You just assume atheists are living frustrated lives. Don't worry I will open a thread about my life as an atheist. The only thing I regret was ever being a christian. Now I have to keep explaining myself to christian friends and family, that is the only frustration atheism has brought to me. Family and friends keep thinking I am into ogboni or something and you know why? They see that all of a sudden I am doing well for myself. Now self employed, in fact I was one of those who benefited immensely from Jonathan's government, budget has been passed and I will continue making progress.
I lived a life of poverty and shame as a christian. Even the pastor insulted me several times. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the church just to spite them that my level has changed.

Atheism makes you more responsible, calculating and directly inspired to succeed. You adapt easily in all situations as there is no religious limitation. We don't have enemies.
When I fail, I blame myself not satan or curses or anything spiritual. You see life in a better perspective and you are geared for success.

I was living a delusion, thinking that a Jew spirit who dictated the Bible was listening to my prayers. I was like a child who thought that a fairy was watching over my tooth when in reality it was the mother removing them.

The child grows old and recognizes that fairies don't exist. Likewise, I outgrew my delusion. I could no longer make excuses for your Bible god. It is a tooth fairy.

Hardmirror, I read part 1 and part 2(didnt finish both but read enough) and the people and places you mentioned are real. Dr agunloye, futa, Pastor Sola Areogun, ọba ńlá etc. However I find it very very difficult to reconcile your stories with your comments and replies to believers who are engaging you in a war of words.
I can't believe you actually had those experiences ( Word of knowledge & discernment of spirits).

You seem to me like any other regular 'hatist' (different from atheist). The hatist (my own coinage) actively opposes anything that has to do with God, faith and religion. They go as far as bringing texts from the books of religions to attack the adherents of that religion. Some characteristics they all share is Anger, hate and an incredible ability to insult. You can go through your own comments and that of your new found friends to see for yourself.

An ATHEIST on the other hand doesn't believe in God, doesn't care about religion, doesn't even talk or think about it.

I was once threading the dark and lonely Road to atheism / hatism ( 2014, no thanks to NAIRALAND) however, what I came to realise was that Atheism has NO ANSWERS!!! It just resorts to science, logic, experiences, stories (either true or untrue) and 'contradictions' in various religious books. It always looks for and rests on something else. It can't stand alone.
Science on its own is neutral (both atheist and religious people can be successful scientists). Science can't make a right thinking believer become atheist or vice versa. I'm a science student so I know this well.

Well, I wish you well on your new path. I won't pray for your redemption or your destruction ( neither of them interest Me) .

There are certain encounters in the journey of an individual which birth a lifestyle of holiness in the individual. This is why we should always pray to God to encounter a touch of His glory. When Jesus was addressing His followers on the mountain, He taught them among other things the necessity of having a pure heart. Purity of the heart, as far as God is concerned, is a basic requirement in achieving and maintaining an uninterrupted fellowship with God. This is because the heart of man is the engine of his life. The heart, according to the Bible should be guided diligently, because out of it are the issues of life.
The pure in heart refers to a heart that contains no other thing apart from God and His counsel. According to Philippians 4:8:
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise think on these things."

The intents and contents of the human life go on in the heart, so God is interested in the purity of our hearts. If the heart is pure, it will be reflected in the actions of a man. God wants our heart to be yielded to Him and not to the world or the pleasures in it. When the heart is pure, it will produce transparency in our dealings with other people. When our heart is pure, the motive behind our actions will not be evil spoken of and when they are misconstrued for something else; we will always have a good conscience towards God. A pure heart produces holy living.
"Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit." Matthew 12:33

I want you to examine your heart, is it pure? Are your motives correct? Are you speaking the truth in that report? If your heart is revealed by the Almighty God towards your boss, will he find love there or hatred? Do you really know God or are you playing along because of the crowd?
There are lots of blessings attached to having a pure heart. When your heart is holy and pure, there will be no iota of fear and condemnation in you. You will have unlimited access to your Maker because there is no hindrance in you. Purity of heart will make you never lack the help of the Almighty God because He is interested in the cases of those whose hearts are pure and humble, He is committed to helping them (Psalms 73:1, 2 Chronicles 16:9). You need to nail all your affections to the cross and make your heart right with God. Exercise dominion over self and sin, both within and without. This just happened last night, I had a dream, and in the dream I was lying down somewhere and this scary looking creature was trying to attack me, the creature was trying to scare me, buh i wasn't scared, I started rebuking it in the name of the Lord, I was so bold and confronting it heads on, then later I jst started laughing, i laughed so hard, and i woke up suddenly still laughing, then I saw them; right in my room, two very tall demons, they were holding something that looked like a hand fan and were trying to fan me or something, I was still laughing, then they vanished. I got really angry in the spirit, then started praying and speaking in tongues, I pointed to the direction where I saw them and prayed with all boldness. I don't know why I was laughing in the dream right to the point where I woke up. Have never experienced something like this before. Of a truth greater is He that is in me than he that is in them. God is really with me. satan is fighting a lost battle. Glory be to God.

charlyg1 oyeludef vooks analice107, and others I fail to mention. This is one of the most enlightening thread have ever come across on nairaland. I started reading from page1 on thurs and I got to page 35 before I decided to seek for advice from you all. Pls forgive me, this might be a long.
I got exposed to pornography at a very early stage of my life which resulted to me becoming a CHRONIC masturbator. I knew masturbating was a sin, but each time I decide to stop, I went as far as only a couple of days, before plunging farther into this sin. This sin drained me spiritually as I started having sex dreams, the sex dreams were occurring on a regular basis that it became normal to me.
Fast forward to some years ago, I got saved and my determination got stronger to forsake the evil addiction. God took glory, and I can boldly say now that it's a thing of the past. Along with my salvation came a yearning and thirst for God and His word like never before.
Last year I started believing God for something in my life, but it wasn't forthcoming. I prayed and prayed but it wasn't forthcoming. Recently a word of knowledge came to me that what was preventing the manifestation of what I was seeking was the demons that I had unknowingly invited into my life through masturbation.Ok, they say a problem is half solved once the cause is determined. I knew i needed to head striaght to mfm for deliverance right away, but my hubby doesnt believe in such and would never permit to go for any deliverance anywhere. so I started a series of warfare prayer on my own using some mfm books backed with fasting to attack the spirit husband. The sex dreams stopped only for it to start again after some time. I got angry in my spirit after the last sex dream, and started another 14days prayer and fasting, backed with serious warfare prayer session. To my astonishment, right in the middle of the prayer and fasting, I had the sex dream again, not once and not even twice. Let me reiterate that God has given me the grace to flee from sin for a while now, and I yearn and long for Him like never before.
Now my dilemma is this, why am I still having this sex dreams even after forsaking sin and becoming a new creature in Christ, after all the bible says.... "old things have passed away and all things have become new". It also says "he who the son sets free is free indeed". Why have I not gotten my freedom even after being born again and series of prayer and fasting. The bible also says..... "upon mount Zion there shall be delivrance". But mine seems to be elusive. Do I need to go to a BIBLE BELEIVING CHURCH to get delivered, can't I pray and fast on my own and be delivered. Am currently on another praying and fasting session, yet I still had this sex dream last night.
Pls good brethren of Christ, I need your opinion on this.
May God give us the grace to remain steadfast in Him. Amen

In the Bible, Jesus broke some laws:

1. He first broke the law of biology by coming to this world through a virgin. If you ask a doctor they will tell you it is impossible.


2. He broke the law of chemistry by turning water to wine.


3. He broke the law of physics by walking on sea.


4. He broke the law of economics by feeding 5,000 people with just 5 loafs and 2 fishes.


5. He also disagreed to mathematics which say 1+1+1 = 3 instead he said 1+1+1 is equal to 1 ( TheTrinity ).


6. He broke the law of nature, he died and came back alive.
