Religion / The Messanger Angel For Friday September 16th by driveiwe(m): 4:59am On Sep 16, 2016
He’s Counting On You .

Friday, September 16th .
Pastor Chris

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Romans 1:16).

As Christians, we’ve received the mandate to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth; it’s a most sublime and high calling. It’s something you’re to do with all boldness, faith, courage, and conviction. You must never be ashamed or apologetic about Christ and the message of the Gospel. Don’t be ashamed of who you are in Him, and don’t let others make you ashamed of what you believe. Paul said, “…I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth…” (Romans 1:16).

It’s only the Gospel that can catapult the sinner to salvation and righteousness. It’s only through the preaching of the Gospel that the righteousness of God can be unveiled and embraced. So, there’re no options to the Gospel. Its power and efficacy are incontrovertible; it’s the only message that, when received, makes sinners sons of God, in a moment of time.

In 2 Timothy 1:13, Paul said to Timothy, “Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.” That means the words of the Gospel are potent, filled with inspiration, power and divine energy. No sinner should be around you over a period without being transformed and impacted by the power of the Gospel that you bear. Be determined about that. Be so fired up with the Gospel that its impact in men’s lives, and spread around the world is all that matters to you.

The Bible says those that turn many to righteousness shall shine as stars forever (Daniel 12:3); shine for the Master by making an impact with the Gospel. Go the extra mile. Like Jesus, let your meat (what matters the most to you) be to do the will of the Father, and finish His work (John 4:34). Let it be what you live for. He’s counting on you for the salvation of many in your world, and in the regions beyond. Therefore, be faithful in your responsibility as a soul winner.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for entrusting me with the divine responsibility of reaching those in my world and in distant lands with the message of eternal life. The light of your glorious Gospel that I bear dispels the darkness in the hearts of the unconverted, destroying the bonds of religion and establishing them in your righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study: || Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. ||

|| 2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. ||

|| 1 Corinthians 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! ||

Politics / $20m Accounts: Patience Jonathan May Forfeit N10bn Hotel To FG(pictures) by driveiwe(m): 3:47am On Sep 13, 2016
Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, may forfeit to the Federal Government, a N10bn hotel allegedly belonging to her if she fails to explain how she came about some funds allegedly traced to her accounts.

“This is one of the questions she may have to answer as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission continues investigation into the $20m found in five accounts she has laid claim to,” a source told our correspondent on Monday.

The hotel, which is known as Aridolf Resort Wellness and Spa, Yenagoa, was inaugurated by Patience in April 2015, barely a month before the end of her husband’s tenure.

According to a UK business newspaper, The Financial Times, the hotel, which has imported state-of-the-art furniture, can compete with other luxury hotels in developed countries.

The report dated April 21, 2015, states in part, “The Aridolf Hotel in Yenagoa is an unlikely monument to kitsch on a reclaimed swamp in Nigeria’s oil-producing Niger Delta. In the lobby, Louis XIV furniture is accompanied by bowls of plastic fruit, faux Dutch landscapes and a grotesquely gaudy chandelier. The hotel is redolent of the riches on display in a region that for half a century has generated the bulk of Nigeria’s wealth.

“The Aridolf, which is owned by Patience Jonathan, wife of the former President, is symptomatic of how superficial progress has been in addressing the festering sense of marginalisation in the region, which remains desperately impoverished despite benefiting from a tide of petrodollars in recent years.”

The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay, told our correspondent that the EFCC had the right to investigate anybody who was living above his or her means.

He said anybody, who failed to do so, could risk forfeiture of properties believed to have been obtained through stolen funds or could lose funds traced to him or her.

Sagay, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, wondered how Patience, who was a civil servant and never held any government position, could have billions in her bank accounts.

He said, “The EFCC and ICPC Acts have provisions under which they can ask the court to freeze the account of a person if a person’s capacity to earn is below the amount of money that the person appears to have.

“If you are living a lavish lifestyle and it appears you don’t have the means to have acquired the property and the wealth you have, the EFCC is free to probe you.”

Patience recently sued Skye Bank and the EFCC for freezing four company accounts which have a balance of $15m.

The former first lady also has another account with the title, ‘Patience Ibifaka Jonathan’ which has a balance of $5m. The account is, however, still active.

The PUNCH had reported that four of the accounts belonged to Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited, Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Limited, Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited and Globus Integrated Service Limited.

The anti-graft commission believed that a former Special Adviser to the President on Domestic Affairs, Waripamowei Dudafa, forged the identities of his domestic servants to open the four accounts while the fifth account was opened in the name of Patience.

The domestic servants were, however, denied access to the accounts while a platinum card was issued to Patience.

The EFCC froze the accounts of the four companies which were initially believed to be owned by Dudafa until Patience stated last week that the four accounts belonged to her.

The EFCC is set to arraign Dudafa and some bank officials for alleged fraud.

However, Mr. Joseph Okobieme, the lawyer to Demola Bolodeoku, one of the bank officials, said his client did not take part in forging the signatures of the domestic servants/directors.

He said, “I don’t know why he was included in the charge. He has no business in this transaction. He was merely doing his job as a banker. The allegation they levelled against him was not that he benefitted from the proceeds of the alleged transaction.

“There is a mere allegation of forgery of certain documents which are not within his power to have forged because he is not a director of the company
.
“These four companies were duly registered by the CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) with the names and the directors on record. So, if they say the names of these directors were forged, it is not possible for my client to have forged them. Clearly, he was not the author of the documents.”

He believed that the four domestic servants should be charged by the EFCC as well.

Religion / How Do I Know Whem I'm Making The Right Decision In Life? by driveiwe(m): 11:37am On Aug 30, 2016
Dear Pastor Chris, how do I know when I’m making the right decision?

Answer:

There are people who are of the opinion that when they feel good about a decision, it’s the right one. Feeling good about a decision has nothing to do with it being right or wrong. You can make a good decision and feel bad about it and you can make a bad decision and feel good about it. So it’s got nothing to do with how you feel.

What you need is the knowledge of God’s Word and a good relationship with the Holy Spirit. When you give yourself to the Word and yield to the promptings of the Spirit of God, you’d always be guided in every situation to make decisions that are consistent with God’s will and purpose for you. And if it requires that you talk to someone, you can discuss with your pastor; because pastoral guidance could be of help in certain situations. Apart from that, there are times when fellow Christians can confirm certain decisions without us necessarily telling them about the situation. From our daily interactions and discussions from the scriptures, the Spirit of God speaks through them. That’s why it’s important that you keep company with people who love the Lord just like you. With them, you’ll always be in that safe place where the Spirit of God will continually minister to you.

Politics / Adebutu: Kashamu Led 50 Thugs To Attack Me In Port Harcourt by driveiwe(m): 1:55am On Aug 22, 2016
A member representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North constituency in the House of Representatives, Oladipupo Adebutu, had accused Senator representing Ogun East in the red chamber, Buruji Kashamu, having attacked him with about 50 thugs in Port Harcourt during the aborted Peoples Democratic Party convention.

The incident he alleged happened on Friday, August 16, a day before the aborted convention at the Presidential Hotel in Port Harcourt.

He made this allegation on Sunday in Abeokuta while addressing journalists on the crisis rocking the PDP, both in Ogun State and the national level.
“Senator Buruji Kashamu came to the Presidential Hotel, he was advancing towards the car park area, and coming towards my direction with about 50 thugs.

“When I saw him, I sensed danger, and I had to quickly run into the reception and cried out that Sheriff and Kashamu want to kill me. Then the Makarfi’s loyalists quickly came to my rescue.”
But in a swift reaction, Kashamu has said there was no iota of truth in the whole allegation, describing it as baseless and unfounded.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Austin Oniyokor, it stated, “We wish to state that nothing could be farther from the truth. There was no contact whatsoever between Senator Kashamu and Hon. Adebutu. The senator does not move with thugs and could not have done so in the company of respectable Board of Trustees members whom he rode with to the Presidential Hotel in Port Harcourt where he saw Adebutu.

Politics / 1,900 Condemned Convicts Cause Riots In Prisons by driveiwe(m): 12:54am On Aug 22, 2016
There are indications that the various riots and jailbreaks that occurred in some prison formations across the country might have been instigated by convicts on death row.

It was learnt on Sunday that there were 1,900 convicts on death row in the prisons across the land while some of them had been awaiting execution for years.

Sources in the Nigeria Prisons Service stated that the authorities were having problems with the condemned criminals, noting that they were not amenable to correction.

There was a riot at Abakaliki prisons, Ebonyi State last week in which about six inmates were shot dead while attempting to escape.

This happened less than a week after 15 inmates escaped from the Nsukka Prisons, Enugu State.

Checks indicate that the management of the prisons service is worried by the refusal of state governors to sign the death warrants of the death-row convicts or commute their sentence to life imprisonment.
It was gathered that the condemned convicts often violated prison rules and regulations and also influenced other regular inmates to defy orders, leading to enforcement of the rules by wardens, which sometimes led to protests or riots.

A source said, “We have 1,900 convicts on death row nationwide and the governors have refused to sign their death warrants so that they can face execution.
These convicts have become an albatross to the prison authorities. They instigate other inmates, particularly the awaiting trial inmates to resist orders and induce them to engage in riots. There have been instances where some of them were found to have facilitated the escape of inmates from prisons.”

Investigations revealed that the prison staff were overwhelmed with the huge number of inmates estimated at about 67, 000 with about 72 per cent awaiting trial.

Due to the increasing number of inmates, the NPS on account of inadequate members of staff, has resorted to collapsing shifts from three to two, making wardens to work 12 straight hours per day instead of eight.

Meanwhile, the NPS has attributed the incident at Abakaliki prisons to the refusal of some inmates to allow their cells to be searched by prison wardens, adding that six inmates died, while 10 inmates and six prison officers were severely injured.

A statement by the Prisons Service Public Relations Officer, Francis Enobore, said the Controller General of Prisons, Ja’afaru Ahmed, had set up a three-man panel to carry out a detailed investigation into the incident in order to establish both the immediate and remote causes of the riot.

The church has little or less to do about the issue cos the church also consists of both the secular musicians and the gospel artists. You as a religious individual will play gospel songs once in a while but the secular ones are on daily basis. Take download sites for example. The daily record for secular music download is way higher than the latter. Me for instance only play gospel songs on Sunday mornings or sometimes when I'm in the mood. But the other one is always topping my playlist.

Religion / Will Gospel Music Ever Supercede Secular Music In Nigeria? by driveiwe(m): 5:23pm On Aug 20, 2016
With the offsprings of new churches and its denominations spreading across the nation and even to Europe, why in the country would secular music still supercede gospel music.

Well come to think of it if a church like living faith for example decides to promote an artist, surely that artist would become an house hold name.
What about redeems and MFM, so on and so forth these artists will so dominate the airwaves positively, that secular music won't have a space to breath.

Someone drew my attention to Christ embassy, that they are swift in promoting their artist, and I drew a research on it and discovered it was very true, reason you got names like Sinach, Frank Edwards,Buchi, Eben, these stars are just huge, with huge bank accounts, Because their church has decided to make them a huge success.

What about house on the rock? Family worship centre? koza?? hmmmm all these are new generational churches who has seen great value and potential in promoting gospel music across the world

Now what if other churches in Nigeria emulates this, won't gospel music take over secular music in Nigeria?
well I just aired my view. peace out.
Politics / Budget Padding: Jibrin Disowned By 10 Principal Officers by driveiwe(m): 2:00am On Aug 19, 2016
The Body of Principal Officers of the House of Representatives said on Thursday that the decision to sack its former Chairman, Committee on Appropriation, Mr. Abdulmumin Jibrin, was a collective action.

They also disassociated themselves from Jibrin and his recent allegations

It said Jibrin was sacked in response to agitation by the majority of members after they discovered that he abused the 2016 budget.

The principal officers also noted that the budget would have suffered more abuse in the hands of Jibrin had the House, the Senate and a team from the Executive not met to retrieve it from the former chairman.

They explained that the rescue mission started after various Ministries, Departments and Agencies complained of being harassed by Jibrin.

It was the first time the principal officers came out boldly as a body to disown Jibrin since he began his budget-padding allegations against Dogara and three of the principal officers on July 21.

All 10 principal officers of the House signed the document.
They are Dogara; Deputy Speaker, Yussuff Lasun; Majority Leader, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila; Chief Whip, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa; Deputy Leader, Buba Jibril; Deputy Whip, Pally Iriase; Minority Leader, Leo Ogor; Deputy Minority Leader, Chukwuka Onyeama; Deputy Minority Leader, Yakubu Barde; and Deputy Minority Whip, Binta Bello-Maigeri.

They described Jibrin’s allegations as “wild” and “baseless.”

The joint statement by the principal officers, read in part, “The proponent (of budget-padding), the recently sacked Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, sought to make allegations of impropriety against the leadership of the House over the process and content of the 2016 budget passed by the National Assembly and signed into law.

“While the leadership is determined to ensure that absolute diligence, maturity and due process are employed in dealing with the allegations, instead of joining the accuser in a press war, it is important to state, in the interest of the agitated public, that the allegations are wild, baseless and unfounded.

“Good enough, all the said allegations raise issues that can be easily verified and the public will be availed ample opportunity upon the resumption of the House.

“In the meantime, however, the leadership of the House of Representatives wishes to reaffirm that it took collective action, in conjunction with the Senate and a team from the Executive, to rescue the 2016 Budget when it became obvious that the former appropriation Chairman had placed both the document and the process in jeopardy resulting in a spate of agitation from Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

“Furthermore, the decision to relieve the erstwhile Appropriation Chairman of his position was a collective decision of the leadership in response to unrelenting pressures from the overwhelming majority of Honourable members who were irked by the former Chairman’s gross abuse of the budget process.

“Both actions were taken in the best interest of the institution and the nation for which we take full responsibility.

“Truth may be slow but it usually always wins the race in the end. We have no doubts.”

The development came as Jibrin said on Thursday that he stood by his allegations against Dogara, Lasun; Ado-Doguwa and Ogor.

Jibrin, in a statement in Abuja, said he believed Dogara and the three other officials would soon be arrested by anti-graft agencies and charged for corruption.

He said this would be as a result of the petitions he submitted to the agencies against them.

Jibrin, who insisted that he stood by his allegations, claimed that many Nigerians had expressed support for his campaign and were worried that Dogara had yet to be arrested.

“For the avoidance of doubt, let me restate that I have interacted severally with anti-corruption agencies.

“It is however heartwarming to know that they are indeed working meticulously on the matter.

“I have little doubt that they will do justice expeditiously and sooner than letter, we will get to the point where every Nigerian is waiting for — the arrest of Speaker Dogara …”

Jibrin alleged that the Speaker had not been charged because he was using his position to obstruct “justice.”

He added, “Nigerians must remain vigilant because Speaker Dogara is using his office to obstruct and neutralise investigation.

“He is also using same and the time he has now before the long arm of the law catches up with him to hurriedly clean up the mess on his desk, spend money on all sort of consultants and people he thinks can help him out through subterranean means.

“On our side, while waiting for the response of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, on my letter, we are reaching out to everyone or group that can support this worthy cause against Dogara-Gate, the biggest corruption case in the history of our country.”

The speaker’s office said it had responded sufficiently to Jibrin’s allegations.

“Please, refer to our earlier statements on Jibrin,” the Speaker’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Turaki Hassan, said.

Here are 12 famous Internet firsts that were monumental in shaping web history.
1. The first email was sent by Ray Tomlinson to himself in 1971. "The test messages were entirely forgettable. . . . Most likely the first message was QWERTYIOP or something similar," he said.
2. The first domain name ever registered was
Symbolics.com on March 15, 1985. Now it serves as a historic site.
3. The first website was dedicated to information about the World Wide Web and went live on August 6, 1991. Here's the url:

4. The first picture ever uploaded on the web was posted by Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the World Wide Web) on behalf of a comedy band called Les Horrible Cernettes.
5. The first AOL Instant Message was sent by Ted Leonsis to his wife on Jan. 6, 1993. It read, "Don't be scared ... it is me. Love you and miss you."
His wife replied, "Wow ... this is so cool!" Leonsis later became AOL's Vice Chairman.
6. Joe McCambley ran the first banner ad ever online. It went live in October 1994 on HotWired.com and it promoted 7 art museums, sponsored by AT&T.
7. The first item sold on eBay (back then it was AuctionWeb) was a broken laser pointer for $14.83 in 1995. The man who bought it told founder Pierre Omidyar he collected broken laser pointers.
8. The first book purchased on Amazon was Douglas Hofstadter's Fluid Concepts and Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought

Romance / These Type Of Ladies Will Hardly Or Never Get Married by driveiwe(m): 1:36pm On Aug 06, 2016
These type of ladies will hardly or never get married
.
.

1) Easy laid girls: Hardly will you find a man that will settle with a lady that is very easy to get laid with, unless on movies, but in real life, nah nah.The harder she proves, the more relevant she becomes.

2) Loud mouthed Females:
A lady who's an extreme talker, seems to be irritating by most male folks, because here in Africa a woman is expected to be reserve and moderate in speech.

3) The fast food Chick:
It's crystal clear to all that a lady that cannot cook and always prefer meals from fastbfoods are not potential wife materials.

4) The Tomboy style: Very rare a guy can even possess courage to go ask a lady who's acting like a boy for a date, it's like asking your fellow guy out cause he see's her like a dude.

5) Egoistic lady: God has made a man to be a head of a woman he marries, and not the other way round, some ladies are smart enough to hide this attitude, and unveils when she marries him i.e when age starts telling on her.

6) Unhygienic Babe;
No matter how pretty she looks and sexy she seems, if she stinks with an offensive body odour, she's a non material for dudes.

7) Over religious:
Being religious is great but not dressing well as a result of religion, or moving from one prophet to the other in the name of miracle is a big NO to dudes.

cool The high-up chicks:
I call them high up because these types when taken out by dudes to drink, they drink more than the dudes, before a guy says jack she's already down with more bottles and drugs, No man needs his wife to be worst than himself in habits meant for men.
