I graduated from Umudike.Well,UI is cool,d environment is peaceful and a nice place 2 reside esp when u want 2 run away from Lagos wahala.
A serious student will get thru depending on your dept but d Max is 24mnths,depts like education,physics,English,chemistry,mostly sciences,education and arts should take u roughly 17mnths,devoid of strike.Engrg,and some other more difficult ones will be like 21months,so d key is more haste less speed.
D schoolfees range from 90-120k depending on dept.120k is Max for d 1st session,Students who graduated from universities other than UI pay slightly higher,like 2500 difference.d 3rd semester which is strictly for project,u pay half of d 1st semester.for example:As an engrg stud,I paid 112550(non-UI stud),d 3rd semester I pay 52k.All these are accommodation exclusive.Accommodation is 25k for a 3man room,u are guaranteed at least 18hrs power supply daily.
Am not marketing d school,but dat is no1 in d country for PG Education in Nigeria(u can verify).Like all school environments,house rent isn't that cheap,but it is cheaper compared 2 Lagos.UI pays one of d cheapest if not d cheapest at MSc level,excepting in d North.
The time frame is maintained strictly,except its ur fault.The hidden charges at dept levels are d deptal dues,association dues and all dat,its faculty-dependent,d highest u can pay is 4k dat I know of which is even in Chemistry dept.I paid 2k for mine.
No hidden charges for anythn,lab work stuffs are in your schoolfees,if any other thing u can discuss with your supervisor,d best I know here is not a place someone can just be collecting your cash.
One secret here in UI is dat,d only thing d lecturers need from u is a very good and publishable research work.that's their sole aim.Of course,u know when u publish,ur supervisor takes 60% of d glory.
80% of thesis in UI are published.We have been told already,that u MUST publish.
The lecturers have avenues and links to where these papers can b published.Do a good job,ur supervisor will open d door.

Uwc Sir,d experience is cool,and UI is the numero uno in terms of Postgraduate education cos I didn't study there in my 1st degree.They are fast and in fact one of the quickest in terms of PG Education.There are challenges though,d normal Nigeria issues,but any1 who really studied in Nigeria at Undergraduate can and will weather d storm.God help us,na small small,we dey push am,

Sorry I used ABC.bro 2015 fuel was still 87naira.now it's now 145 naira and also I guess it was cos of the season.lots of travellers.i visited kakum national park in capecoast.i and my friends did a canopy walk.was scary a bit but fun.you have to pay 50cedis for the foreigners we struck a deal to 30cedis though.They had different sections but cos of time we only did canopy walk

That's too expensive now... ABC charged me #14,800 as at June 2015, although claimed to be a student discounted price. But now am no longer a student, and no student ID Card. I hope they will reduce the price far from that.

Could remember calling with your Nigeria simcard from Benin was #60/min if you are making Call and #40/min if you are receiving, and similar charges in Accra.

Were you able to visit Kakum National Park? If yes, kindly share with us any info about the park, it's a major tourist attraction. I know for sure it's a rainforests environment with a canopy walk.. You can find a similar thing in Okomu National Park, Nigeria. I would love to visit Kakum to see Elephant at a close distance.. This is what I love doing the most, and I enjoy it... Am a Conservator. I was in Ghana on Dec 20th till Dec 24h.i used and transport and it cost me 40k to and fro.am guessing because of the Xmas period.kakum park is cool.things are very expensive.chabge your naira to cedis at Ghana border.one alhaji offers the best rates.Buy a sim card once you enter Ghana cos the roaming cost of Calls both for receiving and calling is crazy
