So yesterday, 3rd of May 2018, Big Brother Naija winner, Miracle Igbokwe was hosted at his state, Imo, by the state government.

The 23-yr-old who hails from Umuoba Uratta in Owerri North LGA, of Imo State was conferred with Imo State Education Award by the Governor and government of Imo State, a plot of land from any place of his choice in Imo and a whooping sum of N2million Naira was also given to him.

While Nina, his cupid counterpart got the same sum, with the state governor adding that it was okay for her since she was already receiving the free education program.

Recall that the state governor, Rochas Okorocha already made Miracle Ambassador for Education which set social media in a frenzy, as they are yet to understand what role BBNaija or Miracle had on Education.

Miracle Igbokwe arrived along side former housemates; Nina, BamBam, Teddy A.

A catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Dr Kevin Ugoamadi, who is the Parish Priest of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish Akwakuma, in Owerri North LGA. Imo State on Sunday was attacked by some hoodlums during mass.

This is coming months after another Catholic Priest, Rev. F. Cyriacus Onunkwo was kidnapped and killed in the State!

This came after the priest made a disclaimer about one Mr. Solomon Ohakosim who has been parading himself as a catholic priest, extorting money from people and causing commotions in any community he stepped in.

Mr Solomon popularly known as ‘Monsignor’ is on a liberation mission at Akwakuma in Owerri North LGA. and from investigations made by the church discovers that this Solomon who hails from Okporo Orlu of Imo State is not a catholic by birth talk of being a catholic priest and the priest trying to warn these people involved towards the end of the mass was attacked by some boys from the community which was whisked away by members of the church.


Following this development, a parishioner who is a Senior Police officer invited some members of the Special Anti Robbery Squad {SARS} to intervene, the police officers were said to be in the church till the situation was calmed down.

Speaking with the priest, he confirmed some boys actually attacked him while speaking but he insisted saying the truth must be told. He also alleged that a number called him at the late hours of Sunday threatening his life and with some other parishioners quoting same.

Solomon has been to so many communities in Imo State like Amatta, Akabo of Ikeduru, Ideato North and South and some other communities.

We call on the general public and the appropriate authorities to please join their voices in spreading this gospel and to be very careful on whom we call man of God. God is a God of peace and not of confusion and troubles.

Tributes are currently pouring in on social media for a promising young Nigerian man, Chidubem Ezeagu, who was reportedly lured by a friend and gruesomely murdered and buried in a shallow grave.

The lifeless and already decaying body of the Nigerian footballer from Umuelele, Irete, Owerri West LGA in Imo State was discovered on Friday 23rd of February 2018 by search party after he went missing last Sunday.[irp]

From what could be gathered by OTOWNLOADED, Chidubem got a call while he was about to eat and left immediately, that was reportedly the last he was seen, all efforts to reach him or know his whereabouts proved futile, a search party was created, comprising most of the community's youths and after some days, his body was found not far away from the community, he had been gruesomely murdered and buried.[irp]

His friends and most Imo celebrities took to their various social media pages to mourn him.

Governor Rochas Okorocha’s Free Education in Imo State has been commended as it marks its 7th year on February 14, 2018 with an Anniversary event.

The Anniversary which will be held at the famous Heroes Square Owerri, Imo State amongst other events will be concluded with performances by Phyno, Timaya, Ruff Coin, Slow Dog and others.

There is also a brand new Kia Rio car to be won by a teacher in the state, while there are also other prizes for both teachers and students.

According to the Lead Organizer, Hon. Ugonna Uzuruigbo, the Deputy Speaker, Imo House of Assembly and the Chairman, House Committee on Tourism, the event is worth the celebration because free education in Imo State has turned the state around for the better.
