hastane: 1m ....2000 model at that it is better to hush rather than exhibit crass display of ignorance on other people's thread. Even if it is up for100k, you would probably still say it is either a melon or a scam. I wouldn't have bothered dissipating energy on your uninformed view but it is imperative to educate those who might be sincerely ignorant: "Model year - Wikipedia" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_year

Car Talk › Re: Es 350 Gear Oil by drhappy(m): 6:01pm On Dec 19, 2020 |
Deathissweet: 90k you don't need to bother your head about gear oil change for your car yet if truly the odometer reading is 90k (except there had been a roll back). Since you claim there is no dipstick, then your car is fitted with an electric gear (as opposed to cable gear) and the gear oil change indicator will come on eventually on the dashboard when it is due for the next oil change. At that time, you will need to replace the oil strainer or thoroughly clean it with gasoline for reuse if there is no evidence of damage aside oil replacement. Take those claiming gear oil change creates problems for gears as morons talking about what they know not. As long as you use the recommended oil for your car, you can decide to change it monthly if you have a very deep pocket and your car will be the better for it. |

drhappy: I'm a tad busy but lemme quickly say a word or two concerning your warped views sir. Your saying Dangote is driven in a new Land cruiser goes further to corroborate my stand that those who have the real money don't bother to show off wealth. Or do you think the man cannot afford the Cullinan Rolls? Secondly, your position on purchasing power + lack of credit makes me laugh. I should buy a car that could be snatched, totalled or outrightly destroyed by a minor spark on credit simply because of the fleeting smell of new nylon and rubber? You prolly don't live in naija else you would have been conversant with the stress of insurance paperworks and hidden clauses which might end up translating to less than the amount you got the car in the first place. I appreciate and recognise your right to use your money whichever way you deem fit since you appear to be of the "now now" generation but I take exception to your saying old cars are trash. I know many accomplished(not only in monetary terms) peeps using old cars without stress and that's something I can easily relate with. I will advise you look for those who know their onions when it comes to automobiles on Nairaland and research into what they power for better insight. Cars mean different things to different people which made me personalise my initial post on this discourse. |

TransAtlanticEx: Dangote is driven in brand new landcruisers. What are you talking about? Oga old cars are trash, make we no dey use because of poverty(low purchasing power+lack of credit) dey talk gibberish. It's better to buy a brand new Toyota rush than a 10 year old mercedes. I'm a tad busy but lemme quickly say a word or two concerning your warped views sir. Your saying Dangote is driven in a new Land cruiser goes further to corroborate my stand that those who have the real money don't bother to show off wealth. Or do you think the man cannot afford the Cullinan Rolls? Regular peeps driving new Toyotas full town na. Secondly, your position on purchasing power + lack of credit makes me laugh. I should buy a car that could be snatched, totalled or outrightly destroyed by a minor spark on credit simply because of the fleeting smell of new nylon and rubber? IkpuMmadu: Bro,I think that the concept of outdated is just funny, cars still maintain the same principles ... Example the engine combustion haven't changed much and the trans hasn't either
In USA folks still drive 1980s cars oh europe is the worst, you still get vintage citroen cars and moris minor
So I think it is all about maintainnce... Many cars of old are even much better of today's plastics
Maybe I am wrong you are not wrong but full of wisdom. I personally believe the "newness" of anything is a function of time as a brand new car today will end up as outdated eventually. My views about vehicles bothers on reliability and my comfort before considering the perceptions of others. As long as a car can move me from point A to B without hassles, the year of production is inconsequential. I would rather channel the extra cash on more enduring legacies unlike cars that you will get tired of after a couple of years on our terrible roads. Lastly, do you realise those who have money they truly worked for are usually not "latest" freaks? Kindly look up Bill Gates, Carlos Slim or even Dangote. Their common lifestyle reflects why they are up where they are today. |

IkpuMmadu: actually there is nothing like v4... it's just a 4 cylinder engine
in benz anything from 320 upwards is a 6 cylinder and a V6
anything from 450 upward in benz is an 8 cylinder and a V8
C320 is best ....
w203 ... go for 2005 model in Benz, anything from 320 240 upward is a 6 cylinder(inline) or a V6 engine (240, 280, 300, 320 and 350) |

nwanneni: . All 4 tires brand New!!!nothing like toks in my diary I don't wanna die I won't totally bank on that mate. Naija's SON is virtually non-existent. For all you care, those "brand new" rubbers could have been refurbished in the backwood of Agbara or the hovel of Ngbuka. |
