Hello great minds, just picked a rider from ikeja to sango otta on taxify and after ending the trip i saw 1,000(card trip). Rider also told me she's on promo but I'm yet to see any update as regards that on my dashboard. All i can see is the 1k displayed when i ended the trip. What can i do?

This happened to me last week, took a rider from Ikorodu to ikeja, normally it is a 2200-2500 trip but I noticed when I checked the "calculate price option" at Owode onirin the price was at 1200 upto ikeja (cash trip), the kilometer was wrong 10km but the time was correct, I just confirmed the price without review, when I complained later I was told I should have reviewed the price.

Got to a pick up location now, I ask the rider if I should start the trip she said yes, 2 minutes to the journey the second rider was complaining that my A/c wasn't "cold enough" that that was ow she fought with a driver that took her to ICM the other day that she cannot proceed further. A/c that I just switched on and no rider has ever complained that it is not cold enough. Happened here in CMD. I just ended the trip to avoid wahala. my loss. Or what was I suppose to do?

Corolla gang if you know your environment is not safe enough to park ur vehicle, you better employ a maiguard asap or look a safer place. Corolla theft and vandalism is on the increase now. Last week four vehicle's were said to be vandalised and just this morning two of my friend's called to report that thieves broke in at night and made away with the car brainbox and window controls including a CD player. Be warned. Prevention is better than cure.

Let me tell a small story here, on monday I was up 5am and restless, so I decided to leave the ouse really early, by 5:45am, I got to the junction of my house and turned on my uber app, I decided to go any where the wind blows, in my mind last last by 10am I would be in my workshop. Got a request and then the rains started.

Picked up rider and destination was illupeju.

According to map, ojoduberger- 7up-ojota was the fastest way there, but rider turned to choir master and started giving her own directions oba-akran-maryland- illupeju. I first showed her the red markings of traffic, but she no gree, so me I am not in a hurry to anywhere, nah so the total journey come be 1h44mins (1 hr spent in traffic) when we got to destination, I ended trip and she saw 2350 she come de shout! Said she only has 1500 but I should give my acc for the balance, me I read the rules to her, cash or card, I don't receive bank transfers I said we can go to an atm, she said she's already at work. In that case I said there's nothing I can do, You can leave have a nice day. She came down and I got another trip from same parking lot back to near my area.

Dropped passenger and pressed the report button, got a reply 20mins later that the trip I will be refunded.... Blabla bla they added another 500 for inconvenience sef. I smiled (uber for president!)

5hrs later I received another message, report on poor route, rider reported poor route trip now 0 naira
I mailed back I want my money refunded or DEACTIVATE ME I NO DRIVE AGAIN.

Omo next series of mails where sorry, please show trip and next thing I was refunded 3593naira for the 2350 trip.

Long and short there are a lot of fraudulent riders out there and from now on, once you sit in my vehicle I will ask 3 questions.

1. Where you de go?

2. If cash do you have cash on you or are we going to atm?

3. You want to play music? My auxiliary port is not working and I don't have Bluetooth so please use ur earpiece

The calculation of using a "brand new" car for e-hailing is bais. No one has done a calculation of using a nigerian used (good condition car).

I get a nigerian used car (good engine, first body etc) for.......? I spend xyz on repairs (at least it would safe nothin less than 300k compared to buying brand new or toks).

We face thesame factor such as bad road, flood, bad drivers, prone to accident, police lastma wahala new cars are more attractive to thieves.
Same fare rate, same commission, same servicing and spare part replacement.
And at the end of the day u can sell the car for almost thesame rate you bought it at nigeria used.

For example, I have a toyota Corrolla 2005 (Canada made) and I think it was bought in January 2006 first user didn't use it for upto 3 months for a little above 2 million, it's 11 years old now and if I repair it with 200k it will still go for above 1.2. Same value.

So please someone should do justice to this.

I was so happy that the pool was filled with water and I shouted for joy, thanking God for making my Desolate pool beautiful, it was so beautiful I didn't remember how ugly it was and my pain was wiped out. It was the joy that woke me up

Good morning, please I need urgent help, my car overheats when the A/C is on and water dries up in the radiator. My mechanic said I should change the fan from single cell to double cell. (Is this a lasting solution). If the A/C isn't on it works fine but the water level reduces.

The radiator fan got spoilt on the express way and I got another one that is not as big as the previous fan and it doesn't come on automatically unless the A/C is on, could it be an issue?
I use water as coolant (cos I don't know the recommended coolant for my car)

Lastly, can the engine be ringed or rebuilt in case of shotage of engine oil which is evident on a socked plug (1)? The engine revs just fine.

lol, bro Dangote refinery never employed me as an Engineer. I only had an offer some time ago with one of the contractors handling the Fertilizer plant project but rejected it cos I was not ok with the pay.
So I don't really know anything about the 13 Engineers that resigned.

Also I have shortage of engine oil, 4.5l of engine oil isn't enough for a whole month, engine light is also on. What should I do?
