GreaterFuture:Two weeks ago. Not every news make it to the media. |
GreaterFuture:He was a student of a private University in one of the Western states, was feeling feverish, no underlying illness. He was tested for malaria which came out positive; he was given anti-malarial drugs but he did not get better so they decided to test for Covid and it came out positive and they started the treatment but the boy died. |
pocohantas:Even if you decide to do your traditional wedding in the city, village people will still be sent for iju ese and other rituals and even the items on the list can still be sent to ndi obodo but you can actually have your ceremony in the city. |
IkpuMmadu:Introducing the lady to village people is different from holding the traditional wedding in the city. |
IkpuMmadu:They did not go to the village. They sent money to the village and the list was sent to them, they sent back the money equivalent of the list and the village gave their blessing. Impossibility is nothing. |
Covid is real. I recently contacted Covid-19. Breathing was difficult, sense of smell was gone... I immediately went into isolation, took my medications and backed it with ginger, garlic and lemon and within 8 days, I went from worse to good. Please wear your nose masks always. Be safe and protect yourself always. I know an 18 year old student of a private university that died recently from Covid. The number reported on the media is less than the actual number that contact and die from it. |
Sebastine1994:It is possible. I recently did MC for an Igbo couple in Ajah who did both their traditional and white wedding in Lagos. You can contact me to anchor the event if na Lagos una dey. |
Whiteshield:Alex Ekwueme was vice president in 1983. |
Providing enough sanitary materials, cleaners etc is the right thing to do Most public schools in Nigeria especially boarding secondary schools and universities with hostel facilities are worse than dung hills. The rooms are overcrowded, the corridors and passages are very dirty, the bathrooms are eyesores while the toilets are worse than hell; either full, overflowing with sh*t and maggots or the soakaways are full and broken. Students should equally imbibe the culture of cleanliness which is next to godliness as many students are very dirty and even worsen the already bad situation. |
Is it not Nigeria again where merit is sacrificed on the altar of ethnicity and mediocrity. There are lots of qualified legal luminaries who would have been nominated for the position, but no; it must be Ishaq because he is from the famous 97% region. This present government is all shades of wrong, nasty, brutish, clannish, nefarious, nebulous, plastic, insensitive, immoral and disasterous. |
Wow! You mean 900 million votes were recorded? Nigeria and indeed Africa is blessed with people who elevate mediocrity over meritocracy. During elections that would benefit them, they would be at home, on the field playing soccer and on the streets of twitter doing rubbish and the evil politicians will rig themselves into power and continue looting our commonwealth with joyous abandon. On the other hand, some people will opine that they voted because they knew it would account; which is true but we must rise to protect our votes in subsequent elections. Multichoice is really cashing out big time. |
Dear Wike, Please pay the pensioners their entitlements. Do not let the devil use you. These are frail old people who are faced with increasing inflation, high cost of transportation, hike in electricity bills and high cost of food and other essential services but without a source of livelihood save their pension. Please pay them now because it is their due and they deserve it. They are not begging you but asking you to do what is right and quickly too. We have seen the roads you are building, the cars you gave to judges and your efforts in Edo state and we laud you for that but if our case is not given utmost attention, the gobe will start moving to Mowe. Kindly do the needful without further delay Warm regards, Rivers state pensioners. |
Covenant university is the best among the rest in Nigeria and among the very best in Africa. |
SmartPolician:I will not dignify your virulent vituperation with a response, I rather walk away from your sycophantic shenanigans with my head held high. |
Coldie:I am still waiting for him. |
Shit happens. People lose their jobs and are entitled to collect 25% of their contributory pension. What is the government doing to ensure those who lost their jobs get new jobs? Has the government created an enabling environment for commerce and private business ventures to thrive? The multiple taxation and extortionist tendencies of governments across board has ended up stifling businesses instead of helping them grow. People who do business in Nigeria will tell you that it is very difficult to break even let alone make profit in business; if these and many other issues like epileptic power supply, failed infrastructure and the likes are not addressed, retrenchment and redundancy as well as underemployment will continue to be recurring decimals in Nigeria. |
Abagworo:Can you please mention the companies, where they are located and what they are into so we can verify. Do we have reliable and verifiable data? Most data churned out in Nigeria are false and geared towards political correctness and to score cheap political points. |
Snapping substandard roads and other shoddy jobs which does not engender human and capital development are not the hallmark of development. You guys should quit this boot-licking and sycophancy. The government is elected to construct roads, build bridges, provide functional and equipped hospitals and schools, create jobs and provide enabling environment for private businesses to thrive. How many enduring legacies and infrastructure do we have in Imo state? Orlu and Okigwe are glorified urban settlements that lack basic amenities; even Owerri the state capital is grappling with poor infrastructure; how many years has MCC road, Chukwuma Nwoha etc been under construction? How many industries are functioning and employing people in the state? Even state owned factories like Ada palm, Avutu poultry, the ceramics company and even Concorde hotels have been run aground and sold off to cronies. You guys have to wake up cos the dagger that did the damage still drips with blood. |
I know he would be regretting his foolishness now. Zoooooombieeeeeeee |
The security of lives property is one of the primary duties of government and if the present government cannot secure us, they have to resign asap. It is disheartening that the security apparatus of this country has failed little wonder hostage taking, kidnapping, banditry, cattle rustling, armed robbery and all other forms of criminality continue to thrive in Nigeria. The president has not demonstrated enough initiative and responsiveness and by retaining the service chiefs, has exhibited tacit support for mediocrity and non-performance. |
It is the duty of the government to protect lives and property of the citizens and obviously, both the federal and state governments have failed. The killings and carnage in Southern Kaduna leaves much to be desired and it is high time the people of that area set up vigilante groups and other security apparatuses to protect themselves as the murderous herdsmen would stop at nothing in annihilating the Christian population of Southern Kaduna. Christians also should support their folks there because injury to one is injury to all. The continued silence of Buhari and El-Rufai on this issue is also bad and accentuates the purported "Fulani agenda" |
Covenant university is the best university in Nigeria and among the best in Africa; I have been there over 20 times. The architectural design of the school is top notch. All staff have their quarters based on their salary, there is free wifi for all staff and students, a shopping mall, a medical centre, a farm and schools- creche, primary and secondary. CU na complete package abeg. |
You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Fighting over which state between Imo and Anambra that is better; is this how your Biafra would work? You should take your governors to task to entrench good governance, build lasting infrastructure, encourage industrialization and reduce corruption to the barest minimum. The Igbo states are lagging behind in terms of good governance and enduring infrastructure and all Igbos should rise up and condemn maladministration that is prevalent in Imo, Abia and Enugu states. |
Every good mother deserves the very best from their children. Some mothers are from hell because they serially abused their children and turned their homes into a war front with the children the worst for it. May God bless all good mothers and give them long life and good health to enjoy the fruit of their labour. |
A woman of substance. Since she died, I have not heard anything about NAFDAC except their registration of sachet water. Even their current D.G. is not known by many people. |
Is that so? The way officials in Nigeria lie with impunity is disheartening. Currently, electricity tariff has increased across board and man is here telling us lies. How do they want to cushion the effect on poor people? What is the modality in determining who is poor or not. The time has come for us to rise up and fight against all those who have pilfered our commonwealth. The dagger that did the damage still drips with blood. |
This is wickedness. The truth is that women are their own worst enemy, later she would turn around and blame the innocent man who was only robbed in to do the bidding of the malevolent female. Both the girl and the rapists should be put away for a long time. I hate rape in its entirety. |
alfonso36:Yes |
KunleOyedele:I responded to what was put out by the press but you know that the high and mighty have a strong disregard for court processes and pronouncements so when stories like this come out to the public domain, many people would believe the commoner was wrongly ejected. |
alfonso36:Dear Alfonso, I am a political scientist. What ails you? |
The news is true,he died of cardiac arrest. He was due to step down as Burundi"s president by August this year having spent 15 years as president; he was aged 55. He became president at 40 years |
Impunity of the ruling class and bourgeoisie as well as their disregard for court rulings and the judiciary is a recurring decimal. If you do not have money in this Nigeria, you have no rights, such a pity. Homelessness is something I do not wish for anybody. May God bless all legit hustlers to build their own houses. |
