naija way. However I just don't find it fair that people should be forced to deal with that. Paying customers are entitled to epace and quiet. Is that really too much to ask for

Infact they should have sedated the bastard after the first 10 mins of the whining. Gosh afterall isnt that better than having to deal with noise for hrs on end. That shouldnt be hard to understand.
TravelRe: 136 Ba Passengers Removed From Jet Over Deportee Row by Dreloaded(f): 7:20pm On Apr 14, 2008
Kobojunkie:
I seriously doubt that claim of yours @D-Reloaded. By the way, did you know that the Top 1% of this country pays about 70% total of taxes each yearhuh So please if you feed you would want to pay for the planes which you propose as way to stop your people from learning to OBEY THE LAW, I SAY you go ahead and Pay the money then so that we do not have issues where you jump to cry NIGERIA FOUL like this. This practice has been going on for decades now but as soon as some Nigerians break the law and get arrested for it, you decide the best way is to BUY PRIVATE planes for transporting the deportees insteadhuh LMAO!!!!
If you werent blind, you'd see that I've said many times that my concern has nothing to do with the fact that said dude is Nigerian. Get over yourself. It's right there in my first post.

The only thing I talked about was the fact that deportees are STILL being placed in commercial airlines. I knew about such before but I long assumed that they stopped the practice and I think it's PATHETIC that nothing has been done about it.

It's like carrying criminals on a commercial bus on the way to prision. Seeing that alot of commercial buses' routes actually go by certain prisons, would it make sense to have a police officer in the back with an arrested criminal hoping to hop off once they get near that destination, all in the name of "saving money". Give me a bloody break. If they wouldnt do that for the safety of passengers on buses why the hell should they do it on commercial planes?

Dont know how anyone can defend such madness. Having people cry in your ears for 8 hrs and actual;ly be fine with it because you know the great oyibo people are trying to save us money. Nonsense. Why don't they put such people in first class sef and lets see if the "first classersd" wouldnt complain seeing that they are paying EVEN more than "regular" passengers.
No regards for people. Ugh

You know good and well that you were referring to ALL US cops and not just the one in NY,
Um then why didnt I just say "American cops" or the "cops of the US" in the original post?  huh

I know why I didnt write that. I live in NY, have been here for 17 years, I can mainly give personal examples from here, why would I mention the whole United States seeing that laws and law enforcers differ abit in various states?  Instead for YOU to admit YOUR error of mistaking the state of NY for USA, you are now yarning garbage and trying to make me claim something I never did.

Please go back to licking British ass and comot from my face. You're a pitiful person.

This is the same retard that was getting all high and mighty huffing about the fact she took a bunch of "horrible Nigerians" to a Japanese resturant as her way of showing them around London. Cos you know the garbage you like must be liked by everyone else so they are "ungrateful animals that should go back to their country". Foolish hick. Even though I'm not even a fan of lubracrasi like that, Im glad he put you and your pathetic self into check

Bet you're one those tarts who go around claiming "British with Nigerian parentage" Disgraceful troll.

Dont even know why I'm arguing with you. Nothing the Brits or anyone in the West does is wrong in your eyes.
